WHY WE ARE DOING MOD'S JOB?

What we are getting by doing moderator jobs? reporting players? 

Like now i have 6 screenshots what i can report and they all get ban...

Why we are doing this? we should get 200crys for each report...

If this happened, then people would leave all their work and annoy players, by disturbing them, so they rage and violate rules in chat....and send a screenshot to the mods and then happily take their reward, and then again repeat.....isn't it?

 

BTW, this has been suggested before various times, but declined due to many reasons...:)

They'd rather do that than battle for crystals? And reports sent in will be checked for provocation, and if there is any = ban for both and no reward.

Perhaps you didn't get what I meant...

I actually meant that let's say player X pushes player Y, doesn't let him play, etc etc...

The player Y rages and uses inappropriate language in chat against player X....then X would report and get the reward for doing wrong acts...

 

Also more fraud actions will happen, like what drazer said in the post right above this one...

 

 

and BTW, people do not report the the Violators section for any greed....many just post like that...

I simply enjoy reporting offending friends to show them that they should be careful while chatting with me. I don't usually report random players.

I get your point but mods dont have time to spy on every battle, you have to make the accusations yourself, if they are valid they will be banned, and they will know why

You're reporting people because you want to get rid of the swearing, hacking scum. No one is forcing you to report people, that's a choice you made. TBH I wouldn't mind a very minor reward for a correct report.

Nobody is forcing you to report players. If you don't want to do it - don't do it. If you are offended by chat violators - report them. Your reward is justice, i.e. the offender getting banned. When you are reporting players on the forum you aren't really helping the mods, you are just forcing them to spend more time on the reports, instead of actually helping players in game chat. Therefore there is no reason to reward you with crystals for it.

 

Besides, if the administration starts giving out rewards for reporting, the report section will be flooded with even more pointless topics such as "this player is flooding - ban him", simply because people will want to get crystals.

To be honest with you, with poor English like that, I doubt anyone can understand you. I barely get the purpose of this topic.

 

But anyways, I seem to see that you're complaining on the fact that moderators get paid for banning people while we don't get paid for reporting in the violations section.

The bottom line of your argument is, is that mods don't get paid for just banning violators, but for handling the chat/forum (dependent on the staff position). We just report, they do far more than just that. Plus, it's not that if they see a violator, they ban him, but they must spend time to look for violators and handle the chat from profanity and flood conversations.

And like MAF said above, players should definitely NOT get paid (even a minimum amount) for reporting, it'll just lead to flooding the violations section with useless topics.

 

I know I sound like a total "mod wannabe", but that just is the answer to your complaint.

 

And on a final note, weather the mods do their jobs correctly or not, is a whole nother story sir.

Er, we aren't doing any job at all. When we see a violator, we're not obliged to do anything at all. But, in the interests of the community, it's better to report the violator at once. Remember, a violator is bound to be banned sooner or later, so paying a particular player for reporting him doesn't make much sense.

I don't get the point to this thread. As stated in a previous post, no one is forcing you to report violators but in the interest of the community and making it a better/safer place for all of us, the process to report them is there for the ones who want to use it. Moderators don't particularly like to spend hours going through reports as we'd rather be on the lobbies dealing with issues that happen in real time but you've got to remember the number of servers on the game, number of games on the servers and number of players in them games vs the number of moderators. It's not an easy feat to cover everything but there normally is moderators active at all times of the day just maybe on different servers. 

 

 

Regardless if you're a moderator, admin, game violator or player we are all one community and the only way the community can grow is by everyone helping eachother to make tanki a fun, safe and enjoyable place for all.
