Defending premium players

     It has been a while since the premium accounts came out, and so far, the reception has been....well....not good (to put it nicely). I don't have any problem with that, in fact I was also against the integration of premium accounts, but the rudeness with which some normal players have treated the premium players is appalling. During the day, I was playing in a Rio CTF battle, there were four premium players on the opposing team. All was well at first, then, in the chat box, there appeared the words "(unprintable word) premium noob." Soon my whole team was chanting those words no matter what happened, as if all the worlds problems were because of those "premium noobs." It wasn't the first time I had seen a premium player abused. I fear that whenever we get slain (I love that word) by a premium, our automatic reaction is that it is because he is premium, not because we are lacking in the skill to defeat him. 

     Now, enough of the intro, now I am getting to the main part of this argument. I've thought a lot about this, and, the more I think, the more cons I start seeing with having a premium account. I'll list the three main ones:

1. They receive a lot of flak. This is obviously the most pronounced one. As I've already mentioned, people seem to think that all disagreeable things should be blamed on the premium players. How does that make them feel? Probably, with most, it's water off a ducks back. Some, though, are hurt by the constant insults being hurled at them. One of my friends said he wishes he could have his ten dollars back, because everybody is intent on badmouthing him.

2. They aren't as skillful as their rank suggests. This isn't as obvious, but it's still a valid point. Say my friend and I create an account at the same time, and he pays for premium. After a month of playing side by side and getting exactly the same amount of xp points, I'll be a wo1, and he'll be a wo5 (because of the xp bonus). I'll be perfectly happy, I have the skill of a wo1, and I'm playing with other wo1s. My friend, though, is in quite a predicament. He has the skill of a wo1, and he's playing with wo5s. I realize that my logic is slightly flawed, but it's still something to think about.

3. People pick on them. In one battle one of my teammates actually said in team chat: "I'm going after that premium," he proceeded to hound the poor premium for the rest of the game.

     I hope that this will make you cease from bashing all the premium players, after all they are ordinary people like you. Next time you're tempted to call a premium player an unprintable word, just think about it first.

i just got mine for a trail run and i`m sorry you players think we get better protection well i`m finding i`m not i find no matter what i`m still getting killed in the same xp as before this 15% is nothing sure bonus in crystals and its not much when u look at it ..do`s it pay for the premium pass no it don`t you really have to have a ton of kills to see any good rewards and most of us know these battles are useless in crystals now ..so the rewards just end up being peanuts..for example //   70 kills ....1008 crystals i got ... 504 bonus now i know most of my normal games are only about

 

110 crystals to .....55 bonus points ..so if you play say 10 battles at 55 x 10 = 550 bonus

in a day X that in 7 days =  3,850 ( sorry if i`m wrong bad in math )

then x`s in 4 and you get .....15, 400 now see in buying crystals equals out to being only  10.00

 

so in theory is it worth buying yes and no... if you get good scores then yes but in lower ranks no its not worth spending $10.00 for a one month pass....

Premium accounts are buyers, and of course first reaction from other tankers would be jealousy and hate. Anyone that buys them better be prepared for lots of flak in the battlefield.

 

With that said, a premium user (depending on level of buying) can have access to drug kits, OP kits and that 15% protection paint to dominate the battlefield.

 

Money dominates skill and free players hate it, simply because at times they fail to fight back.

 

Maybe Your friend could have uncheck the option where the premium stuff is visible to others.

 

And don't forget switch off the chat if he's that bothered, lol.

 

I face insults all the time when drugging and I generally couldn't be bothered, hahaha. I will make sure I drug twice as hard when insulted :)

An OP paint? I certainly don't think so, and I'm only a wo2. For higher ranks, where the paints can give 40% protection, you aren't gonna use it that much.

Considering the fact that I still see tankers wearing crappy paints at this rank,yeah it's a little bit OP.

 

But I gotta admit: Premium Paint is jack of all trades, master of none.

Premium idea is good. Having double outcome, not gonna effect me if someone else is premium. Lots of other games have the same concept. BUT a premium is stronger than me with a paint and able to buy equipment that I need AGES to get? No, that's the worst premium concept. It's pay to win now.

I always try to drub them and yell at them/ call them a noob because most of Premiums I saw at my rank can't turn turret but come in top 3.

How do you know who is a child who steals off his mother's credit card and who is an adult who works for a living and wishes to put his money to use to keep up with the rest due to their lack of playing time/freedom children have? Time is a luxury adults do not have, therefore, money is their compensation.

 

I also read the Russian forums. They may complain, but not to the point of crying and trying to tell the devs what to do - they just deal with the reality, not what isn't. They make the EN forums look bad because compared to the Russians, this forum sounds like a bunch of whiney and spoiled brats who always want everything their way.

i see your point, buy it was their decision. They have +50% xp and crystals, a good paint, and ability to buy XTs abd Eternity. If they don't want to see reactions, disable chat. If they don't want to be premium, don't order it next time. Life is simple. My opinion is that those buy premium who are not successful enough because they don't have enough time or they are simply noobs.

What if they went ahead with the original 20% protection - could that one paint carry a player through all the ranks? Like many have stated before, the current PA paint seems to do well at lower levels, but I am interested to see at what level is is actually "even" and what level it actually starts to "drop" in providing protection.

15% protection? Let's see how op it is(how much damage is taken off of the gun):

Firebird m1:-3

Vulcan m1: -5.1

Freeze m1: -6.45

Thunder m1:-10.5

Smoky m1: -3

Isida m1: -5.25

Shaft m1:-22.5 (sniper) -6 (arcade)

Railgun m1:-17.25

Twins m1:-1.8

Ricochet m1: -3.15

Hammer m1: -9.15

 

-as you can see the more damage the more protection. But an m1 hornet with this protection WILL NOT save you from an m1 shaft, so beware. Also this paint sucks with higher ranks

 

I don't really like buyers :(
