Gold box notifications

Could I suggest a small change to the gold box notifications that appear on the top of the screen (ie., "Gold box will be dropped soon").  It would be good if the text appears in a dark font on a gold background. 

 

This would make it much easier to notice, particularly for those who don't play with sound and miss the gold siren.

Not really necessary besides even if you play with sound muted you can easily see that notification.Just keep your eyes open and you will be okay.

He is right I missed two to three times by not using sound but it will only appear for two to three seconds

I keep my eyes open on the battlefield, with zero sound.  I often miss the notification, which is why I'm suggesting that it's just a bit more prominent.

Well, that'd be bad....

The gold is actually deserved by someone of those who have been playing in the battle for long...and not deserved by those who were just randomly hopping to find a good battle, but suddenly found a gold drop and stole it.....(and other tankers in that battle will be like.... "What happened just now? :mellow: "...

Then how much would the change affect you?

You'd still get it in a different colour (which you already get)...

So, I don't think that this update is really a very necessary one, compared to the other important updates which should be more prior...

Not needed. Tanki already changed the colour of the text from yellow to red to make it more bold. I think that did it.

...So, I don't think that this update is really a very necessary one, compared to the other important updates...

It's not a critical update suggestion, but it would take about 30 sec's to program, so it would not interfere with other update schedules.

Think it the other way round...

You you want to a random player, who just came in after the notification, comes and steals YOUR gold and leave?..you would rage so much...isn't it? The thought of a 'random player' who took your gold will bring so much of anger...isn't it?

The notifications is orange and actualy, if You are in game, then you can miss out this text.

Can there be added a beam where gold is dropping? not after siren, but when it actualy drops.

 

Like mostly when gold falls im still trying to find that place.

Some time ago i joined in a map where gold was dropped and they tryed to find it. I joined the game (spawned near from gold) and just taked it! then i had to leave, because everyone was against me. Whatever.

 

 

So just add a light in the sky when gold is falling so it will bring fight for gold, not only waiting until noone is here to take it.

 

 

AND chat wont be flooded whit Where it dropped? W7*? and something like that.

The alert when it first came in was Yellow and that was very easy to get mixed up in team battles. Right now its fine as it is.

 

Making it bold with a background will not only make it ugly but could make it harder to see as most buildings are darker colours.

It happened to me a few times that I joined a game and after about 20 seconds a notification comes "player has taken the goldbox". Can the notification please be visible from when they first appear till someone takes the goldbox?

You are probably imagining something which I'm not suggesting.  I'm suggesting that the background of the font is solid, not transparent.  With a solid font background it doesn't matter what coloured imagery is behind it. 

 

Also, I don't agree with those who have hijacked the thread, proposing that the notification stays constant.  If that is your suggestion it would be polite to start another topic and not confuse this topic.

Then make that notification to constantly show only for the players who were already inside the battle when it started dropping, and exclude the ones who joined after the gold started dropping, so only those players see it who deserve it...

I never play with sound on so this would be a nice feature.

 

Or maybe make an option to disable all notifications like "we lost the A point" (frankly I don't want to see that every 10 seconds) and leave only the "Goldbox will drop soon" notification to show.

 

Or make an option to choose what color do you want the "Goldbox will drop soon" notification to show in.

Don't agree here...the time period for which the notification is showed might be reduced, but disabling it completely won't be that great....after all we are playing CP for a purpose of the CPs...they should have enough limelight in the battle..:P

Umn... Nope, not needed. the background colour would block the view for some long range shooters, The HUD has already full of everything
