Tanki new camera!

I wrote soo much in there, but yeah.... i had to reload page :(

Pictures will be showed only for 2 weeks!

Back to idea.

My idea is add new camera in tanki and players can enable and disable it.

(This idea will add realistic feelings to game)

This will help you see when you are driving upwards in noise (Driving to tunel upwards you have to hope that, there is no mines or enemy tanks aiming on you while you can actualy damage them, but cant see in your screen, If you will shoot when noone is here, it will be like to say in chat Hey opposite team! im in this tunnel! come and get me!)

for defensing team and all other places so you will be finaly able to shoot when you want!

And there is already 1 way how to attack from bottom base to opposite base, but its hard and opposite team always can attack from base.

This will balance soo much in tanki actualy, because there are soo many places where you are not able to see enemy, while he is aiming on you. Finaly, you will be able to fight back!

And how on earth would having the camera be sideways or upside-down help the player see better in tunnels?

Amm. It is added in so much games. Your tank always stays the same, but all map is moving.

I will try to explain it better.

Have you EVER played 1st person driving games?

if yes, then when you crash your car is not moving in your screen. only map is moving...

I have played FPS games but the problem is that this is a Third Person Shooter based game which makes this sort of camera you are proposing useless.Now don't PM me that I act like this bla bla bla.

I see purpose in this.not with the upsidedown thing, i think that is what sparked people to hate your idea, but with having the screen turn when your tank turns too.

 

 

Have any of you people ever tryed to shoot someone while your at an angle? What about trying to look at a certine angle when you tank is balencing on a corner?Im guessing not or you wouldent be b####ing about this idea. If this was added it would make some things WAY more easy. Cooler parkour vids too :). Hmmm.... the upsidedown screen could be cool for in-battle parkour. Slow down footage or shooting while upside down through the air and you get an epic video.

Perhaps you simply don't know some of the ways you can use your camera with the existing camera controls.

 

First of all you need to be constantly using the camera tilt keys (Q and E for me). If you try and go up that tunnel with the default view, you will end up seeing this:

Which is quite useless.

 

But just by lowering the camera angle you will already be able to see some of the area on the top:

However. by simply driving a bit forwards, turning your turret to the side (or back) and lifting your camera angle up, you are suddenly able to see the whole area above the exit, while still keeping your tank safe in the tunnel.

You can even take it a step further and use the new camera settings to "park" your camera at the exit, while staying back at your base, although this is not recommended at it's difficult to manipulate quickly.

So, in my opinion, the current camera options give you more than enough ability to adjust your view to fit your surroundings. I don't think any changes, especially like the ones you suggest, are necessary.

I agree these camera ideas are not nessisary, but they could still be added in and make some things easier for some people but others can ignor it just lik mouse controls

Sometimes less is more.

If you're talking about the fourth image, the guide on how to achieve it is in the first post here: New camera view looks like spectator

 

The other three views I just got my moving my turret and camera around with standard settings.

Sure, you CAN do things that SpeedyRailGun is giving an example of, but is it more EFFECTIVE? You said yourself, it can be hard to switch the camera modes quickly. If you just have a button tht does it, it will mae things WAY safer. What if your driving along a walland you turn you turret away from it? Then the camera goes extremly close to your tank and it has a downwatd angle to, s its very hard to shoot accuratly(exept shaft).

 

The point is that his idea is not dumb or stupid orba waste of time, it has some good qualitys. Developers are smart, they can edit thingsa bit and make it better.

 

 

 

TO EVERYONE HATEING ON THIS TOPIC: I bet if this exact same thing came out as an update and you had not read this topic, you would either use it or at least understand the good qualitys about it and think it was an OK idea.
