Even the playing field

We have all experienced a game where the game is unbalanced and the opposition is able to overwhelm your side as they either have more players or they all use all 3 power ups incessantly.

 

Accordingly, more players leave and a game of 10 v 9 quickly becomes 10 v 4.

 

You can see them when considering what game to join as the scores for the larger team will be way ahead.

 

Time and time again I have played and seen the opposition abuse power ups and so my side cannot compete, so they all leave. I then leave as I would rather they did not win crystals from my repeated death in the game.

 

It is like a football game with one side of 11 on steroids playing against a team of 5 players.

 

I pick the games where there team difference is 1 and the scores are comparable as I know there is a chance of winning and the extra player can make a difference.

 

So I would like to make 2 suggestions for either all or some games:

 

1. Where there is an imbalance of player numbers, delays respawns for the larger side, so each side can only have the same number of players in play at any time - excluding the normal delay time for re-spawn when you die of course.

 

2. Limit power ups to say 1 or 2 at any one time unless collected from the floor. You see the players all the time re-spawn and then press 2-3-4 before they even enter battle. This way you would have to consider the most useful power up for your activity - eg racing away with a flag, defending or just on a kill mission.

 

I appreciate the game needs the players paying to play to buy these power ups and use them but they also need those that do not pay or pay little as turkeys to shoot.

For your idea number:

 

1) that would be nothing, but to annoy players, coz they'll have to wait for long...maybe they start saying that Tanki is encouraging mults?...and i am afraid, that the system can be easily abused by players by simply refreshing immediately after death...

 

2) what?? We have smart supplies!!! You can use only 1 drug at a time, while the rest 2 have to be pickups....the cool down time is big enough!!

If you're talking about pro battles, then NO! They're made to be such...that would be totally kicking out the drugs from the game..and perhaps it can lead to discontentment amongst players as they cannot have any drug wars now..(and now maybe they start ruining the normal battles of non drugers even more)

Well I like it; I am also constantly searching for battles that have a somewhat even score and even players. Instead of delaying spawns and such, they should implement a re-auto-balance system. An example of this mechanism is the game Team Fortress 2, which many of you guys may or may not have heard of, or even played. In every single battle I've been in, the teams have ALWAYS been balanced, with the exception of an odd number of players (when one team will have one more player than the other). There are points in the game where the teams become very unbalanced like an 8v4, in which case the system will choose random players to re-balance the teams to a 6v6. This process happens with a dialogue that pops up in-game that says "Teams have been re-balanced". 

 

If in the case that it is an 8 all-drugger team vs. a 4 non-drugging team, 2 players from the drugging team will be chosen at random to play on the non-drugging team. They can continue to drug, helping the non-drugging team fight against druggers, giving them some power and hope.

 

Contructive criticism is greatly appreciated on this suggestion. :)

One this week was really close with 5 flags on each side then the reds drugged up and scored a 6th flag in last few minutes.

 

What was a real battle of skill and wits and so great fun was ruined instantly.

 

The best solution is for everyone to leave as soon as the opposition start abusing drugs as they only get crystals for killing players. This will see the abusers leave empty handed or join the opposition so druggie v druggie matches.

 

Vote with your feet folks......or rather tracks.

That would actually be a nice idea to reduce mults as well. If there's a randomize option in battles, it would be hard for a team of friends to control the battle. As mostly a solo player, I agree with this. Things would have been more far today.

Battles like that are great. A nice even battle, and the only way to win is with a few drugs. Had one of those a few days back, was one of my fav battles in a while

Excessive respawning time as suggested is not a good idea, but I'm in favour of extending the respawning time for a few seconds for a team which grossly outnumbers another team.
