Changes to micro-upgrades

They have blocked my main account USA-POWER in the excuse of account transfer after I let one of my friends to try titan m3, while i have paid more than 800 dollars on it. They thought they can make buyers spend more money by blocking their accounts then opening new accounts

Paying moneys on your account does not allow you to break the Game Rules - sharing an account is punished with the permanent block of it, no matter of excuses. When you joined the Game, you read the Rules and agreed on them, so if you broke them you get the needed punishment.

Weight together with power also effects acceleration and braking force (as I once found out in the russian wiki).

If you upgrade your weight you would have to upgrade power as well. But the power-to-weight ratio is not the same through out the upgrade path :/

Even if you keep your power-to-weight ratio the tank feels a little more sluggish during brake manovers.

 

Besides weight changes the way your hull moves over ramp-ends (how far do I fly, how high do I take off, which angle I can cross edges without getting stuck because my tanks interia prevents it from beeing effected).

And it also effects how high/steep upwards I can shot if I rock my tank (Wasp) back and fwd while shooting - because with much weight the nose won't raise up as high as it used to do.

People, anytime, anytime, ANYTIME options are taken away, anytime choice is taken away, even in the case of micro-upgrades, people lose interest. Options and choices make things INTERESTING. They make things adjustable to PERSONAL taste.

The LOSS of choice HURTS MORE than any perceived economic trickery.

This idea of making the game easier to understand for new players is a half-baked one. Explain, illustrate, give examples, SPELL THINGS OUT. That is how to make things more easily understood. And by the way, a learning curve is an important part of life.

Does Tanki Online not notice that MANY of the game's players are NO LONGER NEW and therefore do not wish to be treated as if they were?

Long-term: Because this MU 'upgrade' is now cost-prohibitive, everything will eventually become baseline equipment.

 

Some may look to Premium to accelerate advancement as now those bonuses look more enticing and it comes with its own paint that needs no upgrading since it is protective overall. I think most users will limit their garage now and specialize in one to three configurations max and will probably wait for a certain kit or two (according to their level) that fits their playing style, avoiding the purchase of anything else.

 

So now Tanki is telling me that with this upgrade a turret+hull combo that is micro-upgraded to 20% on all parameters will overpower the same kind of turret+hull combo that used the same amount of crystals but to upgrade only the Damage and Protection parameters? I would take the latter without a second thought.

Ok, so maybe I do care. Probably the most critical part of my strategy was how I micro-upgraded my tank to suit my playing style, but now it's gone and became generic. A large portion of this games appeal to me is also gone…… and it doesn't seem I'm the only one who feels this way.

This update really sucks..

Although not everyone will agree with me but i am just gonna speak my mind honestly - so here goes the your so called required feedback :

 

1. The price of upgrading the some steps is same (like for eg. 10 crystals for 1st step) immaterial of what modification it is - hull , turret or be it a paint; it should have been different for different modifications & paints of various protections.

 

2. The price of speed up was said to be fixed at 50 % of the upgrade price but i found out it to be at 70 % of the upgrade price.

 

3. There are so many tankers out there (like me on my other high rank account) who upgraded all or most of the parameters simultaneously instead of upgrading just a single parameter - so it totally ruins the game for them, as this update fully upgraded other parameters for free without the other tankers doing any hard work or spending any crystals at upgrading them . Some tankers got free next modification without them spending on all parameters while generalissimos who would have upgraded just one of the parameters have now got the full MUed M3 that is an M4 for free.

 

4. This update states that the price of upgrading has been reduced - that could have been done simply without so much fuss.

 

5. Lastly, not every one likes to upgrade every parameter of anything -  this update has taken away that liberty from the tankers (like me - i didn't wanted to upgrade my hull's weight, but now i have got no choice).

 

Instead I would suggest to roll back the update & simply let the old system of upgradation prevail with your so called reduced amount of crystals needed for the same.

 

Also it would be so much good if an update is provided that lets anyone upgrade different parameters of anything simultaneously (like for eg. if it takes x crystals & 2 hrs to upgrade 1 step hornet's protection & if it takes say y crystals & 1 hr 58 minutes to upgrade 1 step top speed of the hornet then if anyone wants to upgrade both parameters, he should be able to upgrade both of them in 2 hrs with x + y amount of crystals) like any person multitasking in real life.

I too would like to be able to micro-upgrade multiple parameters of any equipment simultaneously - actually - would have liked.

With this update, I don't think I'll be micro-upgrading anything.

Tanki Online has forgotten the real appeal of the game - to be one's self, to be an individual. That is what the customizations allowed.

Why they have turned their backs on this is puzzling. I am actually in shock. I can't get over it.

At least we still have gameplay.

Take a look at my screenshot. Before this update I needed to pay 13734 cry to +1 protection from Isida and now I have to pay 42k for the same. So great of this update  <_<  :wacko: . And u say the price is same as before !!

Maybe the option to upgrade one parameter at a time can be kept, and this update can be a secondary option for those who want all parameters upgraded.

 

Probably way too complicated to implement though...we'll see.

I could be on my other account using up what very little time is left on my 100% Score Multiplier Pass to rank up but here I am.

Some of you know me as Generalissimo Here2Play others know me as Commander Tombestone and some even know me more personally as Brian. After playing for months and countless hours I am now past the crossroads of whether to quit or not and have made my decision. Well after much consideration I have decided to quit and leave Tanki Online. I have played with some excellent players, made some excellent friends and have had a lot of fun along the way. There does come a time when you have to step back and take a look at what is actually going on and which direction the game is going. I have been doing that for the last couple of months and with every new update it simple spells out "GREED". With no thought of the players but the thought of there wallets Tanki Online has made this game all about making money and I am not impressed.

Lets start the break down of the updates.

We will go all the way back to the update that only gives you the option to only buy a Turret or Hull according to your rank. This update has limited everything considerably. I no longer have the choice of buying any M2 Turrets or Hulls as my options are all very expensive M3's. I myself would have liked to have bought a M2 Isida, Rail, Titan and micro upgraded as I go to build my garage up but because of the update it turned into M3 which once again is way to expensive to buy. We the non buying players have no choice in anything we get now, all of it in turn ends up being to expensive. With the new Micro Upgrading System we will barley be able to upgrade one Turret and Hull never mind trying to get a proper garage going. When players had the option to buy any Turret or Hull it didn't mean they had to use them but gave them a chance to buy them and micro upgrade them as they played with there main turret and hull. This gave players a better garage and something to build on. Now you either save and save or yes you guessed it buy crystals to purchase the equipment. Oh, I almost forgot. With a Premium account a player should be able to afford all the Turrets and Hulls or at least most them and the benefits that goes with them.

We will now proceed to the "Premium Accounts".
Who could resist the temptation of a 50% Score Multiplier Pass, Special Paint, better sales on equipment and the best of all the 100% Bonus Crystals. Well I am here to tell you this this guy. All they have done is given a massive advantage to buyers leaving non buyers helpless. As Premium Account holders will be able to advance quicker with the best weapons and be able to afford the new Micro Upgrade System the non buyers will be dominated. Obviously this was well thought out because with the 100% Crystal Bonus it's the only way to afford anything anymore unless you buy crystals either way more money for Tanki Online.

The next update was a controversial one. The removal of the "Score Multiplier Pass".
As I can understand playing the game without one is a benefit because you don't miss out on crystals it is clear that adding it to the Premium account is just another bonus for buyers for those who want to rank a little quicker. Thus once again putting more money into the pockets of Tanki Online. I actually had to stop to think about this a bit as to whether it was a good update or not and I say "not". Not just for the reason that Premium Account holders only get the pass but for other reasons. For some players they come on to play with friends and as some have more time to play others might not. Maybe they are in school, work or who knows it doesn't matter what the reason. The Score Multiplier Pass was an excellent option for players to be able to keep up with the ranks of there friends. Taking that away has actually become in the way of friends playing along side each other. I know if I
wouldn't have had one I would not have been able to catch up or it would have taken forever to be able play with or against my friends. For the players that used it to rank rapidly it is their loss because you do loose out on valuable crystals that they could have built a better garage, used them for micro upgrading or just buying equipment out right. It was a choice only the players could make on how they wanted to use it.

 

Now we head into the new "Micro Upgrading System".
Now we hit on the touchy subject that made my decision so much easier on leaving. The new Micro Upgrading System. So for me having 2 accounts with M3's I was in the process of micro upgrading when the Server Maintenance started. I was upgrading my M3 Thunder from 20 to 21 out of 25 when the update happened. I only had a couple hours left after waiting about a day and a half and after the update I came to realize that this upgrade was not added into there new method of upgrading. According to what I read and understand after my micro upgrade that was in progress I should have been at a 46 out of 50 on there new system, didn't happen. So I emailed them and brought this to their attention. Well I am here to tell you Tanki Online and staff are never wrong in their eyes. I used up the last of my crystals which was a lot for that upgrade never to get it so from that I figure all upgrades that any player were having done during the Server Maintenance down time has not been added to the micro upgrades. The previous way of Micro Upgrading was perfect a player could upgrade a parameter, play while they wait for the upgrade and by the time it was ready they would have enough for the next upgrade. Players where able to micro upgrade parameters to suit there game play needs. This update is just another ploy to get more money out of players as the new upgrade system gets so high in price there is no way to keep up the upgrading. Oh wait, unless you have a Premium Account or buy crystals. This update has taken out all the thought process and tactical decisions a player could have made.

I already know from experience that the Tanki Online staff is going to jump all over this saying "Oh, these updates were good and it benefits the players greatly" but that's just hogwash. They will try to justify these upgrades, argue their points and make it look good in their favor. I know better and so do many players. It benefits Tanki Online wallets that's it, that's all. Many of us have seen the changes with each and every update, many of us are quitting because of these updates and for the remainder of the players they will soon realize why we are doing this.

If this is how the new Tanki X is going to be which really hasn't been anything more than useless talk and videos so far than I want nothing to do with that either. Tanki Online has taken something that was fun and enjoyable and made it into nothing more than an aggravating money pit for players if they want to play. If the plan is to push players so far that they leave Tanki Online thinking that they will move on over to Tanki X, well some of us will not forget what happened here. You have completely ruined Tanki Online what's to say you wont do it to Tanki X?

 

For all you buyers I have one question for you?

You spend money on Premium Accounts, Turrets, Hulls and Micro Upgrades but what guarantee do you have that those will transfer over to Tank X, none.
 

For the players staying on Tanki Online do you seriously think this is going to get better?
Absolutely not, they will get worse. Tanki Online does not go back to previous versions or remove updates.
 

For the non buyers I have nothing but a good luck to you your going to need it.

 

Tanki Online why not just make it pay to play wouldn't it be easier rather than gradually doing what you are doing?

 

To the friends I met on here I am truly sorry. I have enjoyed playing with you and against you. The conversations have been epic and just hanging out was awesome too.

And i personally would buy for tanki but i live in a average country and i not got the luxury for buying games..

So i am proud non-buyer and got generalismo account with full m3 xD

And yes,if you want nice garage,you really need to be above average with a lot and always buy at sales and if Tanki X not do transfer of accounts,they will sure lose at least 100k players from start..

This change takes away all my self-control of how I want to use my tank skills. For example on one tank I prefer speed and don't want the heavy weight. On another I prefer full damage rather than reload. Also I rarely add weight to hulls like TITAN but now the thing is so f-ing slow that gathering flags is nearly impossible. Still yet I may prefer one paint protection over another and would rather only upgrade that portion. You guys have really fouled up my style of playing tanki. I have many accounts; all with unique tank combos with specific upgrades in mind. You have totally abolished this method of my choosing. Sure some of my accounts upgraded to a new level w/out me spending crystals but that was a one time deal. Already I have played less tanki because I feel a loss. I can only hope you reconsider this upgrade change and revert back to the way it was before; like when you changed the "mission" awards after  realizing you were too generous. In the end I understand that your goal is to make money for TANKIONLINE and this must have been your true motivation for the change. AND WITHOUT A MERE MENTION OR QUERY FROM YOUR TANKERS! FAIL!

The game NEVER takes anything out of your wallet. That is a CHOICE only you can make. That is not what has players aching.

The issue is that now your wallet might not be adequate even if you wanted to make that choice.

WELL SAID!!!!! You are correct in my opinion and I fully share you viewpoints on the loss of control over establishing our tanks to suit our needs. I have many account combos that all reflect each turret and hull. Each combo uses different upgraded parameters. EX: A wasp needing speed for CTF uses low weight(only enough for stability). On one of my accounts I was working on RAILGUN W/ HUNTER; all parameters on Hunter were full except weight and I was killing it. After new upgrade they fully loaded my Hunter's weight and now it like driving on glue. I still need a substantial amount of points before I can move to M1 Hunter and I am not sure how its maneuverability will be?? OH!--YES, IT IS ALL ABOUT TANKI'S PROFITS. I don't blame them for wanting to make more money but they hampered the gamers control over their own investment whether they paid real money or not. There is so much more to be illustrated here but enough said!! EXCEPT, yeah my time on Tanki has already tapered off and I don't see a bright future. Cheers!

Your post is truthful, expressive and well written. I thank you for taking the time to put this info down in a concise and clear manner.

I agree with every word and from all that I've read here, so do many others. All that has developed is about greed and more greed. The buyers can celebrate all they want. I will just sit here and wait to hear the backlash when they realize that all of this new money they spend won't get transferred to the new game. Sigh.

I wish you well in all you do. I, myself have stopped playing both of my accounts. I can't afford to join a rich man's country club game.

We all know generalismos only need MU sale, and they have great saving because, highest rank make earning free crystal quite easy.

 

800k crystal saving in 6 month, i have never saved so much, last time i saved 400k is after they introduced MU.

 

And 1 year of being generalismo, i get a combo of maxed MU, during 6 sales, taking whole year.

Now, MU sale are none, free players' MU speed up waiting time are like doubled, even though the cost of speed up reduced a bit.

 

But how often we pay for speed up except there is discount for speed up. So result slower MU process for non buyers.

 

 

Also, force people to pay for useless paint protection, who will MU 5% fire protection of prodigi.

Also, those who want M4, it is just going to be a dream now, truely a dream, a hard 2 year dream at least.

 

 

M3 at generalismo are just like m2 at marshal rank.

 

 

Those who at generalismo rank willl know, without MU to M4, you are just a free kill in battle. Those buyer, drugger, or long time free player like me, all with m4 waiting for u.

 

To me as free player with M4, the story not end here.

 

Even with m4, i always feel you need have good paints with at least 2 40% protection against 2 guns, like clay mu-ed, needle-mued, inferno-mued, tiger-mued, emerald-mued,

 

Even wih that, you may still think about get Rock and Lamerjack, Zeus, Raccoon mued.

 

If not, you just will lose out to thise buyer with full garage, which tanki is promoting in last several updates.

If you check my profile, i only have m4 rail and m4 hornet, because just to maxed to m4 and alll those paint with some mu, it will cost you a lot.

 

 

Having m3 full garage now is nothing at generalismo rank, it is about how big is your M4 garage.
