Changes to micro-upgrades

It kind of does. The whole Game Rules section tells you that you "play at your own risk". The only problem is that nobody reads the rules.

I think many come the rules.

but the question here is.

I think the tanki online was created for people from all over the world play. (right?)

then to make such updates (they are targeting money only!)

with this kind of attitude that developers will achieve? get rich? I think not, but will successfully lose many players.) those who do not buy crystals and buying a few crystals.

a game that was different from all other oapenas good gameplay and balance visand, not discriminating those who do not buy many crystals (because the vast majority playing tanki is under 18 and have no work order to buy crystals) but now I see that yes they are discriminating these players without the possibility of buying many or none crystals.

I have seen in the past not far a great browser online game losing players. with this same attitude just like you tanki-online are having. (only seek money)

I played a great game. is war in medieval epoch.

It is still a good game but lost a lot of players with attitudes like this that you guys have!

the game had won competitions a few times the best MMO browser game or whatever it is called.

I suggest you cut the price of each upgrade. (cut and reasonable)

and update acada take increased damage and recharge, velociade protection but a reasonable increase.

if there were errors in the writing I'm sorry

Tankers!

As of today, the updated system for micro-upgrades has gone live in Tanki Online. Now, improving the parameters of your turrets, hulls and paints is simpler, while speeding up the upgrades is more affordable.

Upgrading all parameters together

With this update, upgrading individual characteristics separately has been replaced with improving all of the item’s parameters together. For example, when upgrading a hull, you’ll be improving its protection, maximum speed, maneuverability, weight and power; all at the same time. The same goes for turrets and paints — when clicking the “Upgrade” button, you’ll be simultaneously boosting all of the weapon’s parameters, or all of the paint’s protections.

Fixed number of upgrades steps

Now, all turrets and hulls have a fixed number of upgrade steps — 50. Every subsequent step will increase in price (just like before), but the increase in the parameter is now uniform for all steps. This means final upgrades now make much more sense, as they still give you a significant increase to the parameter.

Speed ups at fixed prices

While the price for fully upgrading an item’s parameters without using speed ups has remained the same, doing it with speed ups will actually cost you less than before. The price for a speed up is now fixed at 50% of the cost of the respective upgrade.

Just like before, fully upgrading the parameters of your turret or hull, will allow you to get its next modification for free (upon reaching the required rank of course).

Converting old upgrades

We’ve converted all of the old upgrades on your equipment to reflect the new micro-upgrades system. Now, the parameters on each of your items have been boosted to match the level of the most upgraded parameter. This has been applied to all turrets, hulls and paints that have been micro-upgraded in any way.

For example, if you had upgraded the damage on your Freeze M2 to 14 steps out of 24 (up to 59,2 health points per second), and this was the most upgraded parameter for this item, the game will choose the step in the new system where the damage is closest to 59,2 and boost all of the turret’s parameters to that level.

If the gun’s damage (or any other parameter) was fully upgraded, the update will have converted all other parameters to maximum, giving you a fully upgraded turret. That also means that once you’ve reached the rank needed to use Freeze M3, you’ll be able to get it for free!

Detailed descriptions of each item’s upgrades will soon be added to our wiki.

That’s all tankers! Check out the new micro-upgrades in action and share your impressions in this topic. Good luck!

I'hv upgrade my M0 rail 7 times in reload time, but after this update I'hv got only 42 MUs for 49 .Pls tell me why....

Hey guy, I am having a very bad feeling....I haven't received any crystals missions, including one free change per day, since they released the new MU system. Is it only happening to me or .....?

Don't worry I get crystal missions all the time still. Infact right now all my missions are crystal missions :)

Giving out free m4 to tons of players => with this update, the devs make it crystal clear that there won't be a transfer of your garage from TO Flash to Tanki X.

Feeling sorry for the those people who are still investing money in a dying game..

+ 1 to all the negative opinions re this update.

Devs, I'm not sure you really understand your players. You can see by many of the comments that players are actually quite intelligent, so no need to dumb down an already fairly basic game.

Before, the main problem with micro-upgrading IMO was the cost - and you've just jacked that right up! You are making the game more simplistic and child-like, but at very grown-up prices!

You are taking away players personal 'connection' to their equipment by limiting individual customisation choices and making their decisions for them.  You are taking something away - and charging more for that 'improvement'.

"Oh but speed-ups will be cheaper" - oh please...

I think the new Tanki X will probably be very limited for non-buyers.

Beautifully expressed. Sagacious.

If I were Tanki, I will make one last move: Only M4 equipment and fully upgraded paints can transfer to Tanki X, plus giving a MU sale and crystal sale.

They won't waste this last opportunity.

on my main acc I have 190k but i have isda m0 i want to get m3 if i upgrade my m0 to full do i get m3 intanly <btw its on major genral>if someone can answer my question it would make my day thx

no you don't.

You would get only M0->upgrade-to->M1 for free, but as your rank allows you to get an M3, you can not make use of this (remember the update, that disabled to buy equipment below your rank?)

So you have to wait for a discount to get the M3 - and then feel happy to fight M4s.

Especially for Isi with it's self healing system M4 makes a huge difference to M3.

Sorry that I couldn't make your day.. but that's the way it is now here.

Guys, I have a question.

In my alt, if I mu my freeze m0, do I get freeze m2 for free? My alt is a Major.

The perimeters are 38/50

on my main acc I have 190k but i have isda m0 i want to get m3 if i upgrade my m0 to full do i get m3 intanly <btw its on major genral>if someone can answer my question it would make my day thx

If i understand it correctly then the anser is NO. To get M3 u need to MU to M3 level. Both of u can't do that. As i know u can only MU 1 "M" up (u can MU to M1, then to M2 and then to M3 and u would be broke). So u both can MU to M1 level and then u get M1 for free. But of course I can be wrong.

Flappy, to get M2 u have to buy it for 61400 cry. MU will cost u 140400 cry.

The same is for test_kazi, buy for 166900 cry or MU for 506750 cry.

PS

As I said (or rather typed) in my previous post this new update SUCKS. If they don't fix this mess soon I will leave the game and they can forget about my money.

Very good answer ! I will send your answer to MacDonald's and tell them to hire you as their new CEO. In the future we will see MacDonald's ads say: From now on we are only selling you Big Mac because more options make you more confusing and difficult to eat.

It kind of does. The whole Game Rules section tells you that you "play at your own risk". The only problem is that nobody reads the rules.

Yes when you pay for a product you bought it at your own risk, that doesn't mean there isn't warranty on that product, that doesn't mean the product shouldn't perform as it is intended to do. Tanki is increasing the price and ruining the gameplay for the same product with each update, of course you are still playing at your own risk, but increasing the price rapidly to get players to spend more than they already have will not work eventually, rather than keeping a majority of paying players, you would end up keeping a few upper tier higher paying players and few or no lower paying/free players , the ratio they spend may be lower than the original ratio of money spent combined by the upper and lower tier players prior to those updates. The least the developers could do is take caution when releasing updates as it is the players they are creating the update for. The argument 'The developers own and run the game' to me is quite void and ignorant, because the game itself is effectively a form of product to the paying/non paying customer, and it must be attained in the appropriate way to keep the balance of players proportionate.

At the moment it seems pointless to be a free player, when i first joined the game, i didn't intend to spend money, i saw how good the game was and a point behind invested some money in it, which i did (and luckily not too much), before this update the price of the game was roughly between 100-1000$ us dollars depending on what you invest it, that ratio has at least increased to 500$ -2000$ after this update alone. It seems meaningless to invest in something that is just going to continue to force you to pay, that's not right at all

I am extremely dissapointed with the new update. MUs are now expensive, take way too long, and I can't MU tanks for parkour!!! I MUed my wasp to max speed and armor for parkour, but now it has maximum weight! Parkour will never be the same! This is the second terrible change you have made to the game, the first being adding a laser to shaft. Please change the game back to the original, or give the option for people to MU each individual specification or all together.

--- Nevermind, I just watched the VLog

What I find inexcusable is that tankers scream about Tanki not giving a big enough discount, but when they DO give a discount, a massive discount, nobody acknowledges it, nobody is thankful for it, they simply find something else to gripe about. They flood the topic with hate and congratulate each other for doing so. Yet they use the update's benefits, profit from them, and sit ready to pile on the next update.

Oh, so someone who upgrades his turning speed of all his equipment gets a full M4, and a guy who has spent triple the price upgrading his damage/protection to 10/25 gets less ? #fair

And what if you only want to upgrade certain aspects of your tank, huh, Mr.Pony ? Let's take that salary from you and then hear your opinion(s)

Do you have any evidence to back this up because I bet you I can find a ton of thanks for big discounts and even in this topic, I can find lots of thanks too. But why your aggressive and angry tone? Calm down pal!

We had no choice to accept this update. Many profited sure, but not everybody. The gain for the majority will be short lived because now most will have to go through expensive micro-upgrading in order to compete. It's a loss for players and tanki alike. So please stop your moaning at players who raise concerns and do yourself a favour, start listening and do your job and help instead of fanning the flames.

If, by massive discount, you mean those that received the equivalent of the next mod because they happened to fully upgrade one parameter - well that was just lucky for them.  Was this massive discount given because the Devs were feeling generous, or because there was no other way to implement the changes?

Many people did not get a massive discount and any future upgrading will be extremely expensive now because it includes stuff that people don't want buy. That upsets people - seems reasonable to me.

Those that suddenly found themselves with fully upgraded equipment, of course they are very happy about that, and they have said so.  But I have not seen them talking about the general benefits of the new micro-upgrading update.  If fact, some are even honest enough to say that although they have personally benefitted, they are against this update.

And then there are those that are not happy that their carefully worked out parameters have been changed with no warning or consultation - do you not think they have a valid point?

The 'Dislike' button was removed so that people would gives reasons why they didn't like something, rather than just down-voting.  Well, people are doing just that - they are giving their reasons.  If you can't handle that, then put the 'Dislike' button back and remove the ability to post comments.

1) I'm thankful and I say "thank you" the best posible for Tanki way, by buying cristals. But now I just feel cheated. No mater how much I buy it still won't be enough.

2) Didn't get any benefits from that update. I did get a few parameters upgraded but this are parameters that I don't care about and it's not for free, we will all have to pay for them, much, much more ... soon.

This is a very unfair and false upgrade. My friend had micro upgraded the shield of his viking till maximum, 25 upgrades, only that, nothing else. I thought it is so much better to micro upgrade all parameters so i did upgrade all parameters step by step togheter. I had upgraded 42 times, but the highest upgrade was 10 times.

Now my friend have a fully upgraded m4 viking for only micro upgrading 25 times. While i have only 30 steps of 50 now. And i upgraded 42 times.

VERY UNFAIR !!!!!

Yeah... keep crying and see if TO does anything.

I could understand if there was a bug with the update... but I dont' see anything wrong.

So yeah, back to my first sentence.

I always see you guys complaining in the lobby chats... if it's so upsetting... nvm.
