Tonight is my last time to play the game. After the server restarts, I will complete all 3 daily missions and play one more match and that is.

P.S. I won't go to Tank X in the future, I am sure same things will happen in the new game.

This new 'micro' upgrade is supposed to be a 'simplification'. Wut??! If the previous MU scheme is not simple enough, then I must be a genius to be able to work it out even when I was a noob. C'mon! You just removed a great tactical element in TO! TO is not just about shooting and dodging. It's also about managing your crystal economy by MUing smartly. This new MU is just dumbing down TO! Bring back the previous MU, please!

Let me put the cost of this into real terms. To fully MU a single M3 turret, hull or top 5 paint, will mean a player having to pay out the best part of    1 million crystals, and that is without speed ups. In terms of cash outlay at the current prices, this equates to approx.     $ 270 / £ 177 / eur 252. You can pick which ever currency you like , it's still a huge amount of money for something you will NEVER OWN.  And remember, that's only for 1 item !

 

Do they think we are crazy enough to pay that amount of REAL CASH , for DIGITAL CONTENT, that's controlled by  TANKI STAFF !  and may or may not be around in 6 months time ?

 

To compete with the amount of M4's out there now, this is exactly what you'll have to do unless you save for a couple of years. Standard M3's are Cannon Fodder and saving  the scraps you manage to accumulate from these battles will probably take longer than that !

 

Would any of you walk into the " The Bank of Tanki ", hand over that amount of money and say " would you mind  looking after this cash for me please ? As I trust you impeccably, and know you'll look after it as though it's your own "

If, by massive discount, you mean those that received the equivalent of the next mod because they happened to fully upgrade one parameter - well that was just lucky for them. Was this massive discount given because the Devs were feeling generous, or because there was no other way to implement the changes?

 

Many people did not get a massive discount and any future upgrading will be extremely expensive now because it includes stuff that people don't want buy. That upsets people - seems reasonable to me.

 

Those that suddenly found themselves with fully upgraded equipment, of course they are very happy about that, and they have said so. But I have not seen them talking about the general benefits of the new micro-upgrading update. If fact, some are even honest enough to say that although they have personally benefitted, they are against this update.

 

And then there are those that are not happy that their carefully worked out parameters have been changed with no warning or consultation - do you not think they have a valid point?

 

The 'Dislike' button was removed so that people would gives reasons why they didn't like something, rather than just down-voting. Well, people are doing just that - they are giving their reasons. If you can't handle that, then put the 'Dislike' button back and remove the ability to post comments.

Premium accounts.kits(sense pretty much only buyers can afford them). And now this the micro upgrading is now much more expensive its about 4× the price of the turret I mean I get it upgrades them to the next m1-2-3. But still why 50 steps? With this new MU system, even there is a 50% MU sale it won't help. Did you realise how long it takes to MU one step now? I am not talking the first few steps of a M0 item. Even a M1 turret takes many hours to MU one step now. How many steps can we go in 24hr (assuming the sale least for 1 day) ? If we don't use speed up, a MU sale won't help much. If we use it...oops...it just makes up the 50% discount, not mention if the sale is less than 50% off.

In my opinion.
This is the first terrible update that I have ever encountered in Tanki online, why?
First of all upgrading everything in one go?!
I've been trying to avoid upgrading Impact Force on my Hammer turret so that I wont flip upside down while I'm in mid air or edge using wasp. SECOND is the Turning Speed on my hull hornet, because I dont want to slide uncontrollably around the battle field like I'm in some skating rink. THRID what's the point on upgrading speed if you upgrade waight as well, if you upgrade both then you'll hardly see any difference of you tank's speed during the month. (I learned that through experience.)

All the seperate upgrade systems is what makes my tank unique from the other tanks.
for example: lets say I fully upgraded my shields on my hull, I may not get the most kills BUT since the other players didnt upgrade as I did, I get the lowest deaths than all of them during the game, which is pretty hardcore.
Even though everyone has the same turrets, hulls and ranks as me, how I separately upgraded the things on my tank and my skills on playing the game is what makes my tank unique from the other tanks in Tanki online. 

You're probably thinking, "But the new upgrade system is more cheaper which makes your tank more powerful faster!"

You're making all the begginners depend on how powerful their tank is!
The beginners will be like, "oh look how powerful my tank is, I'm such a pro!  pew pew pew!"

There was this time when I entered a DM battle and faced players that are more higher ranked and way more powerful in both their shields and damage. ( like they can kill me in just two shots and it takes me to shoot them 4 or 5 times to kill each one of them,)
But how they move and position their tanks is so noobish, I was able to destroy them easily and won first place in the game! ( it takes tactics and strategies to win)

If the begginers depend on power and GET that power faster, they wont gonna depend on practicing/planning on tactics and strategies just like the players I played against.
If this keeps up, Tanki Online will turn into an ordanary fps game like Call Of Duty.



Players that played tanki for so long and I have been working so hard on upgrading and practicing strategies/tactics for the past few years and now you're giving a more easy way for the beginners, just now?! seriously?!


Since you changed the system to upgrade everything in one go and in a cheaper way, 
All my TIME, all my STRUGGLES, all my CRYSTALS and ALL MY EFFORTS on trying to make my tank UNIQUE from the rest has gone to a waste just because you changed the upgrading system.
( I believe most players that played Tanki for so long can relate )



Well that's my opninion, but let me say that I love Tanki Online so much, it is seriously the only browser game I play!! :D 
I understand that you guys are doing your best and just trying to make a better future for Tanki Online ^_^
But this update just really irritates me and taking it too far.  :angry: 

Anyways thanks for the amazing game, hope for Tanki online to become more fascinating and reach out to the players seeking for a browser game! :)

Tanki does not want players to save crystals.

I received a couple M4s and I am upset, many players are upset to be given full M4s.

Before this update I was just entering a time in my career to compete with the best in the game, able to switch hulls, turrets, and paints with just enough Mu to be at par with my peers, now I am thrown back again to a level that I only have one option to enter battle with and compete.

I've worked for everything in my garage, I supplemented with crystal purchases as well and the reason I am upset is that I am a gamer, and a big part of the enjoyment and entertainment of gaming is acquiring game unlocks.

I am upset that they cannot see that a big part of gaming enjoyment comes from actually earning those items in battle.

Tanki has instead continually made that less and less possible.

Tanki seems to look at the small minority of players who spend outrageous hrs grinding, and players who use devious means to  acquiring upwards of 50x more funds from battle each week as the benchmark of what all players are capable of earning in battle.

It will take over a year for the average Gissmo to collect enough to even afford one M4

I made this little table to clear up my mind for a discussion with a friend.
Now I think it is usefull for all those, that are soo happy with this update:

 

In short words:

• You can barely make it if you purchase everything at 25% discount - or spend about 100 EUR.
• On the most right you see the prices you have to pay _additionally_ to upgrade and M3 to an M4.
  You may notice how expensive they are.
• since last week there are more M4 around then ever.. .so enjoy the challenge ;)

 

 

So either:

• you forget about your dreams of a nice garage with short + mid + longrange and 2 hulls;
• Or spend a lot of money
• Or reach Generalissimo Rank and use your poor M3s to compete with the new M4s that have popped out those days
• Or forget a Players-garage and get a Work-Garage (means only XP + MammyTwins and play Polygon CP 8h a day to make your earnings; as Gizmo you can earn about 2..2,5k crystals p hour).

The last point sounds like monotony and work? It is ! But hey.. wasn't this supposed to be a game and make fun?

 

ps: Example for MUs before this upgrade:

 

A competative M3+ Rail cost you additionally 134k crystals. This was economic thinking, strategic investment. And simply planing the weapon to your needs:

 

Rail M3, upgrade damage = +100k crystals:

from M3 [damage = 109..165]    ->   to    -> M3+  [damage = 128..190] for about 100k crystals (full price, no discounts).

Full M4 damage was 199.. but those last few damage points cost too much and made no sense.

 

Rail M3, upgrade penetration = +34k crystals:

from M3 [penetration rating = 76,2%]    ->   to    -> M3+  [penetration rating = 90%] for about 34k crystals (full price, no discounts).
Full M4 penetration was 100%.. but 90% did the job quite well.

Old mu system waiting time for Clay is 32, 040 + 21, 360 = 53, 400 min. (which is like taking half time than now)

Old mu system speed up cost for Clay is 446,814 crystal ( 267801+179013)

 

Yes, the new MU speed up cost is cheaper, but barely ( 16% cheaper)

however, the waiting time of mu is more than double. (2.1x wait)

if you unlucky with sales and duration of sales, M4 clay can go up to 250k*4.5 = 1,125,000 crystal, and M4 lamberjack can go up to 300k*4.5 = 1,350,000 crystal

What I find inexcusable is that tankers scream about Tanki not giving a big enough discount, but when they DO give a discount, a massive discount, nobody acknowledges it, nobody is thankful for it, they simply find something else to gripe about. They flood the topic with hate and congratulate each other for doing so. Yet they use the update's benefits, profit from them, and sit ready to pile on the next update.

Either you didn't read anything, or you don't understand!

 

If you serve someone a turd with sprinkles on top, it will still taste like... you know turd!

 

Btw, it's not like we have a choice not to use the upgrade's benefits. Now do we?!

I was saving my cystals for xmas sales and looking forward to purchasing Vulcan M3 ..... but now I really do not see the point ...... do I really want another M3 turret in my garage that is going to cost me a fortune to upgrade to M4 level. A basic M3 turret is now no good against the vast amount of M4 players out there. How the hell are new players expected to compete!! ,,,,,, A total bad update.

Exactly. I'm no newbie. I have been around for almost 3 years and I have taken advantage of every sale possible to get my garage where it is today as cost effectively as possible, ie, complete m4 with lots of the top paints, most fully upgraded. Even I struggle and rage quit every now and again. I have lots of supplies and I use them to get the team I'm on ahead. It's tough out there even for me and I can usually adapt!

 

Because I don't drink, don't smoke, don't gamble and I'm single, daughter now finished school and making her own way in life, with no mortgage or rent to pay, I can afford to waste part of my wages on this game (this is the only game I've ever spent money on in my life). I do realise how hard it is for non-buyers and I have tried to make suggestions in the forum to make it easier for those who are not as stupid as me.

 

But there are several planes of existence in tanki that everyone should be aware of. There is the regular one where lots of us don't cheat whatsoever and live out regular career, then there are those who drug more than half the time, then there are those who mindlessly drug all the time, then there are those m4 teams who play together, then there are those m4 teams that communicate, then there are those who do all that and use lag cheats so you can't stop them from waltzing in and taking the flag, and on top of all of that, they place mults on your side. They then laugh at you when you lose, which, let me tell you, isn't a happy feeling.

 

So if you play on your own and you're not lucky enough to have spare money you can flush down the drain on tanki then you're pretty much screwed at level 30.
