Changes to micro-upgrades

Is it cheaper to fully upgrade an item then get the next MU free, or just buy the MU item? Please answer, as this will affect some major buying choices I am about to make.

No definitive answer.

If you NEVER play in any maps with the item, then it is definitively true that it is cheaper to just buy the next upgrade without MU'ing the current one to get to that level.

But if you do play in any maps, it depends if you will make a large enough crystal rewards differential with the MU'ing compared to waiting (but still playing) and not MU'ing till you then fully upgrade it.

I don't like this update. Most of the time I would only upgrade the damage on my guns; to fully upgrade the damage I would have to micro upgrade the damage maybe 25 times. Now I have to micro upgrade the entire gun around 50 times just so I can fully upgrade the damage on the gun. Good update if you like everything on your gun/tank upgraded, but not if you just want to upgrade one thing and don't care about the other aspects of the gun/tank.

I hear you. I usually just upgrade the Damage and Reload Time (if applicable).

It is strange....how come there is no such achievement in our profiles likes "Buyer: Spent $100" ; "Good buyer: Spent $500" ; "Big spender: Spent $1000" ..... "Who Whats to be a Millionaire" ..... and the last one "The Six Million Dollar Man".

I think it was 15 or 20% protection against all turrets.

Do you keep a premium paint - and can it be upgraded ?

 

I am thinking about buyers with deep  pockets  and anyone who upgraded 1 parameter before this MU-to-the-max SNAFU ....

... do we now have premium users running around with like 30% protection against all turrets ?

 

friggin heck that would make it even more unbalanced.

Premium Paint

- is 15% against all turrets and mines.

- cannot be upgraded; it is permanently 15% protection as stated above

- stays in your garage for as long until your Premium account expires

We will go all the way back to the update that only gives you the option to only buy a Turret or Hull according to your rank. This update has limited everything considerably. I no longer have the choice of buying any M2 Turrets or Hulls as my options are all very expensive M3's. I myself would have liked to have bought a M2 Isida, Rail, Titan and micro upgraded as I go to build my garage up but because of the update it turned into M3 which once again is way to expensive to buy.

 

 

"Developers made it so that we won't be wasting as many crystals to get a full M3 garage. Let's drown them in our hate!"

 

 

 

Here is what Semyon Kirov said, on page 2 (top of the page.) In the comments:  We had to make a choice between simplicity + better price OR ability to choose lower grades. We picked the first one, as it clearly gives you more advantages.

I agree. But I then think beginner ranks should have less and easier choice`s. (Easier to learn) and

the higher ranks that have mastered the basics. May have advanced settings. Just an idea.

 

And if AlternativePlatform have problem to get money from higher ranks due to choices in upgrading system.

Then they could find a way to earn money or increase cost of advanced upgrades.

I haven`t used my higher level account for awhile. Guess what I noticed? The hacking and sabotaging are even worse and more frequent at the higher levels!!! (against my team and later for my team, players quitting the other team then joining my team, including the mults/saboteurs) ...guess I will not invest any more money into the game with such rampant cheating...

I am glad I haven`t seen any cheaters or hackers. I am to low rank to that i guess. Also sad to see the old players being disappointed of the new update, understand that. I am trying to under stand this problem by reading comments. Many good comments and interesting experiences. It is probably because of money and some other reasons AlternativePlatform don`t tell us. Looks like many comments is about to figure out what happened. (We need more info Alternative Platform)!

 

Semion Kirov say in the vlog 68: They have changed the Micro Upgrade so they are not uneven. So there is better balance.

 

Why did they gave away free upgrades? What about the M4 wall of (unbalance) as mentioned. Problem for lower ranks, to. He said it was very complicated, but the essence/result is that they gave away lots of free upgrades. Maybe they didn`t have any choice? Or maybe Suhas_Best is right:

 

Suhas_Best: FREAKING ANYONE give a 100% upgraded stuff to a guy who has just upgraded his stuff by 20.66%?

 

Ideally on the other hand, this guy has upgraded his stuff by 20.66% so that means that the tanker should get the new parameters such that it represents 20.66% of 50.

50 * 20.66% = 10.33 parameters.

I think if Semion Kirov read all this comments, or at least the last 10. He would understand more of the side effects in this update. But since he don`t have time to understand all this maybe some one could tell him. I asume he have more important things to do. And that he think the update is ok.

I might get the Achievement "most crystals bought in 1 day" before the last big sale on upgrades happened.

With the doubled value package (700K~ 100 USD) and the Paypal discount (50% to 75%), I got them cheaper than Chilean pesos.

I actually spent 2.3 million crystals in 3 days. That's what it costs to get three top hulls, three top turrets, and three top paints.

I hate this update.  Now I have to spend a lot more crystals for parameters I don't want.  Do you expect me to spend real money on these upgrades?  Notta chance.

 

Besides, with TankiX coming out, why would I want to spend any more money on Tanki as I'm probably going to shift to the new format... if I stay with any version of Tanki at all because of poor updates like these?

...I finally noticed multiple tankers using a hack to get instant drugs (they did not pick any up).
They would use all 3 or 4 simultatneously. That is impossible unless using a hack.

Well, about the Micro Upgrades. To be honest. I did not like the last system either. You couldn`t MU single parameter past the current Modification. You had to complete the current Modification to Micro Upgrade further the preferred parameter.
