Changes to micro-upgrades

I buy sporadically because I am not wealthy.

Only humility/repentance on the part of owners/management can save TO now

GOD save mults. MULT power is more powerwull than any M4. On arena 1-2 mults do more advantages than buying a milion (1 000 000) or 10 milions hahahah of crystals. But nobody take care about mults enough to give some tool against it. Probably tanki got MULT in menagment too. And this mult, block anty mult equipment.

Good point. Polutions, mults, global war, suffering, cancer, daying children, all this is not metter, the most important is to feed own ego and feel comfortable. I agree with you, that the most important is understund, what is important to us the most, and do it as you will have a chance to die another die. Good point man.

What a waist of developers' time and skill !!

And in the same time, users like tomek838 do not have theirs all bonuse of buying crystal, what a shame and anoter waist time and dome work. Even buyers are robed...

 

HOLD ON man tomek838 meaby you will get your crystal back too.

We'll have to see how this plays out in the long run, but I suspect that Premium users will become considerably more powerful- 200% crystals means that they can sink more money into micro-upgrades, and a large number of them buy crystals anyway, so they can afford top notch equipment.

Actually, the bonus for Premium users is only 100% of crystals earned (basically, if they win 100 crystals from fund, they get 100 bonus crystals).

It is indeed an advantage in collecting crystals, but it has a cost - Premium accounts cost moneys.

 

Most of you do not want to see both sides of the medal, you only see advantages and criticize them, but you need to see disadvantages aswell, since they are to be considered aswell due to the fact that they exist and balance advantages out.

 

 

Also, another fact that most users get wrong is this one:

If I upgrade Weight parameter for hulls, my tanks will go slower

NO. Hulls' Weight parameter define the following:

Weight — affects tank's stability, i.e. impact force of hits, recoil of its own turret, and partly, ability to move other tanks (this parameter does not affect tank's speed).

This change is definitely not affordable since it upgrades all attributes. Earlier I had the option of choosing the MU and cost depends on the number of crystals I have. But now I have to spend crystals even if I don't want the MU attribute. I don't welcome this move.

Now MU cost expensive.

 

Now  M2 thunder MU upgrade  18/50 cost 4870.

Simple calculation 4870*50 totaly 243500. But M3 thunder turret cost 186 200. Minimum 60 000 overcost.

 

I waiting for buy next level, without MU.

Hulls' Weight parameter define the following..

Weight together with power also effects acceleration and braking force (as I once found out in the russian wiki).

If you upgrade your weight you would have to upgrade power as well. But the power-to-weight ratio is not the same through out the upgrade path :/

Even if you keep your power-to-weight ratio the tank feels a little more sluggish during brake manovers.

 

Besides weight changes the way your hull moves over ramp-ends (how far do I fly, how high do I take off, which angle I can cross edges without getting stuck because my tanks interia prevents it from beeing effected).

And it also effects how high/steep upwards I can shot if I rock my tank (Wasp) back and fwd while shooting - because with much weight the nose won't raise up as high as it used to do.

Whoever had one parameter upgraded to the max just before this update came up got lucky. Most users upgrade only specific parameters (basically damage, special damage, reload, and protection) and don't care for the rest. They can live with slightly upgraded less-than-perfect equipment but it was modified by the users own specifications to compliment their style and skill. They don't need to max out a weapon to next level specs to be effective. With only a slight adjustment and patient practice, they are able to hold their own.

 

This is the beginning of the end for micro-upgrading unless they bring back the option for separate parameters. 

I don't see many (if any) micro-upgrading in a bundle starting from 0.

 

That's what happens near the top ranks.

I am currently a Commander, I had my M3 hornet's protection fully MUed, so it was a pleasant surprise to feel it running on fully MUed speed and acting on all aspects as M4.

 

BUT.

 

Having to face mostly Gssimos in battle, I soon found out that my new sensation of power means nothing. Because, most of them had fully MUed one aspect of their tanks or the other, so practically I found my self versus a wall of fully M4 tanks.

 

:huh: :wacko:  :blink: 

 

So, this update - apart from long term and collateral implications - is giving a full M4 garage to most Gssimos. That means, marshals and commanders (that play a lot against Gssimos) will have a hell of a beating. Lame.

Yes, that works both sides :D  They don't want (in fact they are not allowed) to confess how free players are used as dummies for providing the sadistically satisfactory gaming environment for the paying customers.

Silly little children that are being exploited (free players, that is) without even knowing it.

Because you have to pay both.

 

1. You have to pay the step costs and wait for some (long) time.

2. If you want to skip the time, you may pay the instant upgrade costs additionally.

 

And yes, they said they make instant upgrades cheaper.

Although I've read here that the upgrade path in minutes takes now twice as long for some stuff..

For Wasp users especially - we need to be able to lower the weight whenever we choose.

As Rohrmaster pointed out: too much weight prevents some jumping and shooting options.

 

A keyboard option to raise and lower the weight withing your limits in the game would be even better.

 

This will also help with Parkour.

I also need to disable or reduce the turning speed.

Not only for wasp, but also for rail.

 

As a 95% wasp-Rail user I have the following choices at the moment:

  • continue to play XP/BP + normal battles, but play bad as the handling and aim is different all the time I change the gamemode
  • Focus on either XP/BP -exclusively or- normal battles, and miss half the fun I had
  • quit the game completey as half the fun is simply not worth it

Taking into account how this game accelerates it's own downturn, quitting the game seems the most logical choice.

For all of you guys who got m4 tanks with this update (including me) - ask yourslef: how much crystals do I need now to fully upgrade the most important parameters on my turret/hull (damage/protection). Not much: only 1.000.000 for rico, for example. And why do I need projectile speed or impact force? I don't know. Just to fully upgrade it. Why do I need hull weight or turning speed? I don't know it either.

With this update i need to spend 2-3 million crystals just to upgrade parameters that matters to me.

Ok, so maybe I do care. Probably the most critical part of my strategy was how I micro-upgraded my tank to suit my playing style, but now it's gone and became generic. A large portion of this games appeal to me is also gone…… and it doesn't seem I'm the only one who feels this way.

From all points of view this is a very bad update except for the players who found themselves with birthday presents in their garages.

As has been said above by many, it's a horrendous way to do business and treat players, (and yes I've heard all the arguments about how the devs need to live. Theres earning and then there's greed. welcome to greed 101) Personally one of the few "feel good" moments that I've had here has been when I was trying to figure out what quaity I would MU next on my tank. It made me feel that I was developing my strategy and kept me excited for the future of my own gameplay. That is gone now. There is no way I can afford to MU anything in this game. I was already not playing this acct anymore due to the drug issue but, now, even my new acct is too expensive to do anything with. Nice job Tanki.

I'm gonna hang around and read the forum and see where this goes, but the developers of this game have actually pushed me away. From what I hear above, I'm not alone. Congrats Tanki, on an absolutely total screwup on your part. By the way, am I wrong or has there been no word yet if accounts will be transferred to the next installment of this living hell. My feeling is no. That being said, if that ends up being true, then why are you supporters of this all so happy?

Well said, this is pretty much how I feel. For some time now I've logged on to play the daily missions and maybe stayed for an extra battle or two, but no more than that. 

 

With so many M4's out there now, I see no point in continuing to play. Without a garage of M4 equipment it will be so much harder to be competitive, and with the micro upgrades being so expensive, that's just not going to happen.

 

Add to this the players who have benefited from this in a big way, will now be able to spend more crystals on supplies as they no longer need to save it for MU's, so the drugging problem will most likely escalate also. Not only for this reason, but (as I mentioned earlier in another post) the supplies are the only edge a lot of players will have against other tanks now. Before anyone mentions a pro pass, I already have one, but even half of those games have supplies activated.

 

I believe this steamy two tone version of Tanki will slowly slide down the log flume when Tanki-X is released, and with very little chance of moving our equipment over to the new version, there is no way in hell I'm going to start over again from scratch. I hate to think what devious plans they will throw at us when that kicks off. I'm getting out while the going is good.

 

Like you said in your post, I will also log in now and again to see how this progresses, but it's time to move back over to            "The Hunter", and probably also give "War Thunder" a try.
