Question regarding MU

Is it better to MU(for eg:50/50) a gun until I get the next M for free or save the crystals and buy it for full price?

I wanted to know whether the total cost is same or not for both ways.

For your rank, I would strongly recommend to save your crystals until your can upgrade it to the next 'M'

Micro upgrading anything will always cost you more than the real cost of the item :)

The total amount of crystals that you spend to buy a stock M (as compared to the total amount of crystals that are being used up to get it to the next M) are lesser...so its cheaper to buy the next M..

 

But yes, having MUed the particular equipment makes it more stronger at your current (initial) ranks when purchased the equipment..

Micro-upgrading something fully (up to 50/50) is a LOT more expensive than the base item. You can upgrade the first 5-10 steps if you want a small improvement for little cost, but I strongly recommend that you do not waste too many crystals on MUs until you get at least M2.
