But it is not the fairest thing to do... all it does is gives an opportunity to those that did not have a chance of winning... plus there will most likely be totally different participants as it will be at a different time when date when differnt people are free.

Ok, thanks for replying about the fact that there are people using Word Search Solver and this makes it unfair for us, who spend their time to solve this thing without cheating.

Be happy there's a contest at all, I made this an hour before we published because we didn't have many contests. I could just cancel the whole thing, or I can start again, which means it will start after the in-game notif, which I was considering before anyway.

the fairest thing is to actually look at who submitted 1st... everyone had the same disadvantage as the words were misspelt for everyone, so it is not unfair...

and its okay if you made a mistake, but its not okay to simply ignore all the hard work of the top 3 simply because it is "unfair" when infact everyone had the same circumstances, and im sure everyone wasted some time looking for the incorrect words..

Maybe you can add a textured background to the word search instead of plain white so that OCR's can't read it and cheating won't occur?

Hey Tankers, welcome to the wordsearch.

 

You need to download the picture, and highlight the words in an image editing program, then upload the completed wordsearch and send it via PM to @ReporterContests. The first three correct entries will receive 20000 crystals.

 

in your requirements you stated that the entries need to be "correct" not complete, and therefore the 1st to submit with all the "correct" words should win as that is clearly stated with the rules

To be correct, you had to find all 15 words, which is impossible due to misspelling.

Please can you show where it states that all 15 words should be found? and even if the contest gets redone i still feel that the participants that took the time to get the crossword done should get some sort of consolation prize...

There was never even a 'correct' wordsearch. Maybe just award 1k to everyone who submitted the 'most correct' ones, and redo or cancel this contest

What are you talking about? You are the first who made the mistake with a wrong picture and since them problems are starting. You should have first to check the picture.

 

Be fair and admit a mistake and then decide what next. Like I said, because of all the complaints and errors I think you need to come up with new, different game.

Arrrgggghhhhhh. I had to go out as soon as I posted it and have only just got back. The words were spelt correctly when I put them in, letters must have got changed when I added all the random letters. If you found where the misspelt words were, I will accept that. Using software etc is obvs banned and you'll be disqualified. Next time I'll have people submit via a google form, which will stop any editing of PMs. Hopefully next time it won't all be last minute too.

 

And yes, noob was added deliberately xD

I know you're "after him" because you were about to win or something but its okay. Blunders happen and before entering any contest you should know that this stuff can take up your time and if you lose/something else happens then you should know that it was your choice to even enter the contest. :)

Its a good thing we got an extra contest this time. Feel happy about that. ;)
