Devs do actually listen to our ideas

Recommended Posts

"Tanki is using me, therefore I shall continue to play it and not do the intelligent thing, which is leave."

Wonderful logic. I shall remember to dump kerosene on my tail if it ever catches fire. You know, wallowing in the problem rather than stopping it.

Please tell me the magical stories of how a pony lived like a human - got a laptop, Internet, created a Tanki account and became an official Tanki reporter.

How do you do it, sir?

I'm now very intrigued to know ._.

Well done! I cannot agree with you more Golden!

Thanks bro :)

They do listen to are ideas I agree.

I posted a idea on moving camera with mouse and it was a update that happened after 2 months.

Yep.

And I also recall Yisroel suggesting that there could be an option to hide/delete our post.

And voila! Today we have a hide button!

So did the devs listen to Yisroel? The answer - Yes!

Another classic example of the devs listenting to players.

Do devs listen to our ideas ? They used to do it in the past, but sadly enough, not now. First of all, the Premium accounts feature. Now who was it that came waltzing around in a closed topic suggesting something for buyers only, reopened and closed it, saying that something like this will never happen ? That's right, tankerinos, it was ! Now who declared it an experiment that Premium players will be getting a 100% crystal bonus instead of the former 50% ? The devs. Who released a stupid, new, Micro-upgrade system, which restricted us from customizing our own equipment. It was the devs again ! Tanki has gone bloodmoneythirsty recently and has been releasing updates in the favor of buyers. Are you not seeing the point I'm trying to make ?

You have a point. But maybe that's because they're wrapped up in Unity, they just simply don't have the time. Hopefully when Unity is released, they'll begin to do it again. But who knows? Anything can happen.

For Pete's sake, man, doesn't this tell you something? They ARE everywhere! The majority of tankers use the SUPPLIES, and so if Tanki removes or severely limits them, they will be doing something that hurts the vast majority of their players!

That's why Tanki doesn't do anything about the supply-using "problem", because only a fraction of Tankidom doesn't use them. They are exercising the customer care and concern that you accuse them of ignoring!

First off, I'd like to make a clear distinction between drugs and supplies. Supplies are boxes picked up in combat and used on-the-spot, and I'm okay with that... hell, I'd be a dirty hypocrite if I said I wasn't. Drugs are boxes that are achieved via other means -- grinding through daily chores, winning them via exclusive contests, or dropping a few bucks.

Secondly, I accused nobody, and I resent that statement.

Druggers, or more specifically, mega-druggers/multi-druggers, are tankers who use so many drugs they'd make Lance Armstrong blush. Most people relate druggers with noobs, since let's be honest, if you use a health kit, you're basically cheating a death that you clearly deserved. Using double armor or double damage to get cheap kills is also a cheap (and several tankers would agree unethical) tactic as well. As a free-to-play tanker, I find myself (and several other free-to-players like me) being dominated by mega-druggers, since I can't afford to waste crystals on drugs. I do get some during daily missions, but let's be honest, we both know those are insignificant in the long run.

And before you say "Hurr durr durr, why wont u just counter-drug, buy a PRO pass, or spend moar money on de gaem?" let me remind you that counter-drugging would prove the point moot, as it'd be just as bad as normal drugging. Buying a PRO pass IS a viable means to get away from druggers, but since so few PRO battles restrict drugs, it's unlikely that you're gonna find a battle that's any better. Besides, I should not have to pay 5000 crystals to get a fair fight. That's just dumb. In addition, most players are unwilling/unable to spend money on the game, and several of those who are able or willing find it unethical. This game should not be pay-to-win, it should be won by those with more teamwork and the better strategy.

Go ahead and reply. Or don't. I don't really expect you to listen to me anyway. After all, I'm just a free-to-player, right? Free-to-players don't matter, right? Only the buyers matter, right? It's all about the money, right?

Don't answer that quickly.

Devs do listen to us. Ofc they do.

That's because they do, and I even made three prime examples (in this very thread) of them doing that...

Don't answer that quickly.

Yeah you're right, when one starts to constantly use their supplies, the outcome of a battle can drastically change faster than you can say "baked beans." You could be winning a CTF game 4-0 one minute, and the next minute it's 10-4 - all because people have started to use their supplies. And yes, people abusing their power of supplies also does show the non-skilled side of a tanker, I agree with that, but if you had 1000's of supplies in handy, well.... wouldn't you use them and make good use of them?

And there's two simple solutions actually if you don't want to get dominated by multi druggers.

1. - This is what everyone says. "buy a pro battle pass and join non drug battles"

2. - If you don't want to waste 5,000 crystals for a pro battle pass because you think it's unfair that you have to waste 5,000 of your precious crystals just to play a fair battle, well... the only solution for this that I can give you is don't play any battles at all - stay out of battles, and just talk to your friends in the lobby and the forum. I'm not telling you to do that, I'm just giving you simple solutions - so please spare me the "don't tell me what to do" mumbo jumbo thank you very much.

Drugs will not be nerfed anymore. Besides, don't you think they got nerved enough last year with smart cool downs?

And even Hazel-Rah himself stated a few months ago in BruBook's topic (somewhere in one of those 100+ pages) that drugs will not be changed anymore. So all this complaining that you're doing about supplies right now is well... practically pointless and a waste of time.

Supplies have been apart of Tanki since day one, and they're here to stay - unchanged.

If you don't like the multi druggers in this game anymore, and you find that they're annoying you too much, well you my friend need to hunt for a new game to play.

"Supplies won't be nerfed more."

That's because I haven't told them how to do it yet.

Ah, the infamous supply debate...

*rubs hooves together*

Only a little more waiting, and all shall be made clear....

Ikr.

I talk about "smart cool downs" as a prime example, and all of a sudden it turns into another supply argument/debate

It's not like there's plenty of other topics to discuss that kind of stuff... Brubook's topic being a prime example.

It took you almost 2 weeks just to reply that???

A hahaha, I thought that was pretty fast compared to the 58 weeks it generally takes Tanki to respond to anything :p
