Bubbles for all Staff Members

Recommended Posts

I love the way you called it a bubble :D

In my opinion, it's more like a icon :P

To be honest, this'll be a good idea to have in the game, it will be almost impossible for someone to trick someone in to thinking he / She is a helper of the game.

Candidates should also get one, so that we are able to tell who is being tested.

Great idea overall :o

ok you all ready have this ..helpers in training get a brown or bronze color and all the regular helpers have silver and admins gold ..

i have been told and same as many other high rank`s ..by admins and tanki to help lower players with anything we can ...all you`r saying is you want players to see u as higher management over players and  for u to stand out over  players and for them  to go to u and not get help from gizmo who know the game as much as u .

I just want to reply to couple of your points:

  • Being a Generalissimo doesn't necessarily mean you have a huge knowledge base, it just means you played long enough to reach that rank.
  • He didn't mean he wants to stand out, he's just saying that knowing who is a helper and who is not can make a lot of difference. People can easily pretend to be helper and deliver false information to players or present a bad idea of staff. Just a couple examples of what can be done if you don't know who is staff and who is not.

I am not saying that all players are deceiving and scammers, I am saying there is always the possibility of a player being a scammer.

Says the one with chat mod avatar and a blue name on the FORUM.

I agree with this idea, seems like a change for the better and fairness for all staff members :)

Fairness you said. All staff members have his own "special paints" its really enough. Even chat mod, forum mod facebook mod and all other helper for the best helper of the month can get Helper paint which has 18% protection for all turrets + mines. Still not enough? Btw Idk how is it with other helpers but I think we are here to help not to get a special prizes adds etc. Chat mods also have his colour on forum becouse players must also know who they can contact when they need to ask about something concerning chat. In my opinion its pretty clear. As I said above it can be showed in profile of the helper which kind of helper he/she is. But giving this cloud before every single helper nickname on chat... No point to do that.

Great idea, players sometimes don't trust if for example that tanker is a Forum moderator.

With this bubble icons it will be easy and tankers will already know that the tanker is a Forum moderator.

most mods don`t know where to look for help or even explain things so really your argument is the same when you break it down ..

mods and players are the same ..for the information most or close to most players have full knowledge of where to look for advise or even know who to ask for it..i have seen mods not be able to explain  thing s to players and i have gone and helped them ..so it works both ways

players all ready know who mods are so why make it any more confusing to players..its bad enough looking at a light green screen of words that stand out and blinds your eyes by the end of the day..that needs to be looked into before we add another logo to helpers/ mods  which in my opinion we do not need...

I do not agree with this idea.

I think that with this idea new players would be even more confused. Even more they would be asking "Are you a mod?". Bubbles are too small to see who is a member of which team. That one letter inside of a bubble is poorly visible.

Also, more staff members have multiple positions, which would mean or to choose the bubble of their choice or to have more of them.

The pictures you saw were just a example, Tanki development has much better ideas and Photoshop skills than me, they'll surely find something great! ;)

I'm a Help Site Consultant, Chat Mod and eSports Helper. If the purpose of this idea is to let players know what jobs we have, then I must have three bubbles next to my nickname. To be honest, I wouldn't like that. Me having just one bubble would mean the system does not show the full (more precise) information about me as a staff member. And having three bubbles, as I mentioned, is too much.

Sorry, but I do agree with this. Also don't forget about alternative accounts. They have to get bubbles too so NO ONE EVER can claim to be a staff member (or a staff member's alternative account)... Imagine what the chat would look like!

Let's take Facebook mods for example. Their job has nothing to do with in-game Chat. If players want to ask a question to FB mods, they can ask on the Facebook page or via Forum PM. If players want to ask a question to a Helpsite Consultant, they can ask it on the Help Site.

I see no problem with the current system...

Its the same on the forum, we only see one of your icons so I see no problem with it being the same ingame

mods in the forum have colored names so why change this when it will be more work on tanki and also players having to deal with more colors in open chat and its bad enough like i said about that ugly greenish yellow when players are talking too u and it gets over loaded when lots of players are chatting at once.. its a sea of gross stuff all over the chat...

even giving more bubbles

it really makes no difference to who you are

when mods in forum can`t banned players in open  chat only mod chats can...

you can report just like we as players can report ..

Just to add mate. hope you wont mind

Congratulatory post

To make it clear, ForumSportNewsModerators is what the group is called. Not all people in this group are staff members or so-called "mods".

To all these people saying this will make it more confusing, it will not make it more confusing than to someone starting the game, it may take awhile to get to know every icon symbol but there have been many updates which Tanki have introduced and players have complained are complicated but it is fine now.

Also there seems to be people saying how it wont help lesser players by seeing that someone is a mod and asking them than asking a player. The thing is that a helper will give his best opinion whereas a player could say anything they wanted, a helper could lose his job if seen to be trolling a newbie and giving false information where a player just wouldn't be bothered with.

I personally think this is a good idea and with anyone that has brain power, it wont be too hard to learn the new symbols like you have learned the game.

I don't like the chat mod icon by my name in chat. I've said many times I'd like to be able to turn it on and off as needed.  As far as other staff having an icon?  I don't think it would be a big deal one way or the other.  It draws attention, both positive and negative, from players.

An option to turn it on and off would be good :)

maybe so giving wrong answers as a player... but really what benefits would players get if giving wrong answers when it`s there reputation on the line.. for mods and admins not giving proper info ..well i just had a mod and admin the other day refuse to give me info that i had to post it and then another mod kindly gave me my answer and did it private..this is not my first time having to deal with mods i `ve had mods not even see my postings in the chat and ignored me and same as others..and when i say ignore me is just that they ended up chatting to there friends and never said anything to me  ..they  have been reported time and time again ... the admins blame it all on the color of the screens and i`am not the only one out there who has been having issues with this...

I certainly agree with this idea, but according to the posts on this topic, many people are thinking about confusion. Well it wouldn't take a long time for a guy with brain power to understand the icon system. This would benefit players in the following ways: If a player wanted to ask a moderator about something regarding his job, like if someone wanted to ask a facebook mod about something in facebook or events or such. He would know that he is a facebook mod and just ask him, it's easier for those who can't have access to facebook to just go and ask the player in-game.

Also, chat moderators get spammed with nonsense on the chat when they try to talk, implementing this idea will help chat mods gets spammed. A helper can help everywhere, not just on the forum/facebook. And last but not least I don't see the point of having an option to turn off and on the icon.
