Add manual zooming to Shaft

 Share

Recommended Posts

There is a slight problem with the "Shaft" turret. The "Shaft" turret, at the moment, does not have a manual zooming feature like a sniper rifle. When you use a sniper rifle (like in the Grand Theft Auto series), players can manually control the amount of zoom in and out for correct viewing and shooting accuracy.

The same thing goes for "Shaft" in Tanki Online. Shaft needs to have a manual controllable zoom feature and also more and better accuracy. When players fire shells with "Shaft", they do not have the ability to destroy a tank with only one hit. Shaft takes a long time to reload, so it should be more accurate, and have the ability to destroy one tank per shot.

I have played with "Shaft" before. At the moment, it is a terrible weapon to handle.

Please ask the creators and administrators of Tanki Online to improve the "Shaft" turret. I am not asking for a second version of "Shaft", but, just to get it improved. Thank you.

Valid

Tanki Online developers don't want to add any extra controls to the turrets to avoid making certain turrets more complicated to use than others. Although I must say that having a manual zoom control would be very useful. No increased damage though.

I think this would only be possible as an alteration, since Shaft's "tunnel vision" is an intentional disadvantage of the turret's scope mode. So if there was an ability to control zoom, it would make another aspect of Shaft slightly worse, such as slower turret rotation.

Have u tried holding the space bar?? Cause that's how you zoom in with shaft you hold the space bar it zooms in and the farther u zoom in the more powerful shaft gets but u can't control how far it zooms it takes about 3 seconds to fully zoom and also be warned shaft also has a laser when zoomed in its a great and powerful turret once you get to know how to handle it properly

Yes. I have use the Space Bar for the "Shaft" turret. I know how to use "Shaft" just as well as I would use a "Sniper Rifle". I am aware that the "Shaft" turret needs to be improved. Shaft needs to be more accurate and should be more powerful, so that it can destroy a tank with only one shot. For example, in the "Grand Theft Auto" series, when use shoot an enemy with a "Sniper Rifle", the person on foot gets killed with only one shot. The same thing needs to be applied for Shaft. Shaft needs to have a manual zoom as well, so that players can both manually zoom in and out, before taking the shot. This improvement shall make "Shaft" feel to Tanki Online players behave and fell more like a "Sniper Rifle".

Ive seen some of your other forum posts. You want all turrets to do extreme damage. If they made shaft one shot everything then what is the point of buying m1? Tanki online is not grand theft auto, there is a difference between human flesh and heavy tank armor.

I understand the fact that everything in Tanki Online has to be balanced, but I believe that Shaft needs to be improved somehow. I am not asking for every turret in Tanki Online to do extreme damage, but for only some to be a bit more powerful than others. For example, Shaft and Railgun, needs to be a bit more powerful.

I understand the difference between human flesh and heavy tank armor. Previously, I talked about "Grand Theft Auto". This was only an example. I am not crazy, so please feel sorry and try to understand what I am talking about. Thank you.

Shaft is extremely accurate what are u talking about??!?

Also a fully charged shaft is the most powerful turret in the game and can easily 1 shot any Hull hunter or above of the same m0-1-2-3

And fully charged with DD can even 1 shot a mammoth of the same m0-1-2-3

Exactly, what is the point of double power with shaft if it one shots everything? This is the same person that suggested a rocket gun that could one shot a m4 mammoth every 5 seconds.

1. This is NOT Grand Theft Auto.

2. This is not a realistic game.

3. This is a fast paced action game, not a camping game. Most maps are too small for a zoom-in feature on Shaft anyway.

This is the same to the "Railgun" topic of yours, please stop.

Just no. Ok? No.

Shaft is damn OP already! Zooming? ok then lowering power of projectile!

1 tank per shot?

Im going with arcade mode to enemy base!

(Im already doing that in arcade mode... but still)

At the moment, it is a terrible weapon to handle for you because you have an M0 Shaft. -_-

And if you want to one shot every tank you see, maybe buy a bunch of double damage supplies and M3 Shaft???? -_-

The Shaft turret, anyway needs a much larger map than Dusseldorf. Having a larger map than Dusseldorf would be a great advantage because Shaft players would be better protected from enemies trying to fire at them. Along that, a night mode has to be implemented to this new map. The night sky has to be darker as well to further protect Shaft players again enemies. Tall cliffs with slopes and tall camouflaging trees would also do the trick.

Please agree on a map larger than Dusseldorf, supporting up to 100 players maximum, instead of 40 players maximum in Dusseldorf.

This much larger map would be very ideal too for Assault Mode battles as well as regular battles.

I would rather suggest the devs to fix the shaft bug 1st. It's highly irritating to spawn and find ur turret spinning for no reason and while zooming in, the aim randomly goes up

That idea of yours is again impractical and totally unfeasible though I understand that shaft is definitely somewhat underpowered (due the shaft bugs that shaft users have to face). I agree that being able to zoom in a little more with shaft would be nice

Ok, i get that shaft doesn't seem like it belongs here. Maps like lost teample or kolhoz could be more common, but they are not, that is the will of the players. It has alot to do with the lags on large maps, many don't have the computer to have fun on berlin, and even if more did, the laggers would still ruin it.

What comes to the scope thingy... i mean it's not really "needed", but i guess it could be interesting, expesially with mouse contols.

However, the shaft gameplay has been messed around too much anyways; the laser, the new more accurate mouse controls, rebalances on damage and impact force. I've already put too much time in learning the previous gameplays of shaft, just to toss a duck with them.

But maybe they could try implimenting this on a way that doesn't completely put the old gameplay out of its misery.... i dunno, the concept of shaft is something im ok with as it is.

I would rather suggest the devs to fix the shaft bug 1st. It's highly irritating to spawn and find ur turret spinning for no reason and while zooming in, the aim randomly goes up

And this... shaft bug is the most annoying thing, i can't undestand how it still exists... i mean, can it be that hard to fix, or is there even any effort to fix it?

Please notify the Tanki Online developers and ask them to fix this bug in the spinning Shaft when players re-spawn. There is another bug problem too. When zooming in, the aim randomly zooms up.

Like I said before, Shaft needs to have keyboard controls to manually zoom in and zoom out using the scope.

So basically your asking for a battle with major lag
