Add manual zooming to Shaft

You guys totally started to talk about some third stuff...but let's get back to the point!So,the idea is great(my opinion),and i think you should be able to zoom in-out with the mouse scroller or some keyboard buttons,like "x" and "c",which are already under your fingertips!What do you think,guys?

tbh i always thought the automatic zooming was simply a way to make the usage of shaft more difficult and require more skill, since the more u zoom the slower u can turn and aim

basically without the auto zoom shaft would be wayyyyy too easy to use

Hello tankers, well the shaft is useful turret to protect the team and defend, but the much important things as sniper, you should protect yourself from being targeted before defending the team, so the idea to make the shaft a fair for all,

my suggestion is to add option to zoom in/out the shaft view after the full zoom, I mean with "full zoom" is when you reach the full shaft zoom, then you will be able to zoom in or zoom out, and look around!

 

If you have any better ideas about the shaft zoom I'll be glad to hear from you ^^

It will actually confuse players, you think only about yourself and not other players. It will probably make shaft too OP anyways and as a result manual zooming whatever your idea is will be a disadvantage in the game.

The turret works fine, the option to zoom manually would remove it's key strength: Charging while scoped.

If they remove that, an already unpopular turret will become a nonexistent one.

Shaft does not need more control. The manual zoom must include the up and down arrow keys on the keyboard. When pressing the up arrow key, Shaft zooms in, and when pressing the down arrow key, Shaft zooms out.

 

There is no wrong doing on having a manual zooming feature included in Shaft. What the manual zooming feature does to Shaft is that I makes it easier for players to properly set their Shaft turret at an aiming distance that is suitable for them to take the shot without missing its target.

 

This manual zooming feature would make Shaft easier to aim at enemy targets. The damage parameter would still remain as it it now. No change.

 

I do also agree with Maf that having an M3 alteration for manual zooming can also be a good idea for such a zooming feature.

I did use Shaft quite a few times, but aiming is hard because there is no manual zooming feature. Shaft must have a zooming feature, whether you agree with me or not.

Pretty simple: when in sniping mode, you can move with arrow keys like normal, but z and x zoom in/out.

I use Shaft on my alt account. In the present magnification I can see the barrel of a Magnum sticking up over a wall, put my crosshairs on it and...BOOM!!! Instant kill point. Why do I need more? If certain areas of tanks gave more kill points than other areas, then I could see a need for more zoom. 

 

Snipers (real life) have to have the ability to do one shot kills to the head or heart of people (not tanks) so they have to have a zoom to hit such a small area from a long distance. Tanks aren't sniped, they are ambushed. (Except in TO). 

 

If you can't see a tank through the present magnification, then may I suggest you get your eyes examined?

Are you challenging me to get first place with a short range weapon on a large, open map? :D

Isida is also a short range gun but it gains xp by healing campers and killing attacking noobs. And if you use Firebird or Freeze, no drugs, please.

Tanks in real world snipe each other from 1 kilometre and more.

 

Killing this noob Hornet/Wasp Magnums by barrel shot is really funny. They do not even know what happened.
