Wait a minute. Who's the oldest here? Besides me.

Lol... I probably should've posted my application here instead of sending it to KG in a PM...

But I'm 22.

And everyone with these chores... lol. Reminds me, I have to do Dishes tonight, and put the trash/recycle on the curb. Not to mention clean the bathrooms... Still upholding the chores Mom! If only she was still here.

im 13 but if you dont like being the oldest i can pretend to be 30.... lmao

also i was born on august the 9th so when i WAS at school i was the youngest... that was horrible..

BUCKEYES SUCK SPARTANS RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lol difference is we where underrated. you where over rated. you beat us by one field goal ad time expired on our worst game of the year. the two teams who made it to the big ten championship would be dominated by OSU on any good day.

yep. Global warming is very real.

most people think you can only see the effects in different countries but even HERE in the UK we had floods and the warmest December on record! Just before new year there was an Incredible storm, some trees in the garden nearly fell and are obviously weak. This isn't great :(

OK sorry do disagree about another thing  Earth has had many climet changes before... and this is one of them. Take the ice age for example. It got very cold, ice caps got bigger. Then it stopped, and stayed that way a wile. Then it stopped and the ice caps receded. We are in that receding proses. It will stop at some unknown time and get cold. Its Earths nature. Nothing to worry about. :) politions want you to worry... but don't.:)

Actually your right it has had major changes but none like this which has coincidentally occurred we we started to produce mass carbon dioxide, this was demonstrated in an experiment in the mid-19th century. And also to prove my point, take a look at this:

global_warming.jpgnever has it been this big and also the "politicians" would never want you to believe this, infact it's making THEM look bad for producing carbon dioxide.

And my last point, the world leaders just had one of the biggest gatherings of the most powerful people to talk about global warming and other effects on the world, do you really think they would make such an incredible meeting when they haven't even got scientific evidence that it's real?

Sorry if ive offended anyone lol; NO HATE just replies lol

OK just accurate evedice check, where did you get the chart... people can make what they want... it may not be accurate. I know I sound like a noob, but I like to check on graphs athorazation. ;) I have never seen that evidence before. Edited by MessagerAngel

One of the things I like about this club is that we are having a logical, level-headed debate about a controversial subject and aren't squabbling and getting banned

yeah, we'd be pretty sad if we got angry about people having different, equally logical beliefs.

it was on the official NASA Environment website

Even if there is an issue, I feel it has been inflated. The most powerful are not always the wisest... Also, we do not know for sure that the earth is millions of years old. Carbon dating is not reliable. I suspect that chart was made using carbon dating, as there are very few ways to check levels of carbon dioxide. Personally, I do not believe in evolution or a million year old earth, but that is my worldview based on the evidence and knowledge I have.

Oh, and I'm not offended, it would be pretty sad if I was offended by you making a logical argument. No worries :)

EDIT: Some government agencies do benefit from climate concerns. Over her in

America, the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) is overstepping its bounds and has done some stupid things.

I'm positive that we do know approximately how old earth is for a bunch of reasons:

1) the earth couldn't have physically have structured into what it is within a period of 1 million years. (by that i mean human progression into what is is today with tech and whatnot)

2) last year scientist discovered strange waves that are expanding from the center of the universe outwards this is said to be the remains of the big bang... and guess how old they are. well alot of zeros... (DISCLAIMER: no zeros where hurt during the download of this image)

big_bang.jpg

Just in case your wondering, this was from http://www.universetoday.com/

now obviously this is not 100% accurate but solar system was probably created around the 4.6 billion mark so earth is a bit younger than that. To prove this scientists have also found rock up to the age of 3'7 billion years old.... soooo you get the idea.

(Of course if your religious then you probably didn't need to know this lol. I don't really understand how it works from my Muslim friends point of view but hes sooo convinced and content with his beliefs on how stuff works, its rather inspiring :))

Goodness, i never knew that lol
