Homeschoolers Club

*ahem* Sooo everyone who goes to public school has lots of friends and ideas and homeschoolers can't do anything? If you're a social person then you're a social person and if you're not then you're not. I'm homeschooled and even though I'm really not an extrovert I have quite a few close friends and also homeschoolers 1. Probably learn more and have a better curriculum and are SMARTER than public schoolers 2. Are able to make friends without having to see them 5 days a week 6 hours a day for twelve years and 3. Literally do the same things as public schoolers except we stay at home to do our schoolwork.

And if public school teaches you to be productive under stress it just means public schoolers are stressed all the time it literally makes no difference. You are insulting an entire community and making unfounded generalizations. Homeschoolers do have social lives, and just because we homeschool doesn't make us boring people. What do public schoolers have to speak about, the last English class they failed?

Just because people homeschool doesn't mean they have no lives. I have friends who go to public school and apparently all anyone cares about is who likes who and who's going out with who and to be honest, I fail to see how that is a useful "skill".

I'm not trying to insult public schoolers; I have several good friends in public school.

Personally, if public schoolers have no life outside of school I really don't see how it's more "professional".

And why would my entire social circle be an illusion? I think this statement would actually be more true for public schoolers because as soon as they aren't forced to spend time together at school, they're not necessarily going to stay friends...

Sorry for ranting, but your opinion really is quite ignorant.

Also there are billionaires who had rich parents and many rich, successful people are drop-outs because they had a vision and followed it, not because they were too stupid to continue school...

too long

Expertise please stop being so ignorant and do at least a little bit of research before you start making ridiculous accusations.

I never go around insulting public schoolers. Just because we're different doesn't mean either of us is better than the other. I have some good friends who were public schooled, people sometimes tell me really nice things about public schools, and sometimes really horrible things. But I really can't say whether or not I prefer homeschooling because I've never been to a public school, they're different to me, I don't know them, and I'm not going to judge them or insult them for it. Just accept that people can be different but still be just as successful.

I am not going to say anything else on this subject, but seriously, just because people are different doesn't mean you're superior, by what you've said I would guess you're a racist as well because of your atitude.

Overview:

The title pretty much explains itself. If you're a homeschooler, you can join. I have been a homeschooler all my life, taught by my mom and a few videos. One of the best things about my education has been the friends I've made. I find that homeschoolers share uncanny bonds of friendship. To this day, I get along better with my homeschooled friends who are 8 years old, than I do with publicschoolers my age. So, I decided to create this club, for the millions few homeschoolers in the Tankiverse.

Rules:

Must obey the TO rules. (duh, do I even have to say that)

Must have fun. (duh, do I even have to say that)

Must be polite. (this is extremely important to me)

Must use good grammar in the forum. (I h8 it wen ppl uz shortcuts nd bad grmmr in de forum.

Must show people that not all homeschoolers are nerdy know-it-alls. (I know it's true that we're extremely smart, but don't be nerdy ;))

Do unto others as you would have them do to you. (the golden rule)

Requirements:

Must have read the TO rules at least once. (What ?! Yes you heard me correctly!)

Must be a homeschooler. (ladies and gentlemen, I present to you: Captain Obvious)

Must be able to speak English perfectly. (or at least near perfectly)

Note: you don't have to be a homeschooler currently, if you were and have now graduated you may still join.

Application (may be personal messaged or posted in the topic):

Age:

Real name (optional):

Country:

English level (1/10):

Have you ever been banned?:

Are you polite?:

Are you a homeschooler :rolleyes::

Why do you want to join this club?:

Want to say a few words about yourself?:

That's it people, feel free to join if you meet the requirements, and have a great day. I would say "don't forget to upvote," but you see that so often you're probably tired of it. So I'll refrain from saying it :).

Plz stop spamming my inbox. Ok, ty.

But since I'm here anyways, I might as well say something. :3

Would you want your entire social circle to be an illusion?
And let's say you are incredibly sociable, you are still a boring person, you have no events to speak about, no ideas, what will you speak about, the last online class you took?, regular schools are much more professional, not just for the social life, but for basically everything, so that scenario does definitely exist, if I was to decide, I'd actually ban homeschooling as a whole.
What I said might not make sense to you, but it actually does, there are some skills that you just can't get by homeschooling, one of them is the ability to be productive under stress, and etc. Etc.

"No events, no ideas" <--- perfect example of misinformation. So despite the fact that I've read Dickens, Shakespeare, Multiple history books, books on evolution, books on Christianity, etc. I have "no ideas?" Yeah... maybe you need to do some more research.

And no events? Soooo... speaking from my own experience here, k. I've been to America, Canada, Japan, Korea, Germany, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia, China, and I'm going to Myanmar on May 1st. And since home schoolers often have big families, I've gotten to share those experiences with my siblings and parents  :). And as for your "illusional social life," I'll again point out that most home-schoolers have lots of real friends.

sorry but I am going to have to ask you to leave (and btw most homeschoolersafter they finish school up to Highschool end up going to College or at least taking some classes)

Don't make him leave. This is a fascinating discussion.

Wow what of a cool guy you are
Now let's be serious, can you tell me just 1 billionaire who was home-schooled?
There are billionaires who are drop outs, didn't do college, didn't even go to school, but are there any who were home-schoolers? No?
It proves you're at the bottom end of the scale, although you're probably the smartest out of all.
Now be honest, wouldn't you do even more if you went to a regular school? A gf and karate classes would be a breeze to you.

Sorry, but your logic is so flawed.... You're acting as if being a billionaire should be everyone's goal in life.

grrrr

Lol my favourite subject is chemistry :P

You obviously haven't met my science teacher, he teaches homeschoolers now because he was fired for blowing up his classroom and having the school evacuated because of the fire. He showed us how to make gunpowder, andhe made working fireworks, and let us put sodium into hydrochloric acid.

Can I please meet this teacher?

List

Can I just say one word....

ReKT :P

I didn't say that, but if drop outs can be billionaires and home-schoolers can't, then there's obviously something wrong with homeschoolers. Which is something you figure out later in life.

I'm looking at the lives of my family and friends, many of whom are already old, and still trying to find that "something I'll figure out later in life" . They all have above average jobs, no debt, relatively high standard of living, and a close-knit family. And obviously they think home schooling is good, because they're all home schooling their children.

Man you know what, this argument is pointless, you'll figure out I'm correct later, you will obviously love home-schooling more because you have plenty of time on your hands, and you can play all day, and your life is just easy. When you grow up you'll regret being home-schooled.

Looooool. K, so right now I literally have 30 minutes of free time during the day. Of course, this is a busier week than usual, but even my normal school days start at 6 and go till 3:30 with a small break for lunch. And to top all that off, I also have home work at night from about 6:30-7:30 or so. So yeah....

And for my final point, I just wanna ask how many homeschoolers you know that are jobless, or living on welfare? Very very few. So, maybe not many of them are billionaires, but at least even fewer of them have no job at all. Compare that to public schoolers, and wow.... Very few of them turn to crime as well, I might add.

Ok, tanks for reading my wall of text. And no offense, but you might want to leave before you get rekt anymore  :).

Oh, and stop with the spam please people c:.
