Wow, well one's character is equally as important as intellect, if not more so... for example, being respectful is a good trait to have!

Exactly.

And judging from what he was saying and the attitude he said it with he lacks both.

But I'm going to stop talking aout this because there is no point.

If its a question of intelligence then I just have to say I'm 16 and have been taking university classes for almost 2 years. I want you to think about that...

Woah, that's impressive.

I got an A in my maths IGCSE at 12 but I'm starting college this year at 16 :)

Now that is impressive...

Like tony, I go to a selective school - but unlike tony, I think judging a group of people using thinly-veiled prejudice isn't exactly the best approach. Kudos to the Club you lot have going here, and do make sure to ignore the occasional bigotry from some of us school students!

 Preach on oh wise one.

Thankfully that isn't an uncommon opinion here but it's nice for people to say it anyway :)

Judging by your manner, clearly they don't teach you much there...

Is my brain cloned from your DNA or something? That's practically exactly what I said... :D

Typical "Press" member trying to show off again...yes they teach me much here more than they ever taught you in the 8 years it took you to complete high school.

Agaon, I will ask you, on behalf of this club, to leave,we don't want you here if you are going to be rude and disrespectful, we're fine with you being here a little bit if you're going to be nice, but this behaviour is not contributing to the club in any way except our amusement at your ridiculous attitude, which I would think would be embarassing to you,but then again I don't understand the mentalities of people with your attitude, so I don't know.

No comment on the high school thing because I'm not sure about what ages high school is meant to run through, me being European and not having felt any need to research how schools work because I've never been to one.

But, isn't "your home a school"?

Exactly. Point proven.

Don't cherry pick the points given to you. Answer to each one, so we know what exactly you're trying to prove and whether you're a forum troll or not.

OK let me give you one big reason why public and private education is better than homeschooling: When one gets a job, it will most likely involve working with others. Homeschooling is antisocial and does not teach you how to work with other people, which will hurt you in the long run. If you do not know how to work with other people as an adult, how do you expect to get a job? Unless you are working as a mailman, work in the animal care field or service working field for the entirety of your adulthood, homeschooling isn't going to get you where you want to be.

Oh dear, resorting to insults, aren't we?

If they don't even teach you how to properly argue a point at your school, I'm afraid that I will always remain in doubt as to the extent of your education.

May I ask - when and where was I showing off what? I believe you're the one who once bragged about having a book published...

As for the curriculum at your school, I doubt it extends beyond the teaching of how to act conceited, if you are by any means a representative of said school. After all, if people like you are the type that the school caters too...

I'm not going to continue to argue with you; a quick review of your past posts has quickly indicated to me that you remain bitter about the Tanki Writing Club fiasco (incidentially - it was your own failings as a leader that led to the closure of that particular club...), that you're convinced that all of the staff are out to "get" you. Hm. I doubt anything I say will change that mindset. Statements such as

Impossible, I hate the mods lol

Here's my viewpoint of the press: They want all the attention and if they don't get attention because, say, a small club takes it away, they'll do whatever they can to make sure the club closes by downvoting the topic of the club and trash talking the club in every topic it makes   ;)

don't help your case.

To the homeschoolers at large: you'd do best to ignore him, he's just a bitter and underqualified troll. Arrogant people like him - you can't argue with them.

At any rate, I congratulate you all on having a relatively successful topic, with the unfortunate exception of the presence of @Night-Sisters.

Yes, I do hate the Press members, because, I am right. You let a silly little club make you scream and cry and try to do anything you could to get us to stop, and when you succeeded let me guess...you threw a party? Probably, and you say I am conceited? You should really go to a real school, they might teach you something.

at least not on this topic. PM me, if you wish to continue, but I doubt your ability to do so, with an utter lack of proper instruction in debate, which you've quite clearly demonstrated.

I really am not sure what you are saying here haha lol

No, I am not living under a rock. You however...

And didn't you say you had a friend who was homeschooled? Wow, I'm sure he really appreciates you saying that kind of stuff about homeschoolers!

Are you talking to the press members, or us? Because I can't tell sorry but yes, they do in fact go to school. And maybe you should try being polite, it might get you further in life  ;)

I am perfectly able to interact with other people, thanks. You, however, don't seem to be able to interact with people very well. I understand that you are one of those people who stereotype others based on nothing, but insulting everyone you come across really is going to hurt you in the long run. I know how to work with other people; I have friends. It's not like homeschoolers stay at home all day doing nothing.

And again, if this is a question of intelligence, I'm pretty sure most of the people here, the press included, are smarter than you, at least considering the way you've been acting.

Your presence here is simply annoying, and your conceitedness is helping no one. I really would prefer it if you would contribute to an intelligent discussion rather than insulting us all. Or at least leave.

Ur brain capacity is awe inspiring tbh.

So I come from a big family, My grandparents have 11 children and over 50 grandchildren. And to top it off every. single. one. of. them. have been homeschooled during sometime in their life (and before you say that they were only homeschooled for a short while, to my knowledge the one who had been homeschooled the shortest amount of time hd been for approximately 5 years).

Want to hear some success and failure stories about them? So one of my cousins is now about 20 years old I think. As a kid he would go through his dads medical books and read them for his own personal enjoyment, at the age of 17 he had already successfully take two years of college. At the age of 18 he got to go to Congo and serve the people there for more than a year, he was planning on staying for up to two years but fell ill and had to return home. He is now going to a prestigious university and looking to become doctor like his father.

Another of my cousins had completed 4 years of university by the age of 17.

All of my cousins, and frankly most homeschoolers I know, are extremely social and outgoing. My cousin and her sister even started a gift shop in the back of their dads clinic to make money so they could go to vanuatu and do humanitarian work there.

This is an argument that will never end cause Homeschoolers are always right and public-schoolers are dumb you Public-schoolers are to stubborn to accept the fact that Homeschoolers learn just as much (and in a lot of cases more) then Public-schoolers

Anyway. Night-Sisters .I would love a Home-schoolers VS Public-schoolers article .it would be a nice addition to the paper and might finally settle this argument

lol that'd be funny

but not all public schoolers are like that guy

and there's also like private schoolers

it should be more like Homeschoolers vs Stereotyping people don't you think?

you won't believe how much I know, how much our schools know, we don't just learn from the school, we look things up ourselves, so I don't know who you are talking to, cause no one is dumb <_< (ok, their arnt really any reluctant learners in Homschooler, cause parents don't wana deal with it)

At any rate - this is a waste of my time. By all means, think what you want.

You say you will stop arguing, yet you continue to reply to this topic and debate, showing that you are still arguing. Are you incompetent with yourself? It appears so, as you think that because you are a member of a lousy group in a game that not many people have heard of that you are unstoppable and that nobody can win an argument with you.

Ur brain capacity is awe inspiring tbh.

Obviously homeschooling hasn't taught you anything about English, because yours is dreadful.

And, I seriously doubt that one of your cousins went to college at age 13, because then they would have had to start high school by 10 at the latest, which is 5 grades ahead of where everybody else stands. If that actually happened, it would have been on the news, so until you provide me with that article you have no proof, therefore your argument is invalid.

And again, if this is a question of intelligence, I'm pretty sure most of the people here, the press included, are smarter than you, at least considering the way you've been acting.

No, they are not "smarter than me." They are merely confused because they, and you, do not know how to respond to what I am saying. You are trying to tell me that homeschooling kids is better than sending them to a real school, which is a social environment that teaches life skills and doesn't spoil you. You get to pick the hours you want to do your schooling, correct? Unless you are getting a job as a writer, you most likely won't get to pick your own hours, and the only way to be experienced with not being able to pick your own hours is going to a real school.

Arguing with home-schooled kids is like arguing with a wall, no matter what you say, even if it makes sense, they will not even consider what you are saying.

I'm not saying homeschooling is better than public schooling or private schooling. I'm saying that homeschooling, for some people, is effective, and that not all public/private schoolers are better than all homeschoolers.

And btw I actually do have exposure to social environments. As I said before, I don't just stay at home all the time. I have extracurriculars, and I do in fact go out with friends.

Homeschooling doesn't spoil you - I would actually say the opposite in my case. My parents are pretty strict I'd say.

It is possible to work at home for many jobs, and is it not true that in college, you get to schedule when your classes are? It's like the same thing.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "life skills"; can you elaborate? Because homeschoolers have a similar curriculum, perhaps even better, and clearly it is possible to interact with other people without having to see them six hours a day five days a week.

Homeschooling allows you to have a more flexible schedule, and also a more advanced curriculum. By homeschooling, I am able to take much more rigorous classes than I would otherwise. It's like receiving private tutelage, except cheaper. My parents aren't dumb by the way, my dad went to Columbia and my mom went to both Princeton and Harvard. Please don't tell me you don't know what those are and that they're terrible schools.

I would argue that you are acting more brick wall-ish...
