I hate history...

lol your not alone

 Sounds good, lol

Anyone else?

im supposed to be around year 8 or 9 (thats 8-9th grade to you) and I've just finished a book called wolf brother and i found a year 9 student did a book report on it on the internet. I thought it was a good idea so i decided to write a gcse book report on it (so it has to be the same standards as a yr 11-10 student. its pretty hard but im nearly done. Parents probably wont have time to read it tho, any older people want to take a look when its done?

that's a shame. :( parents are to help you and guide you. I haven't read the book so I don't think I could read it, hope someone else does. ;)

Nope.

PHHH yeah right

Nope. That's a stupid myth.

Lol you guys wish

yep. Global warming is very real.

Ok let me explain how bogus this is. they used to call it global warming... then they found out why it was fluctuating just as it has for thousands of years. so they renamed it climate change. The people who have brainwashed you (are very bad at seeing their errors) now see that they where super stupid and are now renaming it as the world gets colder.

Shell I can start throwing evidence at you if you want :)

I'm back, but a week of pouting has made me bitter and cynical, I've forsaken the world and this stupid group that indirectly got me banned. A pox on you!

:P I'm joking (if you can't tell). Throughout the week, I've gotten notifications sent to my email, so I never got behind on all the news from this topic, now it's my turn to talk (and after a week of silence, you can bet I'll say a lot).

How to star?

First off, Richardlord, you're accepted (duh), I don't think I'll ever have to decline anyone unless someone like Danthekiller1 asks to join. You're the oldest of twelve kids!? Intense. I'm the youngest of six, and I can't even imagine what having eleven little siblings running around would be like. And then Angel and Night are both the eldest in their families as well. Maybe I'm not the person best suited to lead this club :P. Oh Night, I hope you don't mind me saying this, but you don't seem like the normal oldest girl child type of person. I know that stereotype is huge, but from what I can tell, it's often true (*cough* my big sister *cough* :P). Still, maybe you're just really good at hiding what you're truly like.

Now on the Harry Potter books. I thought they were a good read. Rowling's great storytelling gripped you till the end in every book. That's about all I've got for that series.

And finally, on the last part that grabbed my interest. The discussion on atheism vs theism. Personally, I believe in a god, no other explanation fits. When you look at all the amazing things around, you know it must have been designed. What Night said about Biology is true in Physical Science too. Every single thing has to be exactly perfect for our universe to work, and somehow it does. Am I supposed to believe that it all randomly came from absolutely nothing? No. At this point, it takes more faith to believe in evolution than to believe in an all powerful God. Yes I have many other reasons for my beliefs, but I won't be sharing them here (I'm sure you're all positively heartbroken to hear that :P). And mods, before you ban me, remember that there used to be an evolution topic where things like this, and worse ,were said without the ban-hammer coming once. So please don't ban me, or anybody else.

My after-ban rant has ended.

lol Sky, we did kinda agree to disagree awhile ago lmao

Lol that was on something that was not worth debating. This is. let me show you the truth

http://www.theguardian.com/science/brain-flapping/2014/nov/25/climate-change-is-an-obvious-myth-how-much-more-evidence-do-you-need

Climate change is an obvious myth – how much more evidence do you need?

by Dean Burnett

Climate change is a myth. We all know this, deep down. Some of you reading this may have been taken in by the fear-mongering governments or corrupt scientistsso have been brainwashed into thinking climate change is a real thing that “threatens all of humanity” or some other nonsense, but it’s just that: nonsense. When you look closely at it, the so-called evidence for climate change, or “global warming” or “warmageddon” or “planetary death spiral” or whatever they’re calling it these days, it doesn’t stand up to scrutiny.

MYTH 1:  Global temperatures are rising at a rapid, unprecedented rate. FACT:  The HadCRUT3 surface temperature index, produced by the Hadley Centre of the UK Met Office and the Climate Research Unit of the University of East Anglia, shows warming to 1878, cooling to 1911, warming to 1941, cooling to 1964, warming to 1998 and cooling through 2011. The warming rate from 1964 to 1998 was the same as the previous warming from 1911 to 1941. Satellites, weather balloons and ground stations all show cooling since 2001. The mild warming of 0.6 to 0.8 C over the 20th century is well within the natural variations recorded in the last millennium.

MYTH 9:  Receding glaciers and the calving of ice shelves are proof of man-made global warming.

FACT:  Glaciers have been  receding and growing cyclically for hundreds of years. Recent glacier melting is a consequence of coming out of the very cool period of the Little Ice Age. Ice shelves have been breaking off for centuries. Scientists know of at least 33 periods of glaciers growing and then retreating. It’s normal. Besides, changes to glacier's extent is dependent as much on precipitation as on temperature.
