Wow, one week into this topic's life and it already has the most interesting discussion on the Tanki Forum (in my opinion). You've gotta love homeschoolers  :).

My brother read the Ranger's Apprentice, but he didn't recommend it to me. Normally I trust his judgement, but what are your views. As for the other books, I've never even heard of most of them. I guess that's what you get for living in the middle of nowhere.

It helps to get away from the normal conversation in the Forum... that's what it's for anyway; taking a break from the game and just relaxing.

It all depends on the individual when it comes to books, I guess. You might have someone who's read through an entire book series and loved it, might not be the same for the next person, and vice-versa, so I can't complain if he didn't recommend it to you; ask him about it perhaps?

Well, Off Topic Discussion can get a little crazy sometimes. However, there are other thought-provoking discussions\debates going on out there.

You just have to find them. :P

The Rangers Apprentice series is a 'fun read'. The writing isn't particularly challenging, but John Flanagan can really tell a story. And he keeps the action level intense throughout all the books. It might be worth a look.

Haha, I LOVED the Alex Rider series, you might want to try reading it again! Ranger's Apprentice was pretty good, and no I never did read Brotherband; never even heard of it honestly! I should try finding it.

Tbh, I barely finished the first Alex Rider book.  :lol:  :ph34r: Does it get better?

Ikr especially if u read the whole series in line with another from book 1 to book 8? It ties up alot of things the movies don't cover like in the first book the lady from the other world that Totally ties up how the white witch got in to Narnia but the ending of the last book is a total twist

The Chronicle movies were just horrible, there's no other way to describe them. I was extremely disappointed after the first one. Why did they put the White Witch in the Voyage of the Dawn Treader even though she's not even mentioned in the book? They absolutely ruined it! Sorry about the rant, it's just that movies contradicting books is one of my pet peeves. Don't even get me started on the LotR and Hobbit movies.

The Last Battle wasn't really a twist in my opinion. Lewis wrote the entire series as an allegory, so he had to make the ending like that. It's actually my favorite book in the series.

He did put in an application, and it's fine not to enjoy Narnia (even if it's wacko not to).

Narnia is long?! That's news to me  :P. You should read LotR, your definition of long would change.

A little long...

Umms. Nah.  :lol:

Well it depends on the reader somepeople would say a 10 inch thick book is not very long others would say diary of a wimpy kid book are to long. And they are kinda long cause they may not he very big but the words are small and that fits more into them. But I've read big books like I'm not sure if you've ever heard of this one but its called " the roar " its a si-fi book its actually pretty good but its pretty long its about 4-500 pages

Well they put the white witch in the voyage of the dawn treader cause in the part she was shown in was the island of darkness or something like that where all ur worst nightmares come true and Edmund the witch was Edmunds worst nightmare so they inturn kind of needed to put her in the movie . And I myself find that the last battle was kind of a twist that "Narnia" was just basically a forgery of the real Narnia. I understood from the first movie that aslan was supposed to represent Jesus/God and the white witch the devil cause when they brought aslan to the stone table and killed ("crusified ") him then he came back (resorected) from the dead

Homeschooling is the way everyone should be. If I want to learn about something that is not in my curriculum my mom can add in anything I want to learn in to it. I also learn a lot more because if something is on my mind I can go and ask my parents any time I want. It is the way everyone should be taught.

Hi all. This thread, as my friend and fellow homeschooler Ford pointed out, is dying. The creator of this topic has seemingly left the game, leaving to continue this fine discussion. There is absolutely no reason for this to happen, though. If you are a homeschooler, I'd suggest you look at the Homeschooler Club I created in the Specialist club section. Homeschooling is #1!

Updated homeschooler list:

@KillerGnat

@fordmustang12345

@Night-Sisters

@Dragon-Judgement

@duck100101

@epickiller546

@dilsharox

If I'm missing anyone, tell me.

me (messengerangel) my bro (Oldprophet) and a friend (fun2kill) :D

Updated group:

All the people in the last group+

You should get them to log into the forum, so I can tag their names.
