Technically there's no sale, just that the weapon can be made available without speedups.

I have exactly the same thought when I first saw the announcement. The present sale doesn't help. e.g. the MU is 1000, speed up = 50% = 500. 25% off MU = 750, 50% off speed up = 250. If you do the speed up right after you do the MU, you will need to pay 750+250=1000 = same amount. If you wait for a while then do the speed up that only help you a bit, and you still need to wait but may be not that long. If you do the speed up nearly the end of the MU, e.g. last 30min of a 5 hr MU, yes, the speed up fee is small but you still have to wait for long, that is not much help. This so-call sale is a gimmick to make you feel "Yeah, finally there is a MU sale, lets do it !" and pour in your crystals and, may be, real money.

 

I don't against MU, but think clear and make sure are you really needing that particluar step on that particular equipment. Before you press the button, ask yourself: does it worth?. And make sure you won't over spending ---> you will need to ask you mom to buy you crystals again and again.

My M3 twins has 35/50 MUs:

So if I upgrade it two leves this weekend it will cost me 26790+27530 which is 54320  - 10864 which is the 25% discount  =  43456 crystals.

With these 2 levels I will deal 0.01 more damage.

MUAHAHAAA!!! Such damage, much discount, very worth it. wow.

P.S. It takes me at least 2 weeks to get that many crystals with the help of daily missions.

Congratulations ! At least you won't get +0.005 more damage with 2 levels of MU. What a nice discount ! LOL !

 

I suggest we may consider to go out for a good movie or do gethering with our family or friends or go for a nice meal. Anything is better than sitting in front the monitor to MU 0.01 for our tank's damage .

well this just put another nail in our tanks

 

due to how many will be using all there crystals to mu when the big sale is in DEC and this is what they want us to do is waste our crystals on mu so we buy more when at Christmas we need our money for gifts for the family...

not a smooth move in my books tanki...

 

for those who do buy well your tank wont be any stronger then it is now due to more tanks will be mu as well so its not a winning situation in the long run ...only the company will win ...

 

so choose wisely on what your plans are to buy or not to buy..is the question...

Normally, I would take advantage of the discount. But with bundled micro-upgrade, I need to figure out whether it's worth it.   There are parameters I do not brother to upgrade.  Now, it's all or nothing..... I might go with nothing... Have some time to think about it.

Tanki is throwing us a bone here.  This is a good thing.  This isn't a Christmas or Tanker's Day, or Tanki's Birthday sale.  Don't expect deep discounts or be disappointed by the 25%.  The price before and after is 0% off, right?

 

Be smart about this.  Use your brain.  Better yet, use the following guidelines.

 

1-Don't MU turrets lower than M3.  Okay, maybe you can, but you are wasting crystals.  If you do, don't put more than 2-3 MU steps into any one item.... it is just not worth it.

2-The 50% off speed ups is actually a VERY GOOD DEAL.  Why?  Do THIS ----> Micro-upgrade an item at 25% off just before you go to bed.  Do NOT select the speed up option.  When you wake up in the morning, the speed up price will be EVEN LOWER since you've already waited many hours, resting comfortably.  THEN use the speed up...... you're effectively getting a 75% discount.

3-Don't use speed ups outside of the above scenario.  This means you will only MU an item 3, maybe 4 steps in this sale.  But at 25% off, that's probably as much as you want to spend anyway.

4-With only 25% discount, only MU your primary hull and turret.  Don't drain your crystals upgrading equipment you rarely use.... not THIS time.  Wait for a better MU discount.

5-Maybe don't MU anything.  Are you saving up for a kit or your next hot hull or turret and are almost there?  Don't let this sale drain your crystals or put you in danger of not being able to afford the item.  Kits are the BEST deals in the game right now, and new equipment is always better for your game than MUing existing stuff.
