Missing moral compass?

Hello everyone there, I am not an excellent writer and actually never considered myself to be one, but I would like to share this with you.

As you know, few weeks back was Halloween. Many probably carved the pumpkins to achieve the most craziest and scariest faces, maybe you were off to trick-or-threat with friends, or maybe you absolutely ignored all of those real life Halloween related things and rather chose to once again spend hours and hours no-lifing behind the keyboard.

I don´t judge you, honestly I did the same. Which tanker would ignore the ten times increased chances of gold box dropping, special map and decorations? You know, all the specials that Tanki prepared for us.

However, that is not the topic I want to talk about.  Don´t  know how things are in other parts of world, I am definitely not a globe-trotter, but at least in my country the day after Halloween, we remember those who left us here and went on the other side to join the God. Naturally, as someone who lost the dearest people to me, every year me and my family as many of the other bereaved pay the visit to cemetery. We pull in at every grave of our relatives, frugally place flowers, fire few candles and say a prayer.

When I was in middle school, one clever teacher told us that even if we will once be the richest people in the world, we will never be able to pay back everything our parents gave us. I can do nothing but agree with him. I am fully aware of it, I loved those people who I no longer can see or speak to. It is natural I recall and honour them on this day.

Today are more than three weeks from that high day and since Winter is roughly knocking on the door I went to cemetery to retrieve the glass candle holders and faded flowers so the grave is prepared for this season of the year and to prevent the items being destroyed by freezing temperatures.

But as I was fulfilling the aim I came there for I noticed something was missing. It was the plastic candle with eternal light. It is something like a symbol of ceaseless presence of God. Somebody simply stole it.

I can´t even describe with words how resentful I was and still am. Bad words, some of them I almost forgot that exist, were emerging in my mind. I do not support any thievery. Maybe if it was a state of emergency, when you would have to steal something e.g. to save the life of starving child, I would understand that and forgive that. But to sink so low as stealing things from grave is a whole other level.

Maybe it was a black marketeer. I would not be surprised at all. You can always find this subversive elements, that will sell a stolen thing. I just hope someone did not steal it and put it on his relatives grave. That poor soul must be turning in the grave now.

Fortunately, the property damage is not high. That candle cost less than ten euros though that does not change anything on the matter. An euro worth or million worth, he/she is still a thief. I don´t even know why am I writing this, probably to express my deep bitterness. Apparently we should not expect just the best from people.

That sucks....some people are just...I don't have words to express my anger. The one who stole your candle not only cheated you but he/she also cheated God. It is said that the one who prevents someone from doing something good will never achieve peace in life.

For all you know it could be some homeless person on the street needing a free candle to see somewhere, or some kid stealing because of group pressure/prank/mischief...

Fear not.

KARMA bites hard, no matter who its. Rich or Poor.

ok i understand and in Ontario Canada we do the same thing and when we do place flowers or candles at the grave sight the company who does maintenance on the property has the rights to remove items in order to cut the grass or just cause of issues broken / flowers are dead things like that so this could have happened not sure ..if everything else was still there then yea you are correct in assuming this happened..for us here in Canada our candles are about $1.00 each or less depending on what type you buy..

now you should let this go due to this is a minor thing and it could happen to anyone .. also a animal like a squirrel or bird could have taken it ..i had shinny rocks out side one year and i found them all over my yard and this was cause of a bird and the squirrels..

I doubt it was taken by maintenance company, it was placed in lantern that is part of the tomb so I think someone take it intentionally. Of course it is nothing that would economically destroy me or my family but if it is true that someone took it for self-profit which i am like 99% sure of, i am deeply disappointed how far can some people go.

How'd you know they call me god?
