[Declined] Forum Achievements

At the moment, all achievements are related to the game itself,  to the action on the battlefield. Since a lot of players also spend a lot of their time on the forum, I think it'd be fair if there were some achievements related to the forum. This way, the forum might get a bit more active than it is now.

 

I've been thinking about the following achievements:

(5, 10, 25, 50, 100, 200)

• number of posts on the forum 
  (100, 500, 1000, 5000, 10 000, 20 000)
• number of profile views
  (100, 500, 1000, 5000, 10 000, 20 000)
• number of created topics
  (1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50)
• get 'x' number of upvotes on a post/topic
  (5, 10, 25, 50, 100, 200)

What I've written between the parentheses are possible amounts for each type of achievement. Please share your thoughts and additions.

There you've got a valid point, though some players have already used alts to increase their profile view count. On the one hand, more players might start doing that. On the other hand, they don't hurt anyone by doing so. Still, it's a valid point you're making.

Either way the forum is only a small part of the game and not many people are interested in it. I doubt that such achievements are much desired by players.

It might attract players to visit the forum. The forum has had better times. 

 

I agree with the point that some can be achieved by 'flooding' topics and posts and unfortunately some players haven't got the maturity to achieve those achievements the fair way. Though, I'm convinced at least one forum achievement should be added and can be an asset.

I only like your topic idea. The post count my one is useless, as we can already see a person's post count, and plus, this will encourage spam and flood. The profile views - Seriously ?!?!? Players like have used an auto refresh software to increase their profile views, so how 'bout no.

Sadly, I agree with these two posts - all the suggested achievements can be easily obtained by either flooding or "cheating" (using an auto-refresher), so they won't really be as rewarding as other possible achievements that may be obtained in more difficult and trust-able ways, so players will just ignore them and these will surely not increse Forum fame honestly.

As said above by @Issho_Fujitora, these people are right. Though this would be nice, scammers and people with an auto-refresher, like me (don't worry, I use it correctly), will just get these achievements. It might be possible to have another rating system on the forum, to qualify good posts and bad post, and then do the achievements.

I agree on your given feedback, though there must be at least one achievement related to the forum to make it more active, more interesting. As for now, it's always the same players who're online on the forum. The forum is getting less active than before. With forum achievements, we might attract new players to explore the forum. If you're having ideas for forum achievements that can't be achieved by 'flooding' or 'cheating', please share them.

I think 'no-one' is a big word. Forum users might care about it. They are the ones who keep the forum alive. Without them, there wouldn't be a forum. Players who're striving to get as many achievements as possible might also care about it. They might start using the forum which makes the forum more active. You can see it as some kind of attempt to make to forum more interesting and more active. At the moment I'm writing this post, 41 552 players are in the game while only 73 players are online on the forum. Less than 1% of the players, even less than 0.1% of the players do actually use the forum. Forum missions might attract some more players to visit the forum regularly.

You really can't be sure about that, unless you're a fortuneteller. :o As I said before, I agree on the given feedback. Let me think about other possible forum achievements. I'll add them in the opening post once I found some more possible forum achievements.
