Experience for stunts and medals

Tanki Online currently have the experience (XP) for every action that players do, like kills, heal, capture flags and control points. I am planning for a secondary type of experience (XP). This type of XP is only achieved for stunts. Any type of stunts including jumping of ramps.

 

Jumping from ramps and other stunts are very common in Tanki Online but players do not earn crystals or fill up a secondary rank up bar for performing them.

 

Normal Player:

 

A normal player shall rank up his stunt bar by doing any type of stunt. He needs to earn 12.500 XP rank to move to the next stunt rank. The same thing goes for the Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum ranks.

 

Normal Player:

 

Rank Stunt Bar - Total of 12,500 XP - 10 crystals (Battle Fund) + 10 points for each kill.

 

Bronze Player:

 

Rank Stunt Bar - Total of 25,000 XP - 25 crystals (Battle Fund) + 25 points for each kill.

 

Silver Player:

 

Rank Stunt Bar - Total of 50,000 XP - 50 crystals (Battle Fund) + 50 points for each kill.

 

Gold Player:

 

Rank Stunt Bar - Total of 100,000 XP - 100 crystals (Battle Fund) + 100 points for each kill.

 

Platinum Player:

 

Rank Stunt Bar - Total of 200,000 XP - 200 crystals (Battle Fund) + 200 points for each kill.

 

A medal will be issued to players that complete each of the XP stunt ranks.

 

The XP Stunt Bar is located underneath the top bar for normal rank ups.

 

Normal Player: 0/12,500

The Max image below means that the player has completed all of his XP Stunt Ranks Bar achievements. This is just like the top Tanki Online military rank grade "Generalissimo".

The rank stunt bar does not require Premium Accounts. They can be achieved for achieving stunts in normal battles.

 

I have mentioned this topic before, but now I made myself more clear of what I am talking about. Please pass this idea to the developers of Tanki Online. Thank you.

Than there will be only parkour in maps

Better version of idea: Jump from higher place, 1 kill = 15 EXP (no SMP), double kill: 20 EXP (no smp), Triple and more kills: 25 EXP (no SMP)

This would increase accuracy of players

Getting an achievement for doing Parkour would be great but how will Tanki know whether we do parkour

Tanki Online Parkour would be done in standard regular battles. This will be a different type of Parkour and Tanki Online does not need to be aware of it.

No. There will be normal battles and other battles where players choose to perform Parkour stunts.

Please make sure that this post on "Experience for stunts and medals" is kept open and that Tanki Online developers see this new update and add it to Tanki Online. I currently find Tanki Online far too basic in the amount of features it has. It lacks many features. Games like "World of Tanks" is a similar game to Tanki Online and it has many more features than Tanki Online. Tanki Online needs to grow its arsenal of turrets, hulls, paints, supply boxes, daily missions and other goodies.

 

I have written this post to let people know that Tanki Online is almost entering the new year of 2016, and still, it is too basic, and lack features for its day and age.

 

If Tanki Online has to become a lot more successful and interesting for people around the world to play then, it need to definitely improve.

 

I am not sure how successful or not Tanki X will be.

Well, nice but I don't think the Flash version has the capability to detect exact physical movements of tanks and STORE THEM to be able to record progress for a stunt or parkour bar.

What you just said is wrong because Flash is powerful enough to detect exact physical movements of Tanks. I use Flash too. Flash is capable of recording the progress bar for Parkour stunts.

Do you realise that getting 200 points for every kill (i.e. getting experience 20 times faster than normal) means that you will never have enough time to earn crystals to buy upgraded equipment as you rank up? With that kind of crystals to experience ratio a bunch of players with high "stunt stats" will end up having M0 and M1 equipment on high ranks like this guy. And it will become a problem for them, as well as their teammates.

When players earn 200 points they also earn 200 crystals per kill. So 200 points and 200 crystals per kill. This is only for players who are Platinum Rank Stunt Bar achievement. This shall not affect the amount of crystals that players earn to buy new equipment or micro upgrade. Instead, Platinum players would always earn a fixed 200 points and 200 crystals for every (1) kill. So if you to kill an enemy in any type of battle, (DM, TDM, CTF & CP) you would always earn 200 crystals and at the same time 200 points per kill.

This game is about tank battles, not doing tricks and jumping across rooftops. Yes, parkour is a big thing in Tanki, but don't expect it to become an essential part of gameplay like what you are suggesting. The most we can expect to get is some achievements or small rewards related to conquering certain places in Parkour mode.

As if... average players have now the time to buy items from garage without spending real money...

How about lower the prices and see what happens?

Oh, yes, I forgot. You already said that should Tanki did that, they would go bankrupt. Well, that means they just didn't follow a good marketing plan, did they... because, either way, they are losing players base fast.

Still it's very impressive for a Flash based browser game to go this far in terms of popularity. Any game like this is bound to get less popular after a while, which is why they are planning to bring the idea back to life via Tanki X.

Are you implying that the reasons I mentioned are not valid, since "it's very impressive for a Flash based browser game to go this far"?

Come on, don't make me say repeatedly things that embarrass the company. I WAS very font of Tanki, you understand that, don't you? I wanted it to succeed and flourish and increase the players' base.

 

Making mistakes is not sad, it's part of life. Don't learning from them, that's sad.

I can see two issues.

  • How is the system supposed to determine whether something is a stunt or not? Complex things such as parkour launches or stacking tanks would be very difficult to identify based on values from the physics engine. The developers are not superhuman- programming a system like this would be very hard.
  • If you're basing stunts on simple things like jumping off ramps, there's nothing stopping me from making a private battle and jumping off the same ramp in Year 2042 over and over again to farm stunt points.
