Although i usually hate writing stories apparently I've been told on numerous occasions that i am good at it, so here it goes :p

Hope you enjoy it more parts are on the way

The Soul soldier (Part 1)

Long long ago, before the existence of man, the existence of earth, and while my appointment to throne was still to come, there was a predicament, a predicament that foresaw the coming of something extraordinary, a strange sign suddenly forged in the stars, literally before our very eyes, its light and energy was greater than all the power of all the largest galaxies combined! Supreme! Even I son of one of the mightiest gods could still not contemplate such an event! Questions upon questions arose among the Gods of what such a symbol could possibly mean? Could it be a warning of woes or wonders to come?

"My son, what we have just witnessed is inconceivable! What lies ahead is completely unpredictable! But when you ascend to the throne and take my place as the next rightful ruler, it will be up to you son to unravel this mysterious wonder, for I will not live long enough to see it!”

And so, it was appointed to me, no matter how long it would take, to investigate this so called "mysterious event" that had been haunting the Gods for thousands of years. Tis to this day a million years on and answers were still scarce. I knew as the ruler of Olympus I could not afford to let this mystery fall out of my grasp, for I was one of very few remaining who had witnessed it, everyone else including my father were now deceased, and I was one of the only few who could solve it.

I informed my men of my mission and prepared to make my first journey towards what will be my embankment for untangling such odd affairs. With me I took the sacred scroll, for defense the trident of Atlantis and the sword of strength, 400 warriors to accompany me, 7 sacred spells that I could offer as a gift should it be required, and a map, pointing to all the important places where I would visit.

Avast, I had accrued a list of geniuses and elder gods, who were as old as the universe itself, much older, and wiser than i in terms of their respective areas.

First laid the ambiguous master lordinni, filled with many unknowns, he was just as strange as the universe itself. He had vast knowledge of the cosmos and could foresee future events, I knew seeking him could give me further insight into what could have caused this events.

The powerful yet respectable hormeshu, it is said that a single blast at full anger at his might was enough to shatter entire star systems, which makes him one of the most supreme beings of the universe. As a ruler of the stars, seeking him could unlock the philosophy behind where and how this energy had traveled from and thus what it contained.

The enigmatic Varos; ruler of many dimensions in the respective universe, with the potential ability of omnipresence and able to travel back in time to past events, consulting with him was an absolute necessity.

The strange but cunning boros, said to be one of the most intelligent beings ever to have lived, his inventions and unchallenged knowledge of tech could prove vital to unlocking deeper mysteries surrounding this event still.

And there were more great beings…. Yet to be mentioned

Through consulting them, I could then map a picture of these events and discover just of what had really happened!

I first made my way to my first visit, with master lordinii, and at last, I had arrived at his lair, I quickly prepared the gifts that I would bring to him.

We were finally here, and just as I was about to celebrate my first marvelous accomplishment, I turned around, and behold, for I was not the only one after this mystery! There were others too! Such as the illusive lord ostrononage!

Ah! For there were yet more battles to be made still……

You did not mention what the friggin' event was! I know it must've been to add suspense and intrigue us and all that, but it ruined a story with great potential. It makes it look pretty empty.

*Sigh*, I don't really get why there has been this fascination of writing a story in parts in the TO forum. Without mentioning the event in this case, the plot is pretty baseless. You're just referring to it as 'the event'. That is not a good way to add suspense. You have great potential as a writer. You've got the expressions right. You just need to work on the sequence of the plot.

Ok but i haven't mentioned the event because its part 1, i could easily do that it part 2, and it would ruin the excitement of the story

I'm afraid to say that I agree with @I.WalkAlone, although perhaps not to such extent as he does. I do think that giving some sort of idea what this event was is important, though I also agree with you that stating 'the event' would not give as much suspense.

Other then that, I think it is a great story! Will be interesting to read part 2, 3, 4 and so on. GL!
