Real photo section

i`m not sure if players are aware that if you post in this section ( Real photo  )  anyone and i mean anyone who can connect to tanki on line can see your postings of your pictures

 

now i personally feel this topic should only be open to players who have account in tanki should have access to this topic

 

or this topic should be removed and even the topic on the talking about it.

 

 

..due to this topic is open to the public and anyone can see your pictures...

 

yea i know i`m suppose to be off line but this was important ..

That's a fair concern, but it's not all that unsafe to post a public picture on the internet, especially when there is no name linked to that picture, which is the case in most of them. Internet safety is important, but the recent wave of people saying you shouldn't post any personal information or photos at all online is a bit ridiculous. I'm not blaming you of this, I'm just saying I don't think posting your real picture online is nearly as unsafe as many people make it out to be.

 

That being said, you've got a good point -- I'm sure there are many people who would feel more comfortable posting their photo if it wouldn't be visible to the entire internet. Many TO Forum pages are already only available to logged-in members, like member profiles, so I'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to do the same with this page.

Honestly speaking, this is not an issue at all, for the following reasons:

• When you post a picture online, in any web-site (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tanki Forum, Google Plus - ANYWHERE), you are doing so on your own will and decision, thus it is of your own responsability posting a photo online, not an issue caused by web-sites
• Speaking specifically of the "Real Photo" topic: it existed for 4 years and contains photos uploaded online by hundreds of users, always on their own will - if they did not want their photo to be there anymore, they had 4 years to remove it and will have all the time they need to do so in the future too, everyone can post a photo and then change his / her idea and remove it later on.

Also, all the registered users and all the unregistered users can view all the topics and posts on our Forum, it has always been like that - if you want to hide your own photo, simply do so, no one forces you to keep it online.

The same goes for all web-sites on the internet - unregistered users may always see online photos (Example: Facebook, Google images, Instagram, etc...), but you can either remove them completely or simply avoid posting them at all.
