Changes in garage and reworked CP

Well I'm a bit dissapointed with this update. All it means is that when I drug in Poly to demolish the other team and get all the cry, I will in fact be losing crystals just by winning :( Too many complaints about CP being boring I guess??? Which it wasn't.

If CP is boring then why do they play it? Like, shut up just because one person doesn't like it, that doesn't mean I can't like it, which in fact I do. Good point you make :)

In a V-LOG a few months ago, Semyon said that when this garage updates comes out, paints will be in order of most protection to least so that you can access your best paints easier. What happened to that  :huh:

First impression of the new garage lay out is good. However, add store-room folder. Add a flag-checkbox to items to have them listed in the store-room folder. This will clean up the other folders, reducing purchased items showing in the specific folders. Going to the store-room folder and unchecking the store-room-flag will return the item to the regular folder.

 

The new garage format forces additional clicks when changing a full tank during a battle. Having fewer items in the folders will allow for quick access to the primary items a tanker currently uses.

 

Also, perhaps sort by most used, at least for paints. Hours is now being tracked for all items.

 

Special folders should be considered. Perhaps a primary special folder holding one turret, one hull, and two paints. And a secondary special folder holding two turrets, two hulls, and three paints.

We now don't know how much longer the product kits are available in the garage. The count down of time (days) disappears after the garage update.

 

I don't know is this only happening in my garage or in everyone's.

Was this garage change really needed? Or was it "make-work" for the development team?

It inconveniences ALL of the current players for no readily apparent reason.

I thought we were all smart enough to avoid "change for the sake of change" but I guess I was wrong.

 

Not satisfied to mess with the CP, so that non-Pro battles became unusable...

(you did notice that there are practically ZERO battles in CP at the higher ranks??)

...let's mess with it some more so that it becomes even more difficult for experienced players.

The only bright spot is that the CP's where the point score was unworkably low now become moot,

and CP's can, in theory, be regulated by time again. Just like they were before you guys messed them up.

 

These updates have become so intrusive and so patently brainless that it appears I will have to leave Tanki.

No more rubles, comrades. When my current stash of supplies run out, it is do svidaniya...

The present garage system is okay but I think turrets and hulls can be put on the save page (tab). There are only around 20 items and way less than the number of paints. This would make the in-battle equipment change a bit easier and faster. It is not a big deal, just a small suggestion.

I like the garage update, but I disagree with the paints. I would rather have my better paints towards the front, because I would more likely to use them instead of basic paints. 

Actually, they should order the hulls, turrets, and paints like they do in the ratings page, based on how likely you would use them.

Who is left? DM (the game mode that generates the less battlefund) and CTF (to a lesser extent, for now).

I used to work for the USPS: where overpaid government bureaucrats jousted with overpaid employee labor unions.

My joke (which ironically turned out to be true) was that...

"Every day the managers and the carrier union vigorously compete...

...to see who can destroy the Post Office first."

Tanki ain't dead yet, but its operators do seem determined to kill it.

I'd say, give the devs the benefit of the doubt, and hope that the reason for the balancing of the game modes, is in order to increase funds across the board, but I've been giving them the benifit of the doubt for the last 3yrs, and it's never materialized.

Random discounts, missions and 2x funds while fun, make it impossible to budget purchases, and make any sound decisions.

It has become a game of chance.

The metagame and monetization model are not working in this game because the system of fixed experience/rank regardless of equipment forces players to join battles outside their modification range, in simple terms it's the have's vs the have not's.

The game gets ruined for both buyers and players who decide to go the f2p route, this became very real after garage access was added to the game making inventory critical to success. The f2p players end up not being able to play the game.

The game was much better before MUs and garage access, once you joined a battle, you were forced to play that combo or risk losing your spot in the game to change combo or paint and the f2p player was able to compete with limited inventory, now that just not the case.

I am sorry to say but the new CP update will be rubbish. It will take "FOREVER" for even a 100 CP match to complete if the teams are equal in strength and (without the update would get a neck-to-neck score).  :huh:  :mellow:  <_<  :unsure:

 

 

But the new garage system will be awesome!   ^_^

Garage looks great. Now, make us happier with a decent sale on Xmas.

 

Unsure about the Control Point rework, but I think it will help eradicate one-sided CPs.. and maybe give a chance to losing team. Also, I predict that fund will rise fast on one-sided battles, so more Polygon gold! :D

The CP update is an interesting update. It is kind of like updating FIFA rules to make the team who scores the last goal wins even if the other team leads by 10 goals.

 

After this huge success in (ruining) CP, are you going to take it along to CFT? If a team captures a flag, it will subtract 1 from the other team, so:

 

1 : 0

0 : 1

1 : 0

0 : 1

1 : 0

2 : 0

1 : 1

2 : 0

1 : 1

2 : 0

3 : 0

4 : 0

3 : 1

2 : 2

1 : 3

0 : 4

Final result : 0 : 4

Classic result : 8 : 8

 

I am sure the CTF fans will be exited.

 

Then you can take it to DM. Whoever makes a kill decreases the kill number of everyone else and so on. It would be a lot of fun.

 

I have previously expressed happiness that the devs had never gotten to updating CP, thinking that they would ruin it completely.

 

I guess I was right after all.

The CP mode is awesome, funds are gonna be higher than before thanks to this update! Now don't waste my time, I'm going to play PCX ;)

Perhaps you can add an indicator registering the level of score-advantage to the team that is behind.

 

We need more information on what is going on in determining how the score is affected and what to do about it as the lead team and as the trailing team.

I think our Equipment's already bought and Shopping should be separate. So that the Tanker actually know Items He/She don't have or simply does not make a mistake to buy a newbie Paint while being in a rush to join a battle.

 

Once All Items Purchased in One Category the Button is removed from the Shop List. For example if 1 Tanker got the whole Turrets equipment's The button "Turrets" is removed from the Shop list.

 

This will keep everything we can buy in a separate list and everything we already have on TOP.

 

That's just a suggestion :) I may be wrong or my Idea may cause trouble with other stuff :( But let's see if am right.

 

BTW Kits not suppose to be limited? Where is the timer?

The garage system takes some getting used to: my paints used to be easy to get to: all the way right were the ones I used. Now I have the piddling ones first. Why not BEST PAINTS at the left, the ones we are actually using!?

 

Yeah, first they made time meaningless with the POINTS CEILING

(setting them for all battles according to time instead of size was S-T-U-P-I-D).

Now they make the points ceiling somewhat screwed as well, and MAKES IT POSSIBLE FOR RAIDERS to play CP!!

Not the kind of help we had in mind :angry: ...whoever had this bright idea needs to go.
