Changes in garage and reworked CP

I do not like the new update. Those menu bars are too small that I can't see without my glass. Please change back to default, its giving me eye pressure.  I play rarely due to my eye problem, now going to quit the game for those stupid updates.

Speaking of giving eye pressure. ANNOYING TEXT ALERT.

 

And anyway, while the update is good, It needs to be toned down a little for single point maps. For multipoint maps, it is great, but for single point maps it is too much.

They actually had to do it this way. Otherwise, it would taken you 5 minutes to capture a point in Madness or Serpuhov, etc.

 

Previously, they had the individual score for capturing a point divided by the number of points in the map. Now, they also divided the team score for capturing a point similarly. So, you have to capture all the points in a map to advance your score by 1 point every 4 seconds.

 

This may make multipoint maps more playable than poor Polygon and Sandbox CP.

This is an okay garageupdate, but I think that you should make the garage like battles. When you go to battles you can click the DM button so it doesn't show DM battles and click it again to make it show DM battles again. You can do the same for other battle modes. This lets you be able to put together any collection of battles! CTF and TDm or DM and TDM or CTF, CP, and DM, anything you want. You should do this for garage too so you can make any collection of stuff. Hulls and Kits or Turrets, Supplies, Paints and Special or just Paints, or Special, Kits and Supplies, anything you want! I think this will work best.

Too much is a bad update
And is helpful to multi-Bases
If the team is winning by a margin of 200 points over 6 minutes into the match loses
If players have lag or fall out of the game for 5 min or .......

I've spent some time in Polygon CP now, and I like it. It seems close teams keep close battles. If one team is dominant, it shows more, but not as quickly. Keeps the battle interesting longer. 

I think the update is good.Good change to CP. We need more detailed explanation of how the CP scoring works scoring works. Some examples will help.

 

A possible further tweak to CP scoring: the CP scoring rate could be multiplied by the player ratio per team. That is, if blue is ahead, and a couple red players leave, giving, say 10 blue to 8 red, then blue team point accumulation rate is multiplied by 0.80. If red captures, their score accumulation will be multiplied by 1.25. Another example: If 7 to 1, scoring would be X0.14 for the 7 member team, and X7 for the 1 member team. (Extreme example, but I think it still has utility.)

 

A 1 v 7 CP couldn't be won by the 1, but it will slow down scoring, and perhaps more will join the battle, raising the chances for the smaller team to begin to catch up. 

 

You may want a different multiplication factor computation, but I suggest it will increase the playability and attractiveness of longer CP battles.

Tankers!

 

We’ve just rolled out 2 major changes in Tanki Online: finding an item you need in your garage is now a lot easier with the folders feature, while Control Points battles have become a lot more dynamic.

 

Folders in Garage

The garage is no longer separated into “My Items” and “Shop”. Instead, all items are now divided into 6 categories:

  • Turrets
  • Hulls
  • Paints
  • Supplies
  • Kits
  • Special

Guns are sorted according to effective range, and hulls according to weight and protection. Paints are displayed from most basic to most advanced.

 

The “Special” folder includes passes, Double Crystal Cards, as well as temporary and unique items added to the game for various events.

 

For every folder, the game first displays the items you own, next, the ones that are available for purchase, and finally, goods that are not yet available due to your rank.

 

By the way, the game memorizes the last viewed folder, and will be opening it automatically next time you enter the game.

 

Also, if something new happens inside a category, such as a new item being unlocked, or a new discount becoming available, a red indicator will appear on top of the respective button.

 

Reworked CP mode

The Control Points mode has become a lot more dynamic thanks to the updated system for score calculation.

 

Now, besides growing their score by controlling points, the leading team will also lose points for every control point currently occupied by the enemy — the losing side will be able to close the gap, so a battle’s outcome will always remain unclear till the very end, making for an even more exciting game!

I played a CP poly 77 point,non-format, no supply, MUs on, with garage access, 40 min time limit.

joined losing side 22-45 with 22m in left, won battle 77- 34.

Getting control of point is much easier, score rises quickly, its poly on nitro.

the gameplay was fun, but the fund was poor, or should I say comparative to CTF.

now all we need is something to address the issue of having to painfully go garage to change to xp / bp equipment each time and lose our place in battle while doing so.  otherwise great update :)

Um hello. you seem to know your stuff when I was scrolling through the forum. do you know how I can see how long kits have left before they run out? before the update there was a little red box saying no of day/hours left to get it but since the update that has gone and I cant find anywhere that shows what I am looking for.

I did not get why you would get a smaller fund. It is still driving the enemies away from the point 4 * number of enemies, and capturing it is 8 * number of enemies. Why would you get less?

I just played and lost my first CP game after the update. Even though my team controlled the majority of points a majority of the time, the score eventually evened out and then we lost in the end by four points in a half hour game when the losing team made a final push.

 

I recommend not playing half hour or more games because the score will eventually even out although you might have a better team you are still punished for playing. I won't be playing any more CP games because it's no longer about skill and it's more profitable to spend your time losing because the game will even the score out after small advances from the losing side.

 

I will make it a priority to switch out CP missions now as well as DM because that's equivalent to hitting each other over the head with clubs and requires very little skill and tactical game play.

Granted that this is a screwed up updated, but remember that the devs have been thinking about it ever since they screwed up the score cap and were too arrogant to fix it easily and properly. It took them months to come up with this fix (and introduce a bigger problem).

 

You have to know that it is not possible for the dev pride to revert a bad update. Your only option is to have it fixed (and yet a bigger problem introduced). Now since we are talking about a big problem, you are talking next summer. There will be no TO by then. You will have Tanki X and bigger problems to worry about, so take it easy.

 

The bright side is that it seems there will be no CP mode in TX, think about this update as weaning you off CP so you don't get shocked when you move to TX. Also, it prepares you to be ready for the bigger bugs and issues in TX.

Are you serious?

Unity is meant for gaming. It's technology is much better than Flash's.

There will be less chance of bugs, lags etc unless you try to play with full graphics with Intel Pentium.

To all of those saying the CP update is bad, I say it is not. Before the update, the CP mode was underdeveloped, those making it more profitable for campers, a team could capture all the points, and then spawn kill the enemies in no time, now the battles will be far more dynamic, letting a chance to the losing team to take over some points. I say great update !

PS : Except the expiration time not showing up for kits.  :(

I am more than happy that Tanki Online developers have reworked the items of the garage into folder categories. Thanks a lot. I have been patiently waiting for this new update to come.

 

I am not too happy about the reworked CP mode. Does CP points, earn players crystals and points?

Nope, you get no reward in CP mode now.

 

ofc you get crystals and points! are you fricken stupid???
