Changes in garage and reworked CP

Notice during a CP battle that we initially took the lead for a few minutes at the start.  When the opposing side took control they were able to close the gap as expected (according to the new update)

 

However after they tied the CP score their score continued to increase while ours was continually decreasing.  They took a rather commanding lead before we could turn it around.

 

At what point does the role of the leading team change?

 

If the loosing side can close the gap, tie and then take and increase their lead does this now not make them the leaders.  As such why would our score continue to drop at this point?

 

Makes for a very unpredictable outcome.

Exactly. Now let's say the match starts and blue team takes the lead, 2-0. The system now goes into effect and red team captures the point. the score is now 1-1. Red team keeps the point and the score is 1-2, red in lead. The system swaps side and blue team caps the point, now it's 2-1, blue in lead. Blue team keeps point, score is now 3-1. Red team caps point, system swaps sides, score is now 2-2. This will keep going forever and ever and takes hours to finish with a close score of, let's say, 100-98. Since the scores are very close, most players will receive relatively the same amount of crystals (excluding the winning factor). How is anyone going to find this fun if everyone earns the same number of crystals? The only other factor that would change the outcome a lot is if one team is full of M3 Titan and Mammoth Isida/Twins druggers that keep the point for the majority of the match.

 

I can relate to Dudearoo because once I was in a Polygon CP and my team was winning 99-97. The other team then capped the point and it was 98-98. We then capped it again and got 99-98 and right before it was going to turn 100, the other team capped and held it for a little bit (from my judgement, shorter than we had) and then they ended up winning 100-99 and took the majority of the fund. How, can you (Tanki devs), in any way, call this "reworked/balanced"?

 

Especially since druggers are more prevalent than ever, the old CP was fine. Scores could easily be turned around with drugs. Now, you need drugs to hold the point. -_- Whose brilliant idea was this? Clearly there is a concrete wall blocking your brains from thinking.

Okay, time to review "Changes to Garage and Reworked CP".

 

First off: The garage.

 

Excellent, easy to find the things you need. My only complaint is that it's cropped slightly out of my window, but I'm sure it's just on my endScreen_Shot_2015_12_09_at_11_19_20_AM.jp

 

Other than that, great work.

 

Next: The changes to CP.

 

I'll just say it now, I did NOT like this. I joined a Future CP after the update and it lasted an entire real-life hour.

I will say I earned a lot of crystals from said battle, but that doesn't make up for the lack of sleep.

 

I'll just put it at this: "Why fix what isn't broken?".

Could you imagine this being introduced in CTF? That would kill the game completely

Pahh, another annoying update. But I have already said, in this game you do not play against other players. You play against owners. But dont worry players. Always you will find the drug, against them. Of course, only as long as you have to pay for it to start playing.But there it will reach the end.

Garage changes are OK.

 

The changes to CP for me are not good at all. Played a Pro Polygon CP today and 1000 points later I left with the score pretty much the same as it was when I joined. That battle was to 150 points. Bearing in mind Pro battles have no time limit that battle will probably still be raging when the server update happens!

 

I got a 1000 point CP mission today so I went to RU1 to find a XP/BP Poly CP battle. It was very noticaeable that where I usually would see 50 or more Poly CP I had 5 or 6 to choose from. I'm guessing people don't want to be stuck in a battle for hours at a time. While I'm not against the idea of the leading team's score falling if the don't hold the CP, I think it does need some reworking to make that fall less drastic.

The todays change of sorting by paints is very good.

 

But guns are sorted according to effective range, and hulls according to weight and protection.

 

Would it be possible to sort them according the level of equipment M3->M2->M1->M0

 

I dont need to have on the first garage possitions my Wasp M0 and Hornet M1 while Im playing with TITAN M3 and Viking M3.

And the same bei turrets. I dont want to scroll by change of gun over all M0 or M1 turrets to theThunder or Shaft while my M0 are standing in the front of my garage.

 

Probably it has no sence for the generalissimos becouse they have already most of hulls and turrets in M3, but for lower ranks it would be helpful to help us to find very guick our favourite gun.

Nice update, especially for CP battles. It is preventing one sided battles.

 

Now there is an option for the team to come back from behind. I will also join a battle half way even if the score difference is very high.

 

I don't understand the criticism of crystals getting shared almost equally. If players won't join, how will you have a good battle fund ? After the update, do you see many players leaving after every battle ?

As I said before I dont like this update. But if you have 2 equal teams in battle ( with no mults and saboteur ) you can still gain big fond  :)
