Hello Tankers today i will tell you how to play in Cross Map so lets get started!

                                                                                       STRATEGY

So basicly if you like defending a good choice for you could be HEAVY HULLS something like Mammouth or Titan and a good Turret something like Vulcan.

If you like attacking then a good strategy is get not a Heavy but Neither very Light hull you should get something like Viking or Hornet it could be a great choice if you like  to go for the  enemy flag.

Now basicly a good turret could be Thunder cause it has Splash Damage which is good for a map with lots of walls....Another good choice could be Ricoshet cause it has the bouncing bullet which is good for theese type of maps.

Supplies are also usefull cause if you are a ''drugger'' you can easily go to the enemies base and steal their flag.

Now as a Defender they could be the second most important thing especially when the guy who is trying to attack you has full supplies now for the first thing is equipment which you saw what i wrote in the first and second paragraph

Now if you are a camper and you dont like attacking but just staying in your base and protect it a good idea could be to stick with the defender of your flag or another option could be to go near walls where others need to come close to you to attack you.

A good turret should be Magnum which is the really good for campers you can deal damage to others plus that it has splash damage.Another good choice could be Railgun which is a powerfull weapon especially with drugs... railgun and magnum are the really good choices for this map if you use supplies a lot

Now if a gold box drops and your team is losing just ignore it when everyone is looking for the gold you can go and steal enemy flags and capture them so you maybe reach your enemys score or even get more score than them and win the match..But if your team is winning and has lots of points more that the other team then go hunt for the gold and GOOD LUCK! :)  :)

                                                                                           CAPTURE POINTS

In capture points usually you never know who will win so a good choice for you could be to use supplies a lot and capture all the points also try to not let your enemies capture the points its really important to not let your enemies reach you on CP mode.

                                                                                              Deathmatch

In Cross deathmatch a good choice could be a heavy hull and a turret of your choice but not pick something like Firebird or Freeze or Isida it could be a very bad choice also choices like Magnum could be bad choose whatever you like expect from those i wrote rght now its really important to have a good combination in whatever mode you are

                                                                                     Thanks For Seing This Topic

I hope what i wrote was helpful and made lots of tankers have better advantage on their battles  :D  :D  :D  :D

See You All In The Near Future

                                                                                                      Good Bye

Guide to playing in Cross Map to effectively earn kills for super missions

This is an image of the Cross map. This map is available at the beginning of your military career starting from the Recruit rank. Here is a top view preview of the Cross map.

522px-_Cross1.jpg

Overview

The Cross map has a simple design. It has four houses, two towers, two corners, two long walls and two short walls. These objects are placed on specific places on the Cross map to make it a well balanced map to play on. To make the Cross map regular as a shape, it has been made square so that players can easily navigate and find their way around the map without getting lost when playing various game modes. The Cross map is one of the most popular map because lots of players play on it and this map is unlocked at the rank of Recruit, so your journey from Recruit to Legend, you shall see many battles that are performed on this map.

Best for completing super missions more effectively

Super mission can be hard, long and a tedious task to complete due to the fact that the map you are playing on has too many different elevation levels, obstacles in the way, or the map is simply to large to play on. There are many maps that can be too big because players use slow hulls like Titan, Mammoth. Large maps are also a problem for short range turrets.

Reason for choosing the Cross map

The reason why I have chosen and picked the Cross Map is because it is reasonably small, flat and easy to navigate when chasing players using any different tank combinations such as small, medium and large hulls using any type of turret. This means that there is no time to waste on the battlefield of the Cross Map to find an enemy tank to kill him. On this map, players can make lots of kills and earn lots of crystals faster and grow the battle fund faster than on large maps where players do more driving rather than killing.

DM

I mostly play DM battles on the Cross Map because it is the best and most suitable map for using short, medium and long range turrets. The hull you choose is also the player's opinions, but my preference of hull usage is Dictator, Titan and Mammoth. The DM mode is the best mode to play on the Cross map when completing the 9999 kills super mission. The three following team battles are an excellent choice for when completing 99,999 experience points battles.

TDM

When I use my favourite life saver hero on the battlefield to heal players, I play TDM battles by using Isida to heal players on my team. The Cross map is reasonably flat and can serve as a perfect working ground when saving the life of your team mates on both sides when they continuously fire at each others team. In TDM battles, team member stay put and keep close together, especially when using Isida as your doctor medic in law. The TDM battle mode is like having to play a bodyguard battle because players on the same team usually stay together. Isidas regroup to form a force of nature to help their team lead their way to victory.

CTF

When I have daily missions that involves capturing flags quickly without taking a long journey to find the flag pole, risking getting killed too easily, the Cross map is the best map for playing CTF battles. Of course, you must bring a medic Isida on your team and keep him by your side at all times, healing your damage from enemy fire. The CTF battles are good for those players who likes to battle in a format which is similar to a football team. The score count is made by the number of flags you capture. The more flags you capture against your enemy team, the more likely you are to reaching the title of victory.

CP

The Cross map has 3 CP points that are located on top of the cross bridge. When playing an effective CP battle, players must play on the Cross map and use the diagonal bridge levelling to hide from enemy fire. Then attack your enemy with a suitable turret such as Railgun, Isida, Freeze or Firebird. The cross bridge has been specially designed so that it gives players the ability to reload and lay low during heavy enemy fire. Isida must keep on healing the team in CP battles to help keep the team alive for as long as possible and to enable the team to successfully capture the points. Just remember that the Cross map has 3 control points, so you must divide your team in smaller groups, making sure you have an Isida by your side healing you when an enemy tank is firing at you so that you can successfully capture the control point. The CP mode is the favourite battle mode for Isida players who wants to camp and heal at the same time as capturing a control point.

Assault Mode

The Assault Mode is a battle mode that is only available for player during the Christmas and Happy New Year celebrations. This type of holiday comes in just one holiday format package. That is Christmas day and Happy New Year. The Assault Mode brings a map that can only be available to play on during the Christmas and Happy New Year celebrations. The Assault Mode works by having two team in a team battle. The red team controls a flag and the blue team controls a control point where each control point goes up by +1 point per every passing few seconds, even if there is no player on the control point, the control point continues to go up. Players cannot capture the control point like they do in regular CP battles. This battle mode consists of two battles in one. They are both CTF and CP which are combined and merged into one battle, called Assault Mode. Players on the red team side win by capturing flags from their red team side and then capping the flags onto the blue team side where the control point(s) are located and the blue team side win by fighting off and destroying the players from the red team side, literally stopping them from capping the flag onto the blue team's control point base. The Cross map and all the other maps in Tanki Online does not yet have the Assault Mode incorporated in the maps. The developers have mentioned, quite a few V-Logs ago, that they were going to implement the Assault Mode as a permanent feature in Tanki Online. That would be sometime in the future, probably in early 2018.

Repair Kit

The repair kit is an essential piece of kit that can be very effective on the Cross map for players that wants to resist being killed too often and also for players that don't have an Isida team mate by their side. The repair kit can also be an urgent supply that can keep players alive when trying to catch a gold box during enemy fire. The Cross map has only one repair kit supply box that is located in the middle of the cross bridge.

Double Armor

The double armor has the ability to slice cut 50% off of the amount of damage that you receive by enemies firing at you. The cross map has four double armor boxes that are located very close to the cross bridge on the ground.

Double Damage

The double damage power up supply box is a tool that can help players successfully earn their kill by doubling the amount of damage they deal to their enemy. The supply is used in many situations where there are battles with lots of heavy hulls that can be difficult to destroy with normal firing rate. The Cross map has two double damage boxes located on opposite sides of the cross bridge. Players can take the shortcut to climb on the cross bridge to quickly pick up a double damage box.

Speed Boost

The name says it all. When you pick up a speed boost, it will make your hull drive faster. Players can pick up a speed boost to speed up their hull when moving. Speed boosts are particularly used in CTF battles, and players will keep on using them the escape enemies shooting at the other team to successfully return the captured flag to their team's base. The Cross map has a total of four speed boost boxes that are located on either side of the map where each of the teams re-spawn.

Mines

Mines does not come in the form of a supply drop box. Players can buy units of mines, just as they can do with all the other supply boxes, but mines are mainly earns as a daily gift in daily missions. The Cross map can be a great target for placing mines when supply boxes drop to surprise players with a boom death when running to pick up a supply box. The good news is that mines can be hidden under a supply box that sits on the ground. The bad news is that, when the player who dropped the mine gets killed, the mine disappears. The Cross map has a benefit where players can drop a mine on the side of the map, so when there is an enemy chasing you from behind, drop a mine near the side of the cross bridge and your opponent will drive over it and take damage or even die if low on health.

Gold Box

The gold box is a very rare, but special type of supply box that can randomly drop on any server, any map at a random time. Players can pick gold boxes up by bull-fighting each other and drugging to stay alive to get hold of that precious supply box. The gold box is worth 1000 crystals on normal days, but it reward can expand to 2000 to 10,000 crystals on big events and, especially holiday celebrations. The Cross map has many gold box drop zones that players will randomly hunt to find the gold box. The Cross map is one of the best and most suitable maps to collect gold boxes because this map is reasonably flat, and players can also jump off the cross bridge to quickly zap that gold box. The gold box is a small bonus reward that can be collected by only one player.

Zero Supply Mode (Overdrive)

This amazingly unique piece of supply was once available during the April Fools Day 2017 and the May Holidays of 2017 celebrations. It has been renamed as Overdrive in the May Holidays 2017 with a few tweaks. The visual effects of the Zero Supply Mode (Overdrive) has been changed and tweaked twice during those two holiday events. The Overdrive mode is set to return in Tanki Online soon as a permanent feature in Tanki Online. There are no supply drop boxes for this supply. The Overdrive mode activates all of the player's supplies except gold boxes. Players can use this supply on any map and any battle mode as they wish. Players can use this supply only three times in a 15 minute battle, so when it is fully charged to 100%, it is ready to activate.

One final note!

Ultimate guide to Skyscrapers

By CalofGearva

Hello Tankers!

This is calofGearva, And I will be telling you tips and tricks for playing effectively in  Skyscrapers, one of my favorite maps.  I will be explaining Different tactics for all turrets, Tips for every gamemode, tips for playing xp/bp and Tips for catching gold boxes!  Lets start with tips and tactics for turrets.

Firebird

Firebird is not the most ideal turret for skyscrapers, but it can still be used effectively with a few tactics.

Firebird tactics

Circular strafing

Circular strafing involves driving in circles around your enemy so you take little or no damage, while still destroying them effectively.  This tactic can for the most part not be down in the lower levels of Skyscrapers, bu can be done on most of the building with paths wider than 5 meters (5 meters = one unit in-game).

Corpse shield

Using a "corpse shield", as I call it, is the art of using  the dead shell of a tank as a temporary shield.  You could us this tactic for multiple reasons: Waiting until your repair kit or other supply recharged, for example.

Freeze

Freeze is a very dynamic and interesting turret, and paired  with an interestinly designed map like skyscrapers, it proves for some very fluid gameplay.  Freeze should be mainly used in the lower sections of the map.

Freeze Tactics

Circular starfing

See above in "Firebird tactics"

Corpse shield

See above in "Firebird Tactics"

Isida

Isida's gameplay in skyscrapers is much like Freeze and Firebird's gameplay,  but the healing effect is obviously a game changer in team matches in skyscrapers, so the only point and tactic that is different from firebird and freeze is to use the healing to the best of your ability, all the time.  That is crucial if you would like to win the match.

Hammer

Hammer became a very dynamic turret after it's ricochet effect was added, so either practice with that bounce alot (slower but more effective method), of take out your ricochet and practice with that.  Gameplay with Hammer on skyscrapers is really dependent on  What hul you are using, but the basics are that if you are using a light hull, stay in the lower section of the map, but if you are using a medium or heavy hull, you can, for the most part, stay near the top of the map, except if there are a lot of shafts or railguns around, which in that case the lower areas are much safer for you.

Hammer Tactics

Peek-A-Boo!

This simply involves you popping out from behind a wall just long enough to get a shot off at a nearby enemy, and before anyone can fire at you.  The best hull for this tactic is wasp, being that it is the fastes hull in the game, ad that the turret is offset, or not centered, on the hull.

Ricochet

Though difficult to use on skyscrapers, if used correctly, it can be a complete and utter death machine on the battle field.  Ricochet should mostly stay in the lower levels of the map, where the ricochet effect is most useful and effective.

Ricochet Tactics

"Rolling on the edge"

This is what I call the act of going up up a ramp, pullin back abruptly on the top edge of ramp so your turret levels out at 90 degrees, fire off one or two shots, and popping back into cover so the enemy can not fire at you.

Ramping

This is when you balance or jump off the edge of a ramp, wait until the angle of your turret is just right so you can fire at an unreachable enemy much higher or lower than you.

Twins

Twins gameplay in Skyscrapers mostly includes  knocking off other tank's aim so you can destroy them, and constantly moving around the map, but don't forget about twins slight splash damage!

Smoky

see "Twins" above

Thunder

Thunder gameplay in Skyscrapers is much like ricochet, as the two turrets both have a method to shoot around corners, and are very similar turrets.  Most ricochet tactics can also be use withthunder quite effectively.

Railgun

See "Thunder" and "Ricochet" above

Shaft

Shaft has very interesting gameplay in skyscrapers if you are not camping, or you are being a "mobile sniper".  Usually most shafts want to stay away from the lower areas of the map, except if they are absolute pros with arcade shot, which is possible to learn.  You should try to stay near where thenred flag is, bein that thereis a double damage box riight there for the taking.  another good spot is on the tallest building in the map, next to the blue flag.  The only passage leading up to that building is only one unit wide and can be easily mined.

Shaft tactics

See "Ricochet Tactics" above

Vulcan

Vulcan's gameplay proves to be much like Shaft's gameplay, so go check out "Shaft" above.

Striker

See "Shaft" above

Magnum

There are a few buildings which magnum can effectively hide behind and defend, but yoou should avoid going into the lower levels or moving around alot, being that Magnum's slow reload speed and no rotation of turret can destroy you.

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Skyscrapers Gameplay and tips in different Gamemodes

DM

Skyscrapers DM can prove, at the least, Hectic.  Even though you may think that skyscrapers is a moderately sized map, but it can support alot of players, 20 to be exact.  Usually you will want to use  short range turrets such as Firebird, freeze, or hammer on the lower section of the map, and mostly medium range turrets such as Thunder, Ricochet, Vulcan, or Twins on on the upper section of the map.  You can use Long range turrets such as shaft, but it is very difficult if you are not used to fighting close combat with your shaft or railgun. When moving around alot without wasting your own supplies, you will need to know where all the supply box drops are.

TDM

Skyscrapers TDM is definetly much less hectic than DM, because you have half as many enemies to worry about.  Other than that, the playstyle is mostly the same as DM.

CP

There are only 3 Points in Skyscrapers, contrary to it's size.  The only point on the blue side is completely blocked by a wall on the red team's side, so the blu team does have more cover than the red team, showing that shafts on the red team are slightly less effective than shafts on the blue team, which can use the Peek-A-Boo tactic.  The second Point on the red team's side is has slight cover from a small wall, where red shafts can use the Peek-A-Boo tactic effectively.

CTF

Skyscrapers CTF definetly proves for a dynamicand at the least interesting game.  Both flags are out in the open, but the red flag is more easily defended, while there is one more route to the red flag, so it may be actually harrder to defend.

_______________________________________________________________________

xp/bp

Even though it may not be common, It definetly plays through as an interesting battle.  Ussually the safest routes are the lower section of the map, or what I call "the Maze".  The downside of this route is that you can very easily get lost if you have not memorized your route.  For the higher sections, If you are playing bp, you might be fast enough to avoid being destroyed, or even taking damage on your way there.  The key to escaping and capturing the flag in one piece is to be able to make impossibly long jump from one. platform to another.  The jump need to be long enough so your pursuers will think twice about following you.  Of course, all of these tactics can be transferred to normal Skyscraper CTF matches, especial the jumping tactic.

Gold Box Catching in Skyscrapers

0zcTSFb.jpgThese are all the known gold drops in Skyscrapers.  Most drops in Skyscrapers will not hve any platforms directly above the drop, so the box will not just appear, but actually drop.

Ultimate Guide to Highland

pyc_VnBaRomQ9cMnh2uVWQ.png

Introduction:

Highland is a map for 16 players and consists of the following modes, CTF/DM/CP/TDM and could be accessed by players ranked Gefreiter and above. This is also one of the map that can be played as a PRO and NON-PRO battles.

CTF (Defence):

CTF mode is the most played mode in the game, and this map also appeared in the battle list every single day unlike other maps introduced for this contest, which is why it is so special and it is a MUST to know the tips and tricks to play CTF in this map. So let’s start off with the attacking tips. As seen from the above picture, the numbered spots is for players to defend for both teams, which they have 3 defending points each. So stating off with vintage point 1.

POINT 1 and 5: This is a crucial spot to attack your enemies so that your team-mates are able to attack. So, the best option of turret would be MAGNUM/THUNDER/RAILGUN and hull must be precisely VIKING/TITAN/MAMMOTH. For MAGNUM users, you can easily attack and destroy every single area in the enemy base without getting damaged, and not only that, it will stress your opponent out to consider which protection to choose from as Magnum is indeed an irritating turret in highland as your opponents mostly have protection from FREEZE/FIREBIRD/TWINS/HAMMER. As for THUNDER for both points, you should make perfect use of the hole in-between the walls to aid in your attack. However, there are certain limitations to attack for opponents, for example areas like point 2 in red base and point 3 in blue base. So, a perfect turret to use would therefore be MAGNUM.

HOWEVER, The worse turret to use would be SHAFT in both points. SEE in the map and noticed something? Both areas have a mini path to both vintage points and this could be dis-advantaged to SHAFT user at this point as you might end up getting ambushed by your opponents when in sniping mode, so it is not encouraged to use SHAFT.

POINT 2 and 3: Speaking of SHAFT, even though point 1 and 5 is not suitable, point 2 and 3 does the job for SHAFT users. This plays a crucial point to damage a huge chunk of your opponents trying to get the flag and SHAFT is the second-least turret protection used in this map. At both of these points, even though there are limited access to attack your opponent in the opposite base, however, these players hoarding these points are able to move up and snipe for better view, but this should be done only when there isn’t any opponents. (TIP: Make sure to mine the mini path to point 3 to avoid getting AMBUSHED!

POINT 4 and 5 are recommended for 2 users. For both of this points, you can practically use any turret for defence, like VULCAN/SHAFT/SMOKY/THUNDER/RAILGUN. However, this point is useless to use SMOKY/VULCAN. Why? Smoky damage reduces by distance, and to hit an opponent across the base at point 4 with a smoky 40% protection, at most you are able to deal 100 damage to that opponent or 200 – 300 damage to an opponent without smoky protection. As for Vulcan, there are a lot of obstacles that opponents can hide from Vulcan and drugging is very easy in this map due to it’s small size, so VULCAN is an absolute NO-NO for this map. AND! Be warned. Using both of this locations is a MUST to keep using supplies as everyone can attack you out in the open, so, make sure you have enough amount of supplies! (TIP: Mine both ramps to reduce the chance of going full power with your opponents, which is absolute disadvantaged to you if opponent have a protection from your turret and you does not have any.)

CTF (Attack): So using Blue team as reference, with points 1,3 and 5 all used up by 5 people, there are only 3 people left for attacking, so it is crucial for the attackers to be backed up by an isida. Some of you may notice that there are still some spots for defenders using MAMMOTH and TWINS at blue base, but, this space should only be utilised if defender using point 3 if many people changed to SHAFT protection. Those 3 that are attacking, they should not defend as defending in a CTF mode in tie conditions, you are bound to lose. Attack FOR THE WIN! People using point 1 and 5 should get ready to assist in getting the flag in case flag catcher dies.

With all these, good luck to you guys playing CTF in highland!

In summary for CTF: As seen, blue base is the best for playing in Highland due to the amount of large spaces compared to red base, which smaller the base = Magnum getting good damage to all enemies.

TDM/DM:

For both of this mode, the tips are relatively very simple. The following is the best combination to be used for this map, as well as the worse.

TOP 4 turrets: 1STTWINS, 2ND FIREBIRD, 3RD RAILGUN and 4TH THUNDER (TDM only)

TOP 2 HULLS: 1st MAMMOTH 2ND VIKING

WORSE TURRET: 1ST SHAFT 2ND RICOCHET 3RD SMOKY

WORSE HULL: Same order: Hornet, wasp, dictator and hunter.

Dictator chosen as the worse as it is tall in size, which makes it easy to shoot at it from high grounds. Light hulls are also out of talk for this as it is easily destroyed, making it not useful to play. Thunder is for TDM only due to its slow reload, which sometimes result in a steal kill  by other players.

CP:

For this mode in highland, there is only one control point, so ending the game is abit harder in this case. As such, for this mode, I recommend every single one to use heavy hull instead of light and middle hulls since there is not a need to rush and take flag. In this mode, everyone would be able to save the nitro supply since it will not play any part for this mode. Players should be divide into 2 separate mini team in their respective team. Splash damage turret is very suitable for people shooting from a vintage point, as seen from above picture it would be vintage point 4 and 5. Best turret for people defending would be MAGNUM and THUNDER. For the attackers, it is best to use a no reloading turret, and it should be fast, and that turret would be TWINS with heavy hull. Firebird is an alternate choice for twins, but, if your opponent used a repair kit or have plenty of isida, firebird is useless in this case and usually for CP mode, there would be a lot of fire protection in use, so refrain from using firebird if you have twins. Everyone should coordinate well in and 4 and 4 mini teams in the own team, so not everyone gets destroyed together at the CP point.

GOLDBOX:

As seen from the above picture of gold-box drops, there are a total of 10 gold box drop point, and this can be said as a good map to catch gold-boxes due to its small size and it can be seen immediately where would the gold box fall, and with 16 players, it is have the perfect amount of people fighting for gold box. From the location, there are 6 total point that are super advantageous to players with light hull, which means they can fly through the air by jumping off platforms to catch gold boxes! Overall, highland is a good map to catch golds as well.

Hopefully i win this contest :) Took me 2 hours to write this and thinking very hard what to write using my experience :)

Highland Image

--Guide To Highland--

Highland is a map perfect for team battles, with healing and mine spots, an intense central battlefield and sniping spots for the cheeky player

--CTF/CP/TDM-- --Team Strategies-- --Blue Team--

Player 1.

This player is the ultimate sniper, sitting next to the tankionline billboard in Highland. Best for CTF battles this player will constantly fire a vulcan or shaft shot (using supplies preferably) defending the flag.

This player will not move from his position and mine around his/her certain area.

Player 2.

This player is the healer.

Any isida will be helpful for team battles by helping out the team by healing your players..

This player will patrol his/her base while not coming in to the other base a great amount while moving around finding damaged tanks to heal.

In certain situations the isida can push in and heal his/her teammates with the flag.

Isida M2 will do the job well but any isida level will work.

Player 3.

The Beef Tanker.

This player will be constantly in the center, with a weapon choice of: Thunder, Ricochet, Freeze, Firebird, Twins or Hammer.

This player will support the flag carrier, and beat the enemy team with it's hardcore damage. If you want a lot of kills choose this player!

Player 4.

The flag catcher. This player will have to use supplies if the enemy team are experienced. The player can sneak by jumping off the ledge to their base, or run through with a slightly heavier tank, such as viking, dictator or hunter.

--Gold Boxes--

There are many ways to catch golds, but I will only tell 3 for this guide. Always use supplies for gold boxes such as armor and speed.

1. Wasp on top.

If there is a ledge available, use wasp with the speed boost ability to jump onto the crowd of tanks. This won't work some of the time but it's a great way to catch a gold.

2. Dictator push.

Dictator is a tank with a massive hitbox so it's easy to take golds!

A certain way is to charge in, hoping to push out players, or slide on top of them and a take an easy gold.

3. Killer Troll.

DO NOT DO THIS. THIS IS EVIL.

Here's a guide for it!

Use striker.

When the gold is dropping, hold space and lock onto a player. If the splash damage kills everyone, run in and take a gold.

Keep up a positive attitude while playing so you feel determined to win the battle. Enjoy victory in highland!

How to play on highland effectively?

There are to ways to play effectively on highland.

The first way is support stand on the hill and chose either shaft, thunder, rail gun e.t.c.

Using Shaft you can camp and use Mammoth to provide support.

Using Rail gun you can provide support or go upfront and so is with

Thunder just maintain some distance as to not get hit by splash damage while using

Rail gun or Thunder use Hornet. But my recommendation is rail gun.

The second way is going up front by using smokey, hammer, isida, firebird e.t.c.

Dont have explanation for each gun but pro tip Go fast with and try to turn your turret rather than your hull.

Best is Smokey and Wasp.

Note. These advices are most effective in CTF

Guide For Playing In Siege Effectively

Siege Map : 200px-Siege.jpg200px-Siege_winter.jpg

So Tankers ! Siege Is A Big Map. It Has A total of 24 players.

Each Team Has 12 Tankers. After Magnum Came in the game,

The map was changed a bit as another hill was added at top of The Hill. Siege Map Was Created By A Player Named Stefman

Its Available At 25px-IconsNormal_09.pngFirst Sergeant

Note : Make Sure You See ScreenShots As They Describe

all positions And Tactics For Defence/Attck.

                         CTF MODE

Blue Team Has an advantage compared to red.Magnum can aim easily at the opponent team as the defence of red team is right behind the hill. I recommend isida or Magnum for red team. 023t1AfvRCyPrVzeyO2JBw.png This ScreenShot shows you the The position of magnum that where should we should a magnum stay and where to aim.

If you want to defend for youre team, Firebird/Freezer May Be Used.

Right Next To The Blue Flag There is A wall, Use Firebird or freezer to defence. Make sure you use Hornet or wasp Under Firebird and freezer So You Can Chase The Enemies Who Run With Flag By Chance

Gz9s_Vs1QoeFvcgk_2pUng.png Shows The Position Of Your Tank Behind The Wall.Freeze Can Slow Down Enemies Who Take Flag And Mostly Enemies Are Stopped or failed to take flag.

Railgun Is A Good Choice As all red marked spots in the picture are for railgun .Railgun Should Be Camping Here,DXNPyMc9Qu6sKZ52L8RjNA.png

The Position For Railgun/Shaft To Camp And Kill The Enemy Team.Shaft And Railgun Can Be Used to do a lot of damage to enemies at 1 shot so railgun can kill enemies before Approaching Your Base. Use All These Tips In Siege For BLUE TEAM ONLY.

 Red Team

If Youre Deciding To Defend For your Team, Choose a big hull and a fast reload Turret, For This Team {Defence}

I recommend you to take Titan And Smoky Or Mammoth and smoky. This Picture Shows That How You Should Defend For youre team 1x5GWoudTtipAkQdIx6kbw.png

Place Mines At The Sides Where Enemies Approach Your Base SO They Have Little Health Or No health Left

Smoky Is  a Good Choice As You Can Deal A Lot Of Damage To Enemies. Critical Shot Deals A Lot Of Damage.

Ask Your Team To Take Isida So They Can Heal You When You Get Shot. Besides Smoky You Can Also Use Thunder And Striker.

If You Want To Defence With A long range gun And Camp, This Spot Is Best As Double Damage Drops Here

You Can Kill Tanks 1 Shot . If You Have Supplies ,Whats Better Than That, You Can Kill All , Finish 1st And Get A Good Amount Of Crystals And Experience Points.pmm_6EMfSlaV08yFx9qL7w.png

Shaft Here Is A better Choice At This Spot As It Has A Greate Damage And Mostly All Huls Except Titan And Mamoth Get 1 shot.Use Viking/Hornet And Hunter under shaft/railgun.All Railguns Deal A Pleasent Amount of damage to Enemies So rails.shafts are the best choice for this kind of map.

Best Combo For Attcaking/Defence Are Hunter/Hammer. Hide Behind The House in The Middle. Kill Approaching

Enemies. TeamMates Who Attack And Luckily Are Successful To bring The Flag Till The Middle, Cover Them Till They Reach Your Base. The Position for The Hammer/Hunter Should be 7QJVwmuOQfyN8KZ0NyBfoA.png

All Aproaching Enemies Can Be Killed And A little Bit On Mining Can Gain You A High Score And Give You A Good Win For youre Team.

CP Mode

For This Mode , I recommend You The hull Viking And Turret Twins/Isida/Hammer.

Use Twins And Viking To Attack And Make Sure Your Team HAS a isida. Hammer Is Also A Good Choice But It reloads.Twins Is The BesT Choise as there Is Splash Damage to and twins damage is increased

Isida healing you  gives alot support.

1oF9ezHISZOBrMHb18AG-Q.pngYou Should Have A Isida Behind You So Its Always Behind To Heal You Capture points. Use small range Turrets To Play IN This Map It Helps Alot.Hammer is also good in this mode.

But If You want To Keep The Point Under Your Control You Should Take A bIG Hull And Turret Like Mammoth/Smoky Or Striker.

An Example Of Guarding Point is

sszPi8I6QCaS1dyPxo63QQ.pngGuard The Point And Let Noone Capture Use Some Mines So Noone Can Come Around it.

If You Have Supplies , You Can Wreck The other team easily and that will lead into a good win for your team.

So Go Win Some Matches And Good Amount OF Crystals and Experience.

         TDM Mode

For This Map, i Recommend you Isida, You Can Heal others and win easy experience points and good battle funds. Use other turrets like Twins and kill other tankers while isida is healing you.ohD3KxdKQF6C-ZnTOFQscg.png

Heal people Who are drugging as they kill more people and killing more people leads to a good win.

You Can finish 1st easily. Isida has good damage so you can kill enemies easily and with using supplies you win the match easily. Use CTF Tips here to and kill enemies.

DM Mode

Use Titan And smoky as its a good combo and Smoky is good for stealing kills. Smoky is strong to.

Find a good camping spot and start killing and earning good experience points. Titan has good health and armor. Find a spot where there are supplies drop zones. One spot  at the corner

. Mine the Spot around where enemies enter.

LS6XL8-MQqm0qSJiOqicFw.png

Mine around the area. The spot Where im camping has double armor around to.

So I Can use supplies are finsih 1st and get good funds easily. You can improve your K/D Ratio easily to

:D   :D   :D

Another way is to use Twins/Hunter/Viking. Find a place and camp

use supplies and kill all other like i did i marked the area limit.

Ylx7qh8XTGuyL5l7Une_0A.pngi stay at only this place as many people spawn here and you can kill them all .

I Use supplies to kill all enemies and earn experience and good amount of crystals

Use These Tips to play more effectively

I hope you like my guide

        Hi Guys !!!

Today I am going to advice all beginners or amatuers how to play like a proffessional on the cross battle station.

Guns

First of all i would like to tell you about the the guns which are the best at cross battle station.

1  Firebird gun

2  Vulcan gun

3  Magnum gun

Hulls

Second you should choose one of these hulls to play like a pro at cross battle station.

1  Wasp hull

2  Hunter hull

3  Titan hull

I should tell you that every proffessional has his or her strategies that he will use in the battle

1 CTF Battles (Capture the flag)

CTF Battles are the best battles if you are are looking for crystals.I have got one strategy which is 1 in a 100 000. First equip the firebird gun and with it equip the wasp hull. If you are going to capture some flags go underneath the bridges sneak up to your enemy flag and quickly take it and use a speed boost and a double armor. On the way back try to go underneath the bridges again. Dont engage in a fight unless you capture the flag. If you have the enemy flag but you find that your flag is not there hide behind a big  pole_like_thing beside your flag position. Dont come out untill your flag is returned.

2 TDM Battles (Team death match)

3 DM Battles (Death match)

TDM Battles and DM Battles require some heavy destruction so you may equip any of the 3 guns and hulls i have listed but please dont equip the wasp hull.if you are equipping the magnum gun then move your tank to the to sided walls under the bridge. Take your camera to the most highest position and bring in the rain of heavy shells. If you are going to equip the vulcan or the firebird you need to stat on the bridge and if you are a vulcan then too stay on the bridge but fire at the enemy from a distance because the damage of the vulcan is not that impressive.

4 CP Battles (Capture points)

CP Battles require lots of intelligence which i see lots of the tankers have these days. You can equip any of the hulls and guns which i have listed but if you are playing to win dont equip the magnum. There are 3 points in the Cross battle station. If you see an enemy tank with a heavy gun who is capturing a point then attack it from behind with a firebird or a vulcan. While you are capturing a point move the turret of your tankand start shooting at the enemy tank which's target is you.

This is all from me, hope you will follow my advices and become a proffessional. Galaxy you are the boss and please accept my friend request which i am going to send you!!!

Guide to play in Skyscrapers map

200px-Skyscrapers.jpg

Size of  the Map

Length: 43

Width :32

Area  :1376

A few things about the map

Skyscrapers map is one of the biggest in Tanki Online. It is available for tankers  whose rank is First Sergeant  or bigger. The maximum number of tankers who can play here is  20 (10vs10).

                                                          Games modes

                                                 DM

DM mode is is awesome and  a good experience for tankers. You   should choose  between the  ''Long  shootng '' tactic and the ''Close   shooting'' tactic. For the first one you need  a   big strong  hull  f.e. Mammoth . It should  be upgraded   and fast so you can find  a good place to shoot other tanks. For the second strategy you must use a  small  hull which is fast .You should avoid the shooting tanks so it's good to hide among  the buildings.

                                               Recommened turrets

                   Long Sh.: Shaft,Vulcan,Magnum,Railgun,Sriker

                  Close Sh. :Firebird,Freeze,Hammer,Railgun

                                                TDM

For tactics and turrets see DM  mode.

The  team shold a Defence role.    At least 5 tanks should follow the Long Sh. tactic. The team may kill more often and the best thing:They take  good rewards.

                                                          CTF

It is essential a good tactic here. The tanks should combine both attack and defence role. The attacking tanks sould have a Wasp upgraded hull so they can run away from the other's team tanks. For tactics and turrets see DM  mode.

                                                         CP

  See  CTF mode.

                                                         Gold box

Gold boxes  here is a case  for attacking tanks. You should have a Viking hull so you can run fast and be strong. The best hull for a mid-tank.

P.E. The defencing tanks should change into a Viking with a turret from 'Close Sh.' tactic.

                               Parkour

The most interesting mode.It is neccesary a Railgun here  so  it can explode  you in the sky. Remember also to have aTwin or better a Striker so it can push you more. Finally if you are the climber you should have a Hammer  or a Ricochet .

That's all I had.I hope it  will be useful ecause it helped me in this battle.

Hello Tankers ! i will say to you the best way on how to be pro on the places that are given but for now im gonna be using the map HIGHLAND so the turret you should always use are shaft and magnum . I know magnum is kinda hard to use but you will get used to it ! i recomend shaft because its easy to use and its better if you hide at the blue flag's left part and the red flags right part . When using magnum you usually need to turn you turret up so you can shoot . You need to use the walls of Highland so that you can hide and not die easily.

About Fort Knox

Overview: Fort Knox is more popular amongst new players. No one knows, why experienced players don't choose this map anymore.
Battle modes: DM, TDM, CTF, CP
Size- 7v7, 14 Players

Tactics

DM
Death match in Fortknox feels different in other maps, because of its low popularity amongst experienced players. This is multiple tactics you can choose from.
"Defend corner" Tactic
In order to pull off this tactic effectively, you need a few things.
  • High damage turret with fast reloading, which can be used in close-mid range (Isida, Twins, Ricochet, Firebird, Freeze, Hammer, Smoky) and hull with a lot of health.
  • Have a few suplies on hand, Double damage, repair kit and mines will be your best friend.

Area marked with RED is location for double damage which you need to get, else it will be used against you, and you don't want that.
Area marked with BLUE, is where you want to be.
Fvyl9-etQi6Tf0aRNsU5xw.png
"Hit and Run" tactic
This tactic is much more different and will get you killed. Be unpredictable, steal a kill and run away using corners to gain advantage, if you have short range turret, use corners to escape or trap enemy, because Fort Knox is small and compact map and there is no way to hide from firebird or freeze, once they have got you.
Way marked with RED is quicker, but might get you killed
Way marked with green is safer as you will be unpredictable
PVgjAZaRTZ2n_ybcuvxT9g.png

TDM
Defence
For this game mode mid-short range turrets work the best, because bases aren't large and you can hide behind a house or have friend with you and use shaft to defend the broken wall
Offense- Get magnum and shoot at enemies in short range, as they cant touch you, you are immortal a long as you have your back safe.
You can kill anyone in green area, but you must protect the red area as much as you can. Once enemies are there, you may die.
bfG525v_SxunBmlATndqcg.png
But if you don't have magnum, you can try other turrets, such as smoky, thunder, railgun, twins and shoot from both sides of the base, as it provides you good view of enemy base, but never attack using the gate, because you will get yourself surrounded pretty fast.
AbJrT9EBRSSxTIpk_C_Y4Q.png
CTF
Offense
Offense is basically the same as it is for Team Death Mach, except someone needs to distract enemies, while teammate grab the flag. Its also good to surround enemies attacking 2 by 2 from both sides. When enemies are under control, the rest of team can attack from middle

Defense
Its recommended, to have freeze placed behind the house next to flag and mobile isida located behind tower, in case team needs health, it can help them and freeze can slow down enemy invaders till the rest of team joins and finishes off defenseless frozen tanks.

Stealing the flag
When coming to enemy base, be silent, don't shoot at anyone, if you see enemy, don't shoot but hide. To hide from enemy, you can use slope in their base to hide below it. You don't want attention you don't need to, as long as you are not distraction for enemies.
Be unpredictable, use corners to gain advantage, remember where supplies are. It may cost you more time, but also give better chances of capturing enemy flag.
way marked as GREEN is the way which may confuse enemy and guaranteed capture.
With brown and green area markers are places where supplies drop.
With BLUE marker is shown area where you can hide
HrMYYUqdSzeOH02v95lFuw.png

CP
CP is as any other map, keep yourself safe and capture the point while behind the cover, if possible. For this game mode it recommended to use mid range guns or smoky, because of their fast reloading and devastating damage.

Guide to playing in Cross effectively

see also: Guides for Maps

About Cross

Overview: Cross is a small-medium map featuring semi-symmetrical map design and a heightened bridge through the middle. Common among lower ranks for its simplicity and introduction of common obstruction and minor height variation into the game, this map does not take too much to learn, but takes much to master.

Battle modes: DM, TDM, CTF, CP

Size: 7v7, 14 players

Tactics

DM

Due to the medium size of this map and the nature of deathmatch battles among the Tanki Online community, camping near the middle or outskirts of the map with turrets such as Ricochet, Smoky, Thunder, Twins, and Railgun oftentimes results in the collection of many kills. Staying perfectly still for too long may allow you to succumb to multiple attacks from different directions simultaneously, so it is recommended to at least occasionally swap positions or charge someone in another camping position. Most of the combat on this map is in close quarters, so heavy hulls or heavier medium hulls (Hunter, Dictator, Titan) in the right hands result in great outcome. Ricochet shines bright in its ability to bounce shells and its shots' great ability to fire across bridges as a result of the gun depression. This allows you to, assuming no forces are present behind you, shoot directly into any area of the middle of the map without exposing too much more than your turret. You may also fire throughout the middle of the map without encountering problems with the grey walls placed near spawn zones due to the fact that your shells are capable of ricocheting off of said walls. Twins and Smoky's great ability to provide consistent damage mounted atop a hull capable of charging can succeed as an aggressive unit. Thunder's splash damage along the common camping areas and, alike that of Smoky, its ability to provide consistent damage prove it very useful both when sitting still and when trying to take a position from another player. Railgun's ability to steal kills and deal large amounts of damage allow it to succeed in peek-a-boo fighting near the corners of the map. However, without a decent amount of health, you can easily be charged, as your damage is neither consistent nor reliable when consistency is necessary. Staying near the middle proves beneficial due to the dropping of a Repair Kit close nearby. The edges lack said access to supply boxes. Upon the occasion that you respawn near the middle of the map, underneath the central bridge, your access to supply boxes before reentering a position is granted, but to a limited extent. If you respawn near the outskirts, but not near a corner, it is recommended to either try to take a corner or try to run from the corners, hence the placement of the speed boost drop zone.

TDM

TDM gameplay is somewhat similar to DM gameplay in many respects. In Team Deathmatch, due to the size of the map, charging the central bridge top oftentimes brings the best possible results. Going along the sides of the map, in cover due to the small gaps between the outer walls and the bridge, or underneath the aforementioned bridge, brings you to the enemy respawn zone. However, in order to fire at your respawning enemies, you must make yourself vulnerable. This definitely encourages peek-a-boo fighting, and therefore, suppose you like the idea of taking the role, allows for successful play of Viking, Hornet, and Wasp if you use a high-damage-per-shot turret (Railgun). Vulcan may be successful as well, as charging is not always necessary, but camping definitely is if the central bridge is taken and supported by your team. The corners are no longer necessary points along which to lie, for they are made obsolete by the domination provided by the central bridge. Using the left- and right-most parts of the bridge rather than the center allows for more vantage over enemies attempting to charge from anywhere on the map. There are houses near the bridge, however, which may obstruct your ability to shoot cross-map.

CTF

In Capture The Flag matches, light hulls gain much more prominence and importance, as they are given the best opportunity to deliver flags. Heavy and heavier medium hulls are now given the ability to back up those carrying flags, as well as charge much more than they would in TDM. Aggressiveness is key. Having mid-range turrets atop medium hulls allows for you to chase down enemies attempting to get away with your flag, whereas heavy tanks with mid-range turrets may try to back up their own carriers from the bridge, attacking all that attempt to chase them down. Isida becomes a great turret, especially atop a medium hull, to have near the middle of the map and one's own flag. It can heal the camping players of damage they take from putting themselves in such vulnerable positions, and, when situated aside its own flag, heal the carriers of flags and defend the base. Short-range turrets are suitable for attacking the enemy flag, especially atop medium and light hulls. Underneath the bridge no longer lies a hotspot for peekaboo tactics; rather, a path along which flag carriers can run back to their own base. Those desiring pure kills may also spawnkill by camping behind the bridge. Escorting flag carriers is simple to plan, but somewhat difficult to execute. Having a medium hull with either Isida, Smoky, or Hammer atop it situated underneath the bridge, and having the flag carrier run underneath the bridge aside the aforementioned teammate, can lead to the execution of any enemies chasing the carrier and, suppose the teammate uses Isida, may heal the carrier of any damage encountered whilst attempting to escort the enemy flag to their own. Crossing the map through the outskirt edges is particularly useful when attempting to run to the enemy flag, but not the best idea when running with it. If the enemy has anyone underneath the central bridge or atop it, it is unlikely you will succeed in the escort of the flag. It is also possible to spawn on the enemy's side of the central bridge. If this happens, it's probably a good idea to run underneath the paths leading atop the bridge and either come back to your own base or begin ripping apart the enemy base. There is not one combination of turret and hull that serves no use when playing CTF on this map.

CP

Alike to that of TDM, charging should be one's primary focus. This map holds 3 points, A, B, and C, so, unless you are significantly behind the enemy team, you only need 2 points to win. All points are along the center of the map. If all three points are held, you are much better off splitting your forces between underneath the bridge and atop it - the peekaboo fighting mentioned in TDM games could be utilized upon that happening to ensure few players make it to the top of the bridge. If less than 3 points are held, charging to the top of the bridge and holding at least 2 points should be a team's main priority. The drop zones atop the central bridge are no longer available due to the presence of the Control Points, so diving from atop the bridge to underneath the bridge may be more feasible, albeit somewhat risky of a decision. An alternate tactic to charging would be utilizing the narrow paths near the outskirts of the map to kill or harm enemy players as they spawn with a mid- to long-range turret (Smoky, Railgun, Vulcan, Thunder, etc). This would not present the opportunity to easily access the Control Points should they be lost to the enemy, but would damage them before they have the opportunity to fight for the points. A mix of both charging and outskirt camping can prove especially useful here. Light hulls should not be used until all three points are taken over by one team, for it is too easy for them to die. Viking is a reasonable substitute, as it still has a low profile, has enough speed to reliably make it around the map, and has enough health to tank it out with other enemies.

We all love the map highland, well at least the ones that know how to play on it. So for you players out there that don't like or aren't good at playing on the map highland then this may help you with your strategy. I will be telling you how to effectively play on this map.

To start off it will help to be magnum for CTF mode, this will allow you to hide behind the many walls and buildings to shoot up and over the walls. It would help to have an isida by you at all times. If you are an attacker than I would choose twins and Viking which will demolish everything in its path.

In CP mode you want to have something fast but powerful to survive close range attacks along with magnum strikes from above. Titan is fast and very stong so that works great as a hull but for a turret you need something that deals damage to more than one tank at a time but doesn't have splash damage at close range. With that in mind firebird or freeze would be ideal for the situation. I would also help if you had a isida to heal you when you are by points.

Third in TDM mode you might just want to stay back and heal the attackers. It will improve your XP and keep your teams death very low so isida would therefore work very well. It would work well with wasp or hornet so you could get to places faster to heal.

Last in DM mode you would want a fast reloading close range combo. Firebrd would be a good choice. You would need a strong hull to help you last long but a fast one to run or attack. So the Viking would work well.

I hope this help you players out there that need some help getting into the map highland without being nervous or afraid of other players. Now that you know good tips you should be able to win every battle.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------                                                                                                                                           MODES

                                                                                  DEATHMATCH

                                                                       dm.png

DM mode in Highland is very effective . You can earn a lot of points (kills) in -Highland. Their are some Turrents and hulls combination in Highland for DM.

You must be using :

Thunder-Viking  ,  Smoky-Titan ,  Freeze-Hornet  , Fire-Wasp .

Drug advantage for DM

If you are using drugs, You should be staying near to a Repair kit box. Then your life will be 3x more. If You are hiding and killing use only Double Damage.

Gold Box in DM

If you want to catch gold box , use Dictactor. Then you will be more powerfull.

Specials

If you use Freeze, Just round up the enemy . So they will not be able to move

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

CTF

The best combo to have guarding your flag would be Mammoth Or Titan paired with Twins,Hammer or either Freeze. They are not only hard to kill, but Freeze slows down the enemy giving you more chance to kill him,and the Twins constant firing means you can move from enemy to enemy without having to reload. Also,Hammer is great choice, because it deals a lot damage on the enemy.Mining the base is great way of defending because mines can deal a lot of damage, and they're giving you opportunity to kill your enemy faster

Attack

Firebird or Freeze are really great weapons on attack, because it can burn/freeze multiple enemies at once and it has it's signature burning/freezing effect which means it is perfect for getting into base and wiping out the enemies defence.Another good weapon is Hammer, because it has high damage and quick shot speed, but it's clip reload is slow so you need to be fast.Viking,Hunter or Hornet are great hulls to attack with.Viking is incredibly stable, has a great health to speed ratio and sometimes you can sneak under other tanks that have their front off the ground and take a flag quickly.Hunter is also great choice,it has great punishing power, meaning you can shove other tanks out of the way.

CP

The tactics for CP are almost always same, get to the point and try hold is for as long as possible. The most effective hulls for this would be Titan and Mammoth because they are hard to push and have incredible big power.A Mammoth/Twins or Vulcan/Isida are always visible in this format. An Isida always comes in handy, especially while holding the point,so don't be afraid to ask someone to take Isida, because it could be difference between winning and losing a close match. If you're not planning to go on point, great choice would be Ricochet,Magnum or Thunder paired with Viking.

Camping in CTF

Camping is for noobs? No it is not.Shaft and Mammoth is the best for camping.

Things to Do if you use rail

: your powerful rail gun can flip your tank or you can use it to land perfectly from a high jump
2: never go out of cover until the rail gun is about to shoot.
3: don't attack enemy flag
4 :find your point of effect
5: kill stealing is never been easier, just wait until enemy get hit once or twice then strike him.
6: your shot can go through tanks try to hit more then one target.
7: avoid twins and smoky ricochet thunder shoots they make you miss.
8:rail gun damage changes depending on the shot position best shooting position is to hit your enemy from above it will deliver a great damage then a normal hit !
9: hit the enemy druggers when they are just using their health pack.

Guide to Playing Effectively in Highland

Greetings tankers, welcome to the guide to playing effectively in Highland. This page is guaranteed to increase your general knowledge on the map.

Overview

  • Map

  • Gold Boxes

  • Supplies

  • Modes

Map:

Available at: Gefreiter

Death Match: Max players: 16

Team Death Match: Max players: 8 players ( per team )

Capture Points:  Max players: 8 players ( per team )

Capture The Flag: Max players: 8 players ( per team )

Highland is adored by many tankers globally. The small size of the map and its large player capacities allow for intense battles. Plants around the map provide decent camouflage while in battle. The strategically placed hiding spots enable you to use them to your advantage. Generally, most tank combos are equally effective in this map based on the way you use them.

Gold Boxes:

Highland is a perfect map to catch gold boxes if you like catching golds while airborne. As usual, try to use combos which consist of dictator or wasp. Dictator allows for size advantage, and wasp gives you a better chance of getting on other tanks. Always be prepared for gold to drop, have a few of each supplies at hand.  Once you are notified that a gold box will drop, try to get on a high surface near the drop zone. If there are many competitors for the gold box at the same area as you, try to get on top of them. This will provide a height advantage. When the gold box is at level with your tank, drive off and take it. If the gold box is on a flat surface with no elevated areas near it: try to use a light or heavy tank combo. If you have a light combo, try to climb onto other tanks to get a better chance of taking it. If you are using a heavy tank combo, try to use its size to your advantage and plant yourself directly onto the drop zone. Another alternative to a heavy tank combo is to push the other tanks by their sides and and attempt to take the gold box.

Supplies:

Assorted supplies drop in various locations all over Highland. If you are playing DM, try to take supplies that will specifically enhance your tank combo. If you have a light tank with short ranged turret, try to take double armor as it will be a major advantage to your speed. If you have a long ranged turret with heavy hull, try to take double damage as most long ranged turrets do lots of damage but take a while to reload. If you're playing TDM/CP/CTF, try to take supplies that match your playing style. For example if your playing style is defence, try to use double armor as this will decrease the chances of you being killed by an attacker. If you're an attacker ( CTF ) try to get the following supplies: double armor and speed. This will give you a large advantage while taking the flag. It might also help if you have a repair kit too. While playing ( CP ) try to take double damage as this will enable you to kill large clusters of enemy tanks gathered at certain points. ( TDM ) If you're playing TDM, try to get supplies that adapt to your playing style and tank combo.

Modes:

Capture the Flag:

Before you begin playing, think about your position, it can be either attack or defence. If your looking to attack, use a combo with a fast hull ( wasp, hornet ) and try to use short ranged turrets. When attacking, Go around the map and not through the center to keep your health bar full. use double armor and speed to aid you. Try to make sure no defenders are around. When you go for the flag try to get around the side of the map to evade attackers, then once you've made it go ahead and capture the flag. If you're defending, try to use a heavy hull with any turret. Try to stay close to the flag and pick off any attackers in your vicinity. Make sure that there is an isida on your team to heal any defenders that are damaged.

Capture Points:

When playing CP, try to use a combo with a heavy hull with any turret. When attackers are at a point try to kill as many as you can as this will give you XP and some time to capture that point. Once you capture a point, stay nearby to kill anyone trying to obtain that point. Make sure that there is an isida on your team to heal damaged tanks.

Team Death Match:

When playing team deathmatch, try to use a heavy hull and minimize your deaths. If everyone on your team has more kills than deaths, you are guaranteed to win. Try to use and long range turret and heavy hull in this game mode. Use the camouflage and hiding spots provided to minimize your deaths.

Death Match:

When playing deathmatch, try to use heavy hulls with any tank combo. Try to remain in  a spot that is less frequented by other tanks. Always try to kill the pre damaged tanks to earn a higher score. If you use supplies, and they have to reload, try to find a hiding spot to pass the time until they reload. This way you will always have supplies that are ready.

Thanks tankers for taking the time to read this guide. I hope it will help improve your skill in Highland.

Hey Tankers!

Today I will be giving you tips on how to always WIN on the map, Highland.
In this short guide, I will also be teaching you how to master this map with different tank combos, while giving attack and defense tips & combos too. This guide will hopefully add to your knowledge and help you do play lots better on Highland.

If Any of you have not seen or played Highland, I suggest you watch this video for a quick tour

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x8FTIf-FB1o

1. Farming Kills

Modes: CTF, DM, TDM & CP

Attacking Combos & Tactics: Highland is a cleverly structured map, with two higher spots in the two corners of the map. Turrets such as Shafts, Strikers, Magnums & Vulcans normally camp up there, and have big, slow hulls. Grab a Freeze & a quick hull (e.g Hornet), and go and give them a surprise. Go around the side of the map and up onto where the tanks sit sniping and use the classic tactic of circling them while freezing them. This combo also allows you to keep up a high k/d (kill to death ratio) and can keep you alive and Farming kills for a while before a single bullet hits your hull.

At the end of the day, if you don't have freeze or it's not upgraded enough, grab another short-range turret and a quick hull and use similar tactics as explained above.

What not to do: an example of a bad highland combo would be the turret railgun and the hull mammoth. People with quick and agile combos such as Freeze & Hornet, will end up circling you. Even worse, the railgun takes time to reload, and unless if you are in a quick hull your going to end up losing points.

Defending Combos & Tactics: Combos such as the turret Twins and the hull Mammoth (or any other heav-ish hull), is great for keeping enemies from capturing flags, points and Farming Kills. Although some hulls may be lots faster than you, Twins constantly shoots so you don't have to worry about reloading, so when you have lots of enemies coming from all directions you can just keep shooting them.

Collecting or drugging a 'Double Damage' or 'Double Armour' box can help greatly increase how much power the gun has, and how much the hull is protected. If you have a double protected hull, and it's the most protected hull in the game, even if you have multiple players on you, you could probably take them all off you. (You can collect these boxes in a match, buy them from the shop, or collect them from missions)

As Highland has not many places for people to hide from you, with lots of advantage points, using a Shaft is always a good idea.

2. Extra ways of gaining Points/Kills

Modes: DM, TDM, CP, CTF

Playing with a friend or teammate: Say you take a combo the same as or similar to the Twins & Mammoth  combo. If you have a friend that can back that up with an Isida turret, and a medium-protected hull (such as Viking or Hunter), Boom. You go around into an enemy area with full protection, and with an Isida backing you up if anyone dares to have a go at you.

Gaining lots of xp/points: Instead of you being the big guy with an Isida backing you up, you be the Isida! Most enemies spawn in the same area on Highland (at the far end of each side). If you have a tank that's not lots more upgraded than others on the enemy team, you will find it hard to stay alive for long without something backing you up.

Highland is also one of the smaller maps on the list of Tanki Online maps. Meaning you can easily and quickly go around healing people as they are all in a smaller and more confined area. Backing a big tank up with many tanks shooting it, and helping others along the way can get you in the top 3. on the list for points, and can easily & quickly help you rank up and gain more crystals.

3. Making the most of the map & Comparing it

For everything, especially finding and killing enemy tanks, Highland is great. As I explained above, the map is small and lots of tanks are confined to a small space. With bigger and slower hulls, you can still get kills and move around quickly because of the size of the map, and most tank combos work pretty well here. It is also a great map to practice your own skills & tactics, and once you get the hang of it, it may become one of your favorite maps.

List of some more combos you could use on Highland to confirm a victory: http://tanki-online.wixsite.com/game/best-combination

Many Thanks for reading my Guide! Let Me know if any of the Tactics were helpful!  :P

Guide to playing in Courage effectively

kNIQSs6.png

QVrxGLd.png

Overview: Courage is famous for being used as a map known for  XP/BP  battles.

Battle Modes:  DM, TDM, CTF, CP

Map capacity:  8v8 (team), total  size 16 players

Tactics:-

DM(Death Match)

QVrxGLd.png

Just like any other map, DM here is pretty simple but it’s not so popular in terms of a Death match for courage. But I do have few tricks which can be worked out on this map.

Camping:

BbIAbUH.png

There are few places on this map which can be used in a smart way to camp and secure a not so comfy but safe place. This place is not hard to reach but it’s hard to stay as it’s kinda open to many attackers who may think that you will be  a threat  in their way to secure first place. Mines can be planted on the edge to stop any intruder but this very edge is open to attackers coming from behind. Over all this place is very good for camping as you can target many players from this safezone.

Attack:

5gpHbET.png

You can be a total pro by  being in mid fire and attacking everyone by moving here and there. The middle zone of this map will never be vacant as there are many spawn zone here so players coming here is a hit point as being in one corner and attacking who so ever dare to cross the zone. Here one can easily steal kill if you use your equipments wisely and double armor will for sure come handy. A short range turret will be perfect.

TDM(Team Death Match)

TDM may not be popular for this map but it is for sure  a fun to play. Controlling the drops and spawn kill can assure a clear win on this map.

Attacking

BrQKNff.png

Going towards enemy base maybe hard but with enough fire power and a couple of isida will work! You can secure few places from where you can control the spawns against the enemy  and will likely to survive if you drug hard and have an isida backing you up with drugs too. Even if your team ain’t really covering you up still you can win solo by using a heavy hull and a really good turret which can easily take down few Wasps and hornet in one shot ( as every kill count)

Defensing:

3ug9Epn.png

Just like camping as explained above, camping here will help you as their will be your teammates to cover you up. Standing behind covers and shooting anyone who drives through those ramps will help every bit for your team. You can hide behind the hill or camp on the edge to save your D/L but if anyone comes with heavy drugs then for sure you’ll be the first one to be sacrificed for your team but don’t worry as you’ve already done some serious damage to them and rest can be taken care of.

CTF(Capture The Flag)

qyxhSED.png

Many elements will be there in this section as this map is famous for it’s long hours XP/BP battles

The first thing we will focus on is Attack

Attacking:

oqfTxeD.png
XCQHGKI.png

dkmYNxX.png

A team can easily win a CTF  here if they control the middle area, although the side from both red and blue are pretty much same so I wont be writing from 2 different perspective. In non-format using a medium hull and turret will work fine for attacking. Although a good teamwork is much appreciated here for a back up. Controlling the drop zones can make you easily dominate the battle.

Defense:

UpWf6XC.png

zeDrpDd.png
WmK7vcm.png
waj8gbR.png

Many of you will try to get a heavy tank for Defense by driving through  on the top of the flag counter….. but nah don’t do that! The most  effective way for saving your flag is to get the good old Mammoth and Freeze. Staying near the pipes and hiding from enemy rage is a useful tactic on this map and that side. Others ways for a really good defense is to clear the middle area of the map and turn it into a safe zone for your team mates by controlling drops. Other way for a really good defense is camping near the flag’s ramp, a place where you can take care of any enemy who dares to cross your border.

CP(Capture Points)

jWyhurz.png

The tactics here are pretty simple, capture the point and hold on it for as long as possible.  A good mixture of medium and heavy hull will be perfectly fit here. In order to stay on point a Titan will be perfect because of it’s insane pushing power and a Freeze or Twins mounted on it.

Defense:

6qKWez8.png

Of course a heavy hull is preferred by many here but in order to be the  king of the points you will need some smart ways to hold onto those precious points. Using heavy hulls along with medium range turrets are best here and then after capping points staying low and hiding is just perfect. Mining around the points and ramps are also suggested.

Attacking:

32AB91e.png
9HR8mox.png

Attacking here can be of 2 types: full attack i.e. Attacking directly at the enemy base and other can be said as smart attacking camper i.e. attacking from the sides of the enemy base and decreasing their health. Both of these places can be secured by planting the mines on the ramps and at the edges to avoid any sneaky enemy who will just drug hard enough to kill you.

Over all this map is best suited for short and medium range turrets and can be easily be  dominated.

Tanki Online - Guide to playing Cross effectively

ABOUT

Cross map is one of the oldest maps in game. This map is great for XP/BP, especially for 1 vs 1. In Cross we have some connected bridges and houses. It is considered as small map.

U1JD8Ab.png

zXYXf8j.png

xgamhKF.png

Themes: Summer Day, Winter Day, Space mode.

Size: 14 players, 7 vs 7.

Modes: Deathmatch (DM), Team Deathmatch (TDM), Capture The Flag (CTF), Control Points (CP).

Deathmatch

In this map you should use medium or long distance turrets like Smoky, Thunder or Railgun. With them I recommend to camp near the bridge or behind the tower, try to use heavy hull.

4MEhMQA.jpg

ISWwtlG.jpg

Team Deathmatch

Team Deathmatch mode is very similar to Deathmatch just with teammates, so I suggest you to use Medium or Heavy hulls, and m
edium-long range turrets such as Smoky, Thunder, Twins, Rico, Railgun.

Isida works too, it is good for healing your teammates.

Capture The Flag

Defending: in Cross flags are near the towers so it is good to have Viking and Freeze or Titan and Firebird behind the towers. Another good tactic is to have Titan and Twins on the flag, it will stop enemies for taking your flag and do a great role in defense. Do you like Magnum? If yes, take it and stand in corner of the map and try to shot at defenders, if you won't kill them – you will at least make a huge damage and decrease their chances of flag not being taken.

jmoBHpo.jpg

Attacking: for attacking it is good to have some Vikings with short-medium range turrets (Firebird, Twins, Ricochet, Thunder, Isida). The tactic is to get Viking in front and isida behind to deal maximum amount of damage and maybe even capturing a flag.

wz2lvgH.jpg

Control Points

Heavy hulls and Medium hulls are the key to victory in any map. Cross is not an exception. The tactic is easy: just get few Titans to stand on your side of points, while Vikings go for enemies points.

Gold Boxes

200px-Haha.png

The best hull in this map to catch golds is Dictator because he’s a highest hull in the game. Some gold drop zones are down, that means you can jump from bridge to get a higher chance of taking the gold box.

About Highland :

Highland is a highly reputed popular DM / CTF map in Tanki Online.

Battle Modes : CP CTF DM and TDM

It is a medium sized map with a maximum capacity of 16 players in total which is 8 players in a team .

DM :

One must require skills to fight back and defend themselves successfully to gain good experience in DM battles.

We must use our skills and tactics in fight and defence . Some tactics which are helpful in DM battles are given below.

Camping Tactic:

There are many walls and barricades in Highland which provide a good self defence . Hiding behind these banners and barricades will help you to improve your kill death ratio and gain experience simultaneously .

Recommended turrets for camping are Magnum, Smoky and Railgun.

Recommended hulls for camping are Titan, Viking and Wasp.

CTF:

Capture the flag requires teamwork . We must find flaws in our team and correct it and find the weakness of the opposite team to make your team win .

In Highland to play CTF effectively we must observe what have our teammates equipped and try to balance the team. Teams need some players for offense and some for defence.

If your team does not have a good defence then you must equip Magnum and use the camping tactic for a better defence.

If your team does not have a good offense towards the opposite team then we need to use a high damage turret like Firebird and a teammate with an isida to capture flags and make the team win victoriously.

Recommended turrets for CTF are Smoky, Railgun, Hammer and Firebird.

Recommended hulls for CTF are Titan, Wasp, Hornet and Viking.

TDM:

Playing TDM in highland is simple if you have a team which has one or two isidas to keep up the health of the teammates. Magnum and the camping tactic can be used to destroy the enemies. A strong upgraded Vulcan with a personal isida can give a very good output.

Recommended Turrets for TDM are Smoky, Firebird, Vulcan, Freeze, Thunder, Isida and Hammer.

Recommended Hulls for TDM are Titan, Hornet, Wasp and Viking.

CP:

CP in Highland is a totally different experience . Skills and teamwork is required for CP in Highland . To capture points and to hold back enemies we must use an effective short / medium ranged turret with a medium / light hull.

Isidas in teams can be useful to top up the health of the teammates.

Recommended Turrets for CP are Smoky, Firebird, Freeze, Thunder, Hammer, Isida and Ricochet.

Recommended Hulls for CP are Viking, Titan, Wasp, Hornet, Hunter and Dictator.
