Question about the forum

So just now (right before this post) the (entire) forum had some kind of update or something and I could not reply to any topic or post anything (not a ban) and I was placed in the group "Beginner" then a few minutes later, everything went back to normal. Can anyone (preferably a forum mod or any admin) explain this? I don't know if there has been a topic previously created about the same issue because the search returned no results. Also my apologies if this is in the wrong section because I didn't know where else to post it lol.

What you experienced is a commong glitch that may happen during the day :)

It is a temporary issue in the communication between the Forum and the database that contains users' permissions and ranks - this is why you were not able to view other tankers' ranks and we were all (even Mods, Admins and CMs) set back to "Beginner" group!

 

It usually lasts few seconds, up to few minutes in the worst cases, but it is not a major issue, just something that auto-fixes ;)
