New Box item: Reload Time

Think about it. Twins firing at double speed? Nobody will be able to aim since they will be knocked over! Reload time will be good for weapons with good impact force.

Yeah, no.

 

No reload time = Railgun becomes exceedingly OP (double shotted from across the map in half a second, you don't even need to be accurate), Vulcan and Twins don't get much benefit. -50% reload time is basically Double Damage but less useful in most situations, Vulcan and Twins still don't get that much benefit.

A "Reload Time" box ?

# -50% your reload time for  the ongoing game.

# No reload time for X seconds

No Reload Time Will change the game :

1. Increase of lag

2. Hard to Complete a battle

3. Game Errors

4. Long Range Turrets Will b biggest problem

5. Players will not understand what is happening with them  specially New players

6. It will be hard to kill any player with No reload box + Mammoth + Twins/Ricochet

This has been suggested before. Two reasons why it won't work:

 

Removing reload doesn't work the same for all turrets. For example Vulcan doesn't really have a reload time (only cooldown, which doesn't even need to be used if there's an Isida healing), so this supply would be useless for Vulcans. A supply must be equally beneficial for any gun and hull combo, so this doesn't fit.

 

Making reload twice as fast has almost exactly the same effect as having Double Damage. There is no point adding a whole new supply if it's too similar to an existing one. Perhaps it could be a type of Double Damage where players chose to use either one or the other, but not as a separate supply.

 

Idea rejected. Closed.
