I don't celebrate christmas because I am a buddhist but the cristians in our country celebrate it but I love when christmas arrives the whole environment changes,u will see decorations in homes shops etc and also the cool and peaceful enviornment(sadly,it,doesn't snow in my country).Well it's pretty heart warming when reminding these things. :)

fun fact - christians are not supposed to celebrate christmas b/c the bible doesn't say we should.

While it may not say we should celebrate it, does it say anything about Easter celebrations? Or about playing MMO's, or watching TV. Somethings you have to take literally, somethings should be taken metaphorically, and others are not mentioned, deeming them unimportant. So as long as you celebrate the true meaning of Jesus' birth, that is what you should do. Instead of focusing on the commercialism associated with Christmas it is our job to show the non Christians that commercialism is not the whole point, but in the birth of God in the form of Jesus, and how he came to save us. And when he died on the cross, he took our burden of sin, so that all who believe and trust him will go to Heaven. So in short, Christmas is fine, but only focusing on the capitalistic points is bad. But enjoying the Holiday and gift giving part is, imo, a part of it, as God through Jesus gave us a gift of life everlasting.

I'll be spending time with my family, friends, and those who we've not thought about — People who are not rich, don't have a nice home like ours, those that need our help. I will be donating lots of money to them. Giving 'Shoe-Boxes' to other poor countries — This is one of the best reason I love Christmas — Not because we get 'sales' & 'presents'  ^_^

Maybe Christmas doesn't come from a store. Maybe Christmas . . . perhaps . . .means a little bit more!

Operation Christmas Child?

My church does that each year.

That is true that he was not born on the 25, however, since no date is known, someone put it there. Probably a boost in economy, but that is not the point. Take it in stride. Would you rather NOT have a date, and not even think about it, just like Easter. I think that it is good to have a date, even if it might not be fully accurate, to think and remember.

Yeah I support your points, but do you know what date 25th December is ? According to history it is the birthday of king nimrod, and according to bible, nimrod is the helper of the Satan, aka devil. So cheers :D

@FC_BayernMunchen - Post no. #2:

We shall celebrate Christmas, no matter if it is said or not said in the Bible. Christmas is not just that we design our buildings or get presents, in Christmas, you can also help people who don't have anything or lost them - Poor people, give them money/food/clothes... anything that you don't need to use or just buy new things for them.

Merry Christmas. Though I'm not that religious of a person, I appreciate the spirit of the season.

And, please ask a moderator to change the title to Merry Christmas 2015, or my OCD will kill me. It isn't happy christmas :c !

Bible might not say that we need to celebrate it but you have choose between celebrating and not.

To all - all I wanted to do was to let everyone know, b/c it is a common misconception. i am not here to judge  :)

Most people who celebrate christmas don't even consider jesus as a relevancy for starters

I know, many Christians do, but most people don't

I'm excited for Christmas to come.  I enjoy singing the Christmas songs at church, especially the songs based upon our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

I'll spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with friends and family.  :)

Wow, never knew there were so many Christians in the forum...

Well, I now know I am not alone.
