If i have 10% on a item, and there is also christamas sale, these 2 sales can be summed?

I think it's like this:

Say an item costs 100 000 crystals and there's a 50% sale.

With this 50% sale, it'll cost 50 000 crystals.

Because of the extra 10% sale, it'll cost 45 000 crystals.

 

You can't just sum 50% + 10% I think. It's not the same as a 60% sale. 

I've chosen the numbers I've used, so counting is easier. I've no idea about the percentage of a possible sale.
