Notification for [member= ____ ] tag on forum

Pretty self-explanatory, we should be able to tag each other on the forum like you can do on Facebook and other social media. Some topics might require moderator attention so if we could tag them they would notice faster instead of uselessly posting "Mod please take a look at this" when they don't know and they don't have time to look at every single topic. Some topics you might just want to tag friends or clan members in, or other people you want to get attention of.

 

What I mean when I say "tagging" is that the user you tag will get a notification that you tagged them and then they can view the post/topic that you tagged them in. Plus @generalpotato_PRO is only a link to their profile, not a tag, because the linked user does not receive a notification.

 

 

One con I can think of right now is Mods might receive lots of tagging spam but right now I can't think of a solution for this. If you guys could help me come up with one, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! :)

Oh I didn't know dat :3 But still, the person you want to tag may not have posted in the topic yet for you to quote them.

Just like other social media sites. Say I write a post like this:

 

 

Then the noob Mr.Sarcastic will get a notification saying something like "FC_BayernMunchen has tagged you in a post"
