How can we measure the length of a map / Distance between two points?

All maps are made out of square sections called "props". These sections are often blended together in terrain, but sometimes they are very easy to see, like on the map Noise. Each section is 5x5 metres, so you can count the number of props in a map, multiply it by 5 and get the length in metres.

So each unit square is 5x5 metres in TO?

thats pretty hard each unit square in 5x5 what about maps that do not have blocks like berlin, kunger, rio, monte carlos etc

They do, but they are just harder to spot. ;) You can also measure it using tanks, but this would be very tedious, and not 100% accurate.
