A guide to Isida

Today we'll be discussing one of my favorite grinders, Isida.

Before we begin, if you came looking for how to play better after it got nerfed, this is not the place.

Hulls to use

Hunter: This is (Like I say a lot) a stock combo, if it feels slow, go for lighter hulls. If it feels weak, go for heavier ones.

Titan: This is the one for a medic, but I would not recommend straying from the base.

Viking: This is a support combo, follow key fighters like the attackers, midfielders, and the flag runner.

Hornet: This is for the impatient medic, run around and never stick to one person.

Wasp: While I don't use Wasp often, I have to imagine this being more of a attacking combo if you have DD.

How to be a good medic

Step one: Make sure it's what you want to do. If you don't like supporting and being fairly weak when alone don't go for it. Deathmatches are also out.

Step two: Don't rub against people you're healing. Okay, this is going to be surprising to some medics I've encountered: Your beam has length.

You don't need to cling to anyone.

Step three: Never forget DD. It makes you unstoppable.

Step four: Get used to be bullied. It will happen.

Things never to do to an Isida

1. Underestimate us due to our usual roles

2. Think of us as weak.

3. Allow us near a flag, we can't fight the enemy off without all three supplies active.

4. Call us "noobs".

5. Flip us over something as trivial as a DD box.

This has been The-Operator of the Galagan hive.

A neatly written article here, Operator. Although, I'd like to add that Isida is very, VERY unstable, regardless of whether the enemy has a weapon with impact force or not. Use it with Wasp on High ranks, and you're dead meat. Also, Vulcans, IMO, are the biggest enemies of isidas.

Yep. But once that beam latches on, don't expect to come out alive.
