Mine isn't either (DJ Dude Yoyo)

1) find a good name (you'll need it)

2) record using a program then another for editing if you wish

3) make sure you have a good intro (and maybe have more than one if you desire)

4) make sure you verify your records/edits BEFORE you upload them to YouTube

that's all I have for now

I guess that really depends on your goals.  What do you want to accomplish in doing so, and what sort of content do you want to offer, and what abilities do you personally hold towards making that sort of thing happen, and who else can help you with the work or the skills you do not have?  What makes Youtube the best platform to be engaging through, and do you have supplementary websites or resources that will be linked to your channel?

Ok, First of all, find a good name for your channel. If you are gonna put videos with live commentary with your face recording, your channel name must be evaluated. Don't make it the "LostLegend" then, because it would be too much awkward if...

You: Hey guys! It's the Lost Legend Here! And today I am gonna...

Names such as Tracula, Leo, Zovio or Benson might be great, but Tracula and Benson are forbidden for you since I am gonna use them. )

If you're youtube channel videos won't have commentary with your live face recording, many names will be great.

Now, you need to find something which you really love, and which can make you get excessive subscribers quickly. Maybe creating videos on Agar.io, GTA 5, Basketball, Music and even more things may be great. Try to advertise your youtube channel, but not too much that people would think you are spamming.

Be sure to monetize your videos, and not use copyrighted music. Make a twitter page and facebook page on your channel. If you are good at Tanki then you can make a video for Video of the Week, and if you win you're channel would gain height. Use good screen recorders and video recorders. Try to make your videos a bit funny, but not too much because that would make your videos kinda babyish. Practice editing on video editors well, get a good video intro and a good video end screen. If you want music ncs would be a great help. And Monstercat and Trap City also releases great music. Use annotations on your videos and never use free music from youtube, those music are horrible. Creating videos on real life parkour may be a great help. Interact with your subscribers, create a good channel page with a good profile picture. Picmonkey or Photoshop can be handy for this.

If I tell the truth. videos which would feature your face with commentary would be great, your subscribers would know more about you. Commentary videos can be easily made funny, curse a little, but not to any religion or... (you must know :))

Anyways, if you are gonna upload videos from an Apple computer, I might be of more help. :)

I can't give you any advice really, because I don't have a channel myself. If I were you, though, I'd look at famous youtuber's channels and see what they do.
