Right now, Tanki Online is buzzing with New Year fun and celebrations. We’ve got specially-themed decorations, paints, gifts, discounts, a unique map and lots more going on right now and all through to January 11th at 02:00 UTC, including:

• A unique New Year map featuring an all-new, exclusive battle mode called “Assault”, where one team defends a base with a control point, while the other team attacks the base in an attempt to deliver their flag to the control point within
• Gold boxes worth 2016 crystals on all maps, plus themed gold box notification sound and drop zones created especially for the occasion
• A set of unique daily missions with increased difficulty but bigger rewards:
  • Earn experience points on the New Year map
  • Destroy enemies while wearing the Holiday paint
  • Earn experience points in the Assault battle mode
  • Catch New Year gold boxes

On top of that, we’ve introduced a new XT combination — Vulcan and Mammoth! Premium tankers may purchase these unique items just like any other XT gear, while Generalissimos can acquire them by completing unique daily missions. More importantly, these new XT items are here to stay! You will be able to acquire them even after the celebrations have ended.

 

But there’s more! THE GAME, our traditional New Year quest, returns on January 3rd with a series of riddles to solve, keywords to discover, and supplies to be won. The most clever (and fastest) tanker will get 1000 of each supply, a Tanki T-Shirt, and a dream tank available at his rank. we also had to buy every modification of the hull or turret instead of just the current and best one. Sure, this sale wasn't the best and could have been WAY better, but hey, at least we got good discounts. of course, the new Micro upgrades system suck to the core

Oh, thank you Tankionline developers for the genius missions wearing holiday paints..... now I have random noobs wearing holiday paint ' which makes them very vulnerable' and trying to kill as many as possible while not contributing to the team work or the objective.

This kind of missions ruins the game play and must be removed !!

FREEGRAZER has had no Holiday Celebration. I got no "Double Crystals" on sale day so  I purchased none. And I had no crystals for the other sales, so I have purchased no turrets, no hulls and no paints. So I had nothing to upgrade. Indeed, I went 7 days without a double crystal card. 

 

I have enjoyed the Holiday map, and I like the new game format. But I played it mostly with other accounts. Thank goodness for other accounts. I dare say more then 25 hours of fun (except for the terrible programming at the three fort entrances where the wall doesn't show, but does exist and tips you over ).

 

I can only wonder how many of us never saw a sale this season, worth the name. No goodies were waiting for me!

First of all, tanks that fly, that account will be banned or blocked because flying or such hacking violates the in-game rules. 

 

Second, please post ideas in the ideas and suggestions topic and create your own topic.

I'll personally be glad when this is over.  The sale on turrets, hulls, etc. was nice, but having to earn 1500 XP for 3 hours of Premium paint for a Daily Mission is ridiculous, as is having to catch 5 GBS or for crystals or supplies.  I've only seen about a dozen GBs fall thus far, and so this and the newer DMs are highly impractical.. in my mind, anyway.

I have entered the game for every day of this event, and the only special mission I got was to collect 5 gold boxes. THRICE. Not many people are actually GOOD at gold hunting, so whats the point!!!!! Stupid how I didn't get any of the other missions (on this account at least). Bye bye now.
