Thanks dude, im pretty good at DM already, and i still learned alot from you.

One of my favorite combos is freeze and hornet because players like you feel that bigger is better in DM and i prove you wrong by freezing you and spinning around you and a couple enemys while you sit still as a duck cursing me because you cant do anything till i finish you

As mentioned in the posts above the hitlist is questionable.

Maybe you should have left it out?

Too many variables, especially Map size, to suffice with such

a short paragraph in a further excellent article.

Playing DM should indeed be in every Tankers to-do-list.

It 's the gamemode that simply doesn 't allow for being "lazy":

in DM you have to improve your own gameplay or suffer the consequences.

DM is merciless, the main reason why many Tankers dislike it...

Many Tankers prefer CTF and CTF is often indeed

the most thrilling gamemode Tanki has to offer.

You can improve in CTF by playing CTF ofcourse, but it 's my firm believe

that with lessons learned in DM, Tankers will improve much faster.

They will soon become better CTF players than those

who just stick with CTF all the time.

And when at times you get fed up with nooby teammates, mults etc.

you will always have an alternative gamemode that frees

you from almost all of that... ;)

Don 't take my word for it: just read the article above!

Yea i accept it as i encontered in monte carlo so many noob twins just taking mamoth and instead of defending pushing me out or no letting me cap so i just sent a friend request and invited him to a dm he asked for teams but i was killing him as a free kill! :P

i really hate this game mode and i never play it.

im not that good with it and i really like Isida, which is more for team games.

i dont get much xp/crystals, and the game isnt fun there.

thats why i ALWAYS skip DM missions, and i hope there will be a feature that allows u to choose a few mission types that u WONT get.

Oh my, my entire thinking on DMs has changed. I've always avoided them, except when I got missions, and now I realize I've been doing all the wrong things. Thanks again Night.

Same, I still do avoid DMs, but not as often with this article.

I felt that you ran out of steam or something when you got to the good part. I wished you would have done more on the tactical part, especially that it is what the title of the article is.

Good job though!

At last! A good article. That sonofchrysalis needs removing from this paper for the sake of everyone.

I would have upvoted this if only I had had the option to downvote sonofchrysalis's articles.

Right now I'm using DM quite a lot, to improve my D/L (look at my profile and you will see what I mean). What advice would anyone give for that? And what would you term as an acceptable D/L?

Great article, I use Polygon loads, so really useful

My D/L. It's so so pro. Ok, ok, J/K. In my opinion, anything over 1.00 is 'acceptable', but for an isida, worse is fine.

Thanks everyone :)

@Dragon-Judgment (and a few others)

I "forgot" a lot of combos... because pretty much anything can be deadly in the right hands. For the sake of time, my sanity, and space, I just mentioned a few of what I consider to be commonly used dangerous weapon/hull combinations.

For the record... Mammo/anything is scary.  ;)

Even Mammoth-Fire? o.O

Anyways, thank you for this article, my performance in Polygon DMs has drastically improved.

Not to mention DMs in general...

4. Railgun/Hornet

Yeah, yeah, I know. The XP combo is hugely cliched and overused. Still, in the hands of a good player, Rail can be used with devastating effect. Though Hornet is light in terms of armor, the speed and trolling capabilities more than make up for it.

LOL! How about Shaft/Hornet? Now THAT have the speed and trolling capabilities more than make up for it.
