contest: design an animation
Tanki doesn't have enough animations, I mean, there's the explosion, but that's about it. This contest will fix that. The idea is to create not only a new animation, but an entirely new way to move! Design in any way possible, using an animation creator or editing software.

RULES: Make sure you include the way your animation will work (i.e. Bouncing )

No reserving, reserving will result in automatic disqualification.

No more than 1 entry per player, if you give more than 1 entry you will be disqualified

Your Nickname MUST be present on your piece of artwork

First: 30000 crystals and, if realistic, implementation into the game
Second: 20000 crystals
Third: 10000 crystals

Consolation prizes of 5000 crystals will be given to worthy entries.

Valentines Day Poetry!

Valentine's day is coming soon, and that means it's time for a themed contest!

Your objective is to create a poem based on the keyword and to decorate it using any medium.

The keyword is: ROSES

Rules:

All entries are to be done on a blank A3/A4 sheet of paper
Reserving posts will lead to disqualification
All entries must be the participant's own work
Only one (1) entry per participant
If your entry violates any of the forum's rules, you will be automatically disqualified

Entries close on Tuesday 14th of February (Valentine's Day)

The names and entries of winners will be announced in Issue 48 of the Tanki Newsletter. Prizes are as follows:

First place: 30,000 crystals

Second Place: 20,000 crystals

Third place: 10,000 crystals

Any entries who are worthy of a prize but did not receive a placing may receive a consolation prize of 5,000 crystals.

Have you always wanted that "perfect" turret that can do everything you want within reason well now's your chance all you have to do is design your "perfect" turret.

1: your design cant be overpowered eg:a missle strike that one shots everyone

2: your design has to be m1 with stats and size and shape of projectile

3: you will have to draw it on a peice of paper in colour

4: have fun!! but remember any entries that arent reasonable will be disqualified and each user only gets one design/chance

Ok, I'm bad at deciding the rewards, so if this gets in the top two (that's a big if), you might have to alter them.

Advertising Tanki. Are you up for the job?

Intro:

Ladies and gentletankers, you have been given the chance to advertise different parts of Tanki. The task is simple, think of a Tanki related thing (EG the chat, forum, or battle room) and write a quick advertisement of it. It can either be a quick, witty, billboard type of AD, or, you may wax eloquent in

a magazine-style description.

The rules:

1. No plagiarism of anyone else's work

2. No reserving of posts

3. Only one entry per person

Suggestions:

1. A large entry is not necessarily a good one. ADs that are to-the-point, might be better than long, drawn-out ones

2. Look in magazines and on billboards for ideas. The people who make those advertisements are experts, take my advice and listen to them.

3. Don't be too quick to click the "Post" button. Make sure your advertisement is pleasing to look at, as well as having good content

Contest: Living Garage

Everything in the garage in TO is named after something real. Your task is to choose a turret/hull/paint combo of your choice. Then, using the names of your choices as inspiration, depict it as if it were a living entity in any way you know how. After creating your depiction, you must create a backstory that explains it's existence (and will hopefully provide us with a good chuckle too).

RULES:

- You can use drawing, digital editing, stop-motion animation, sculpting, or any other medium that you are comfortable with to depict your chosen combination.

- NO RESERVING is permitted. Any reservations will result in disqualification.

- Only one entry is allowed. If you submit more than one entry, only the entry with the latest time-stamp will be considered.

- No plagiarism is permitted. While you may choose to depict the same combination as another tanker, you must make your depiction unique in some way. DO NOT photoshop pictures that you did not take yourself, i.e. don't use pictures from the internet.

- Your entry must abide by all of the rules of Tanki. Basically, don't insult anyone or swear.

- Your entry should be contained inside a spoiler and include the following:

1. Your chosen combination

2. Your chosen medium

3. The title of your creation. Give it an interesting name.

4. A link to your depiction. If you choose to submit a still image, post it to an online image hosting website. If you choose to make a video of your creation (animation, for instance), upload it to YouTube. The video must not be longer than 15 seconds, although a 1 second difference will be allowed due to how YouTube displays video length.

5. The backstory for your depiction. The backstory must be no longer than 300 words. Anything longer will get the entire entry disqualified. Try to be funny; your chances will increase during the judging if you can knock our socks off with a good description. THE BACKSTORY MUST BE IN A SPOILER AS WELL (a nested spoiler).

After the deadline has passed, the Tanki developers will select the top 20 entries. The chosen entries will be moves to a new topic that has a poll attached to it. All tankers will then get the opportunity to vote on their favorite entry, while the developers choose their own favorites. Favor will be given to entries who display the following qualities:

Originality - your work must be your own (see RULES above)

Quality - how clean your work is, including spelling and grammar in the backstory

Humor - make us laugh

Twins is one of the original turrets from Tanki Online, along with Firebird and Smoky. It has the fourth-shortest range, longer than that of Firebird, but shorter than the range of Hammer. Make a Soundtrack

Don't you get so bored listening to the same in game sounds? The music at the beginning of the vlog is cool, but it gets boring after a while, right?

For this contest, you need to create your own soundtrack for Tanki . It can be for anything related to the game. You could make a new VLOG soundtrack, a soundtrack to play in battles, ect.

Prizes:

1st: 50,000 crystals
2nd: 40,000 crystals
3rd: 30,000 crystals
If your entry is exceptionally good and you don't win, you will get a consolation prize of 10,000 crystals.
Note: This does not mean that you will automatically get a prize for participating. Your entry must be high quality to win a consolation prize.

Rules:

-YOU must have created the song. Not your favorite band. Not some random guy on the internet.

-Use any DAW you want, but your entry must contain a screenshot of whatever program you are using.

-The minimum bitrate of your upload is 128kbps (the quality of your MP3). Uncompressed audio is preferred if possible (AIFF, WAV, FLAC, ect.)

-If you use any samples found outside your DAW, please name them.

-Your song has a MAXIMUM length of 2 minutes and 30 seconds

Design a Hull

Hello Tankers! Have you ever noticed the plethora of turrets that are in the game? Haven't you ever wondered why there isin't an equal number of hulls to match? Well now's your chance to design a brand new hull.

The Rules

The hull you design can be either a light, medium or heavy hull

You must post the concept art for your brand new hull in any file format. You can design it in a graphic design software, or even on just plain paper with a pencil!

You must also include the name of your proposed hull

Make sure to include art for each modification, M0, M1, M2, and M3

You must also post the specifications that each modification of your new hull should have (make sure to keep the specs withing reason!)

For extra credit, you can post concept art for an XT model of your proposed hull!

Prizes

First Place will receive 40,000 crystals

Second Place will receive 25,000 crystals

Third Place will receive 10,000 crystals

Any Honorable Mentions will receive 5,000 crystals each
