Has CP changed

I don't normally take special note of the accumulation of CP's in that mode (I don't play CP's very often) and perhaps I was not paying enough attention BUT as I recall, if you captured a point and held it for a specific length of time (10 seconds?), the score at the bottom of the screen would gradually increase but never go down.

 

In the last few games I have played on this mode, the captures points are up and down all over the place. Yesterday in a battle it was quite even at one point but within two minutes there was a massive difference in the scores and our team CP's had dropped.

 

Is this new or has it always been this and I just never noticed?

Okay thanks, at least I know I am not going mad (although I might be).

 

On a personal note - I do not like it which goes against the majority of the replies on that thread supplied. I wonder if those that thought it sounded a good idea still think it is, having the chance to have seen it in reality?
