Hunter m2 vs Viking m2-General Discussion

NOTE-This isn't to help me buy anything. I just want to have a discussion on these two hulls of the m2 modification ONLY. Anything else is not welcome.

 

Hunter m2 vs Viking m2-Which stands tall? Speed or HP? Both completely blow dictator m2 out of the water, and hunter m2 pretty much destroys hornet m2, so how do you compare these two embodiments of speed and hp? Both are versatile, except one is a little stonger and the other a little faster. Both are basically equal and the same price. Which one do you prefer? Why?

Hunter m2 vs Viking m2

 

Most people say that Viking m2 is better, but that's only because they look at the basic stats-Health and Speed. Viking m2 has good stats for both, but it's turning speed leaves a lot to be desired. This is its main weakness. Hunter m2, has great stats for everything except protection- it has rather low HP and is not fast enough to make up for that. It also has a bit of an annoying drift. Apart from that, however, both of them are great tanks which go well with any gun. One final tip for hunter: When using it, don't use it like Viking but use the extra speed and stay on the move.

Viking is the same shape as hunter; its like a flattened version :)

Uhh, i prefer m3 hunter. But that's just me. But here is the thing, m3 viking is my favorite hull. I just prefer m3 hunter more.

+ hunter has more chance of getting gold due to how tall it is in height

10 degrees of turning speed and .7 extra speed doesn't really do anything. Viking is not only better from stats, but it's also more stable.

Wrong there :) 0.7 speed is a lot. Plus Hunter m2 can impersonate a light hull. Hunter m2 is really, really fast. I have it and i was shocked by its speed. It also has enough armour to make a flag capture in a crowded enmy base. eg- Blue team rio. Viking m2 can do the same, but is better for smaller maps and more enemies, like noise blue team. Although there, the best is probably Titan m2 Although i prefer Viking m2, Hunter m2 aint bad either. And they both totally wreck Dict m2. I dont know why its so popular. Maybe becuz of Boar kit??? :P

Well when I was a noob (over 1 year ago) I bought the M2 hull kit which had both, M2 hunter and viking. Hunter M2 was basically the only hull I ever used. I used it with rico M2 and it was amazing! I found a huge difference between hunter M0 and M1, which is why I decided to buy it M2! Indeed I found it very useful for capturing flags. I wanted to get hunter M3 badly but unfortunately, it unlocked at . As I started ranking up I developed an interest in freeze, which was better with viking M2. After that I basically stopped using hunter M2. As I reached the rank of I bought viking M3. Here I am now today and I use viking! :)

Overall, they are both great hulls and I wouldn't be 2 sure which is better :p

Oh and Viking's shape allows it to get under other tanks. With slow reloading guns like railgun this can help as your opponent wont be able to shoot you while you reload

although i admit both are good hulls but there is 1 thing more advantageous.for viking than the little speed it lacks against hunter.that advantage is hunters annoying drift.not only annoying but when u are making a fast corner turn while retreating with flag hunter is exposed for a little longer time during which the enemy may even land anoth shot and make a killing.another disadvantage is that hunter is less stable than viking so while.shot deflection rarely effects.viking it can easily be done on hunter

Viking m2 is better than hunter, and viking is better than hunter in general. Hunter slips and slides quite a bit with m2+ and nitro. It is also pretty lightweight, and it can easily be flipped. Viking also has better acceleration, but I don't know if that matters.

I didnt have either, but in my experience of playing against both, viking is much stronger. It can take 3 shots from a rail, while hunter can only take 2. Its close to the same speed, and it looks better imo

If M3 Hunter unlocked at the same rank as M3 Viking, I bet there would be more Hunters. With M3 there is almost no difference in hp, but Hunter is much faster. Its just unfortunate M3 Hunter unlocks so late, therefore those that already bought M3 Viking, why buy another simular hull that's just a little better?

 

Though M4 is where they balance out.

 

Also M3 Hunter has very little drift.

VIKING i think is way better m2 and m0 but the other marks hunter is way better ( unless viking has good mu witch makes it op my m1 viking has 36mu its so good)

well from my experience with hunter (only m1 sorry) its an amazing hull. if you look at my garage, i only use heavy hulls - and hunter. you can still be in favor of hulls with more hp and still use hunter. it makes perfect sense really. whats amazing about hunter is that it has a lot of speed for the amount of hp it carries, so its a double win if you ask me. also i see a lot of comments about how bad the drift is, which it really is not, if you know how to use it. it can even be fun actually lol

 

i think there is a reason that tanki starts us all off with hunter and smoky -- its a perfect combination for all battle types.

I don't know much about hunter m2 since I never tried it but viking's speed is more than enough for me unless I play monte carlo ctf.

I have to disagree when you say "both viking m2 and hunter m2 completely wreck dictator m2". This might be true with stock dictator m2, but you have to consider micro upgrades also. With a few cheap micro upgrades, you can boost dictator m2's health a lot. For example, I MU-ed my dictator m2 just 9 times during the holiday sale, which didn't cost me very many crystals. Now, my dictator m2 has 245 hp. That is a 15 hp increase. In comparison, MU-ing viking m2 9 times gives a measly 4.3 hp increase, and MU-ing hunter m2 9 times gives an 8.6 hp increase.

 

The strength of dictator m2 lies in its micro upgrades.
