Which programming language do you know?

Recommended Posts

Basically I want to know which programming languages you guys know and are able to use, because I'm very interested in programming.

Just make a list. It doesn't matter if it's a language for making softwares or for web-designing

For Web-Design etc.. I know:

- HTML

- CSS

- JavaScript (learning at the moment)

For other things:

- AutoHotkey

- AutoIT

- C# (learning it also)

- Batch

And I don't care if any of them isn't a "real" programming language :DD

Now it's your turn ;)

It's really worth it learning programming languages. It's like: You are the "god" and you rule your code .. you can create your own dimensions :)

Depends on what you are making, I'm in the middle of making a PC game with it, and it seems to be doing well. For most general purpose coding it does well, but if your are looking into more advanced stuff, c++ might be a good idea.

Sounds interesting, good luck with it!

Not really...

Moreover,

Javascript and some other main languages

With main languages you mean C# / C / C++ / Ruby / Java?

What does programming language mean?

Coded language used by programmers to write instructions that a computer can understand to do what the programmer (or the computer user) wants :)

I know a little about Esoteric

You know esoteric ones? Nice. I know one, which I didn't add here, because its name is against the rules :'D

Guess you should know which one I mean :)

I don't know any "real" programming languages, but rather scripting languages which are insignificant from my view.

I don't want to become a programmer anyways.

Why are they insignificant for you?

I took a computer and software class, so I technically should know Python and HTML, but instead of doing work in there, I just played Tanki with my friends. Like my first time playing Tanki was in that class...

So you're kinda inactive?

Python is a great language when starting to learn how to program (It was the first one I learnt) and can be useful in general. I haven't used it to its full potential though.

I've learnt HTML and VBasic in school, but not at an advanced level. Tried learning JavaScript on CodeAcademy, but didn't get very far thanks to my habit of procrastination. Learnt some python on CodeAcademy (till the pig Latin translator), and stopped after that because I'm too lazy. Got a book on programming in C but again, too lazy to go through it completely.
