Poll: Shaft on mouse controls

Eyoo,

 

I'm planning to make a video review on Shaft using mouse controls, and I asked some people trough the forum PM if they have good functioning mouse controls. Not everyone seems to have working mouse controls, and because of that, the majority of you use the standard arrow keys.

 

Because I didn't find the forum PM approach accurate enough, I decided to make a poll that consists of a few questions regarding the mouse controls as Shaft; Hence this topic.

 

I'm kindly asking you to fill in the poll as detailed as possible. Therefor you need to try mouse controls as Shaft before doing so. For the most accurate result, please try them out on different browsers and especially the Standalone Flash Player.

 

 

 

ATTENTION: question 1 is there to indicate the popularity of mouse controls as Shaft. If you tried them out just for this poll, and you are not going to use them in battles in the future, choose no.

 

If you never used mouse controls as Shaft, and you're not going to try them; there are basic choices in the poll for you guys aswell.

 

If you've types of lag that are not displayed in the poll please post that in the comments, preferably with a video too. Feel free to post questions regarding the poll, if you have them.

I use mouse controls simnce I was a recruit and I don't expreince lag also mouse controls id easy to use with shaft.

I don't use Sniper Mode that much. However, sometimes when I do go into Sniper Mode, it has a mind of its own and starts to point upward as far as it can until it stops. I know it is a cheapo, but I've gotten a couple of kills this way when facing another Shaft with that problem.

I only use mouse controls with shaft when my hands are tired or when I want to hide my laser when camping. But unfortunately I'm not getting used to it so I immediately change to keyboard controls.

I sometimes use it, with mouse controls I can land a shot in perfect precision you could never get with regular controls.

They should add Mouse Controls to more browsers, but then, its Tanki, on which Good updates are rare..... <_<

But I have bugs with sniper mode

Sometimes the crosshairs get jammed and they automatically move to the upper or lower extremes, and only then I can actually move them

Miss quite a few kills because of this bug

So far the results of first 2 questions of the poll don't suprise me; I knew a lot of people use the standard controls for Shaft.

Little bit surpised on the results of the last question though.

I've been using mouse controls with my Shaft for nearly a year now, and its perfect for my Shaft. The fact that you can quickly observe your immediate surroundings by holding the right mouse button is an added bonus too. I just feel like I can aim better with the mouse than the keyboard considering my new keyboard is ghosting often and the regular Shaft controls glitch out way too often. I usually play in Standalone flash player so the option is available to me. The only downside that its difficult to aim arcade shots at a long distance in a moments notice. Other than that, MC gets a definite plus from me.

I'd just like to say that the sniper mode plays better with the mouse controls. The very fact that you can look around your laser location with the Right Mouse Button grants a mouse user superior awareness and tactical options. The problem is that mouse controls in general will sometimes become unresponsive, slow, or jerky. This only occurs every other game, but its still a rather annoying quirk.

 

I actually only started using mouse controls on Shaft at first because of the bugged keyboard controls. Once you went into sniper mode, the turret would sometimes start going up until you hit the 'Up' key. The remedy is quick, but it left you feeling insecure when going to sniper mode. You aren't sure if you're able to make a quick snipe successfully.

 

Mouse controls don't have this issue, so in the interest of weapon reliability and functionality, I switched over to the tactically advanced mouse controls.

Exactly, there is stuff possible that can't be done with the standard controls.

playing with your mouse is a totally different experience in Tanki Online, that's why I really wanted to make a video-review for a long time.

 

The poll will be used in the intro, as little background facts.

The video-project at it's current state is 40-50% completed and will be posted on the channel when finished.

 

That moment will also mark the end for the poll, so I'll inform the forum mods to close the topic.

How was it ruined? The laser doesn't showup until about two seconds before it is fully charged

But I have tried mouse controls a few times and I don't like them. They are to laggy although the right click thing is very useful

What makes it annoying is, i bought shaft m2 on Link_1119 rarely use it once in a month or something and the mouse controls aboustely blow. Like litterally i aint even joking wasted 110k on it, i thought it was going to be like a sniper in cod XD but its not

So use regular controls .I use regular controls and I love my shaft. If u want we could shaft 1v1 sometime and I could give u some tips (I am a long time shaft player and am good with shaft (I can easily rack up 1k points in a 15 min battle)

I don't like mouse control, it feels wierd because the Shaft moves so slow, so when your mouse is slowed down like that, it doesn't feel right.

For me, it just feels like War Thunder when unscoped: You turn the camera and the turret slowly follows your cursor.

Except for one thing: It's slow and clunky, and doesn't agree with my Mac's trackpad.

I play a lot of PC first person shooters so it kinda makes me feel at home.  :)
