Remove K/D or D/L (whichever you prefer)

I don't think it even matters But. Tanki Remove this from Parkour atleast. I die in a parkour battle and not kill (That is what should happen) And you add it to my profile?. C'mon This promotes parkour killing.

K/D is a useless stat as it only applies to the past two years (or however long ago this update was implemented). I see high ranks more concerned about their ratio than actually putting their tank on the line to return a flag or cap a point (camping titans or thunders in polygon are a good example). Give us the option to turn it off.

Yes, she never shuts up about it! She even reported someone when they had a better D/L than her, look through the last 2 -3 weeks of chat violation reports and you might be able to find it still.

I used to really admire Christianss when I met her when I was Warrant Officer 3. I thought she was incredible with a K/D like that.

 

Although I grew to see her as less god-like as I got higher, I was envious of her K/D and wished I was like her...

 

Then,a few months ago, I saw that she had just joined a Noise CTF. Excited at the first chance I would have to see her battle for the first time, I joined her side.

 

I spawned in. First thing I saw was her repetitive message about bacon on the battle chat. She then began to play, getting 1 or two kills. It struck me that she swayed away from fighting decent equipped enemies,  actually moved behind the building when a fully-drugged enemy came past. Then, I saw her under attack. As soon as she started taking damage, she quit. Just like that. Then she rejoined, killed someone, posted the bacon thing then (since she was taking damage) left again.

 

My team was getting slaughtered trying to defend and she was either kill stealing or multing. Utterly pathetic.

 

That battle revealed for me what she truly was. A runner, a mult, and a non-team player. She even called me a "massive drugger" when I've only used 300 more of each supply than her and I'm higher rank. Utter logic for you right there.

 

 

 

Anyway, on the subject of this topic, I think that deaths/kills made in Parkour mode shouldn't count. It would remove many saboteurs who join parkour games for free kills. It would also make me feel more like Parkouring since I prefer not to die unnecessarily. I also think that supplies used in parkour games shouldn't be removed from your garage when used, because you're not actually getting anything out of using them in Parkour mode. Waste of crystals.

No I like my K/D and I like making fun of people with low K/D, you crying cause you have bad K/D..

Snipers...some anyway get good k/ds. Try doing that with melee weapons and light hulls out in the field where the real battle is. Check my old account NoobTanker18 I was a sniper on that account and my k/d was high

That's incorrect. The number of kills/deaths and hence the K/D are counted from the very beginning of your career for everybody, no matter when you started playing the game. Unlike for instance experience earned with different turrets/hulls, K/D is one of the stats that have always been kept.

Don't see a good reason to remove it, it's one of the basic stats in this game. I think it gives a good measure for level of skill of a player, of course taking into account their playing style, quality of equipment and amount of supplies used. A K/D of say 1.5 is not impressive for a Mammoth camper, while it may be really good for an attacking player..

A good K/D could come about because of several factors but the only thing it measures is k/d and that's it because on it's own, it's not a good measure of anything.

 

There is a case to remove it but I don't see it happening.  The case being some players play CTF matches like their own personal TDM, not taking any risks for their own team for fear of taking a hit.  These players know who they are.  They have their own little safe spots in maps, picking players off, letting others do the hard attacking work, while reaping the benefits of their teammates efforts. These players cap very few flags or venture into harms way, playing each battle in their cosy little nests through sights of their sniper scopes, they are practically leeches.

 

Even worse, these players think they're skilful and brag about their k/d's or crystal/exp ratios to others who play the game in a more exciting and risky way. If I chose to have a boring tanki career like some of these stats-braggers, concentrating on just k/d, joining the right battles to maximise my crystals, I could certainly be up their with some of the best in the EN community but I'm just a noob attacker who likes to vary and spice things up.

 

I used to care about my k/d starting out but I evolved past that leech mentality and realised this game is not about how many you destroy, it's about winning the battle.

 (Sarcastic Voice) Yeah lets remove K.D and D.L, I mean who needs to know how well their stats are doing? I mean its not like clan leaders can use stats as evidence when recruiting clan members. While we're at it lets get rid of K.D for other games and for FPS games right? Right?

That's why there should be the option to turn K/D off but no one listens to sense.

 

Lots of people won't put themselves on the line because they're scared of losing 0.01 of their K/D...

From all stats that you can take, is the K/L the most useless one.

 

the most basic one that would be more usefull in the [battle statistics] (Tab key in battles), is IMHO

- [time active in battle].

- Or, even better: [points scored / minute]

 

I'm not saying that high points measure skill, but this statistic is simply much more usefull then K/D.

It would also enable us to spot mults earlier.

If your clan's leader selects his members by K/L, then I would search another clan. Fast.

My K.D is 0.24 I have Rail M2 hornet M2 everything else M0.

Then someone else has M2 Rail, Smoky, M3 thunder and has a K.D of 5.00.

You are the clan leader. Who would you choose? Stats including (yes), including K.D. If your stats are bad then are you a good or bad player? Stats don't lie so....?

If I would run an XP/BP clan:

I would play games with the new guys. In those battles I would closely watch their skills, their tactics, their limits.

If I like what I see, I invite them to trainings, where I do not play at all, but just look how they do.

After the 2nd training they are accepted.

 

You can win your clan wars only via teamplay, and not via K/D ratios, as campers dont bring flags.

 

All those clans where you apply via the forum and get accepted without someone saw you playing.. are.. hmm "have room for improovement".

Purely on K.D? No you misunderstand.

K.D is used in the process, that doesn't mean the clan leader shouldn't check how much supplies you've used to get to that K.D.

Or how many hours you play with weapons to see which is your fav/which you have most experience with. K.D is just one of the things that need to be used.

You are correct. K/D's are actually pretty biased because of supplies.

 

Example: I know this person who has a profile K/D of 2.65 at Brigadier rank. But this same person consistently gets a K/D of less than 1 in a non-supply Clan training.

 

This person has used almost 5 thousand of each supply..

You say campers don't bring flags, yet everyone who's played XP/BP has camped. Don't bother telling me otherwise cause railgun takes ages to reload and players aren't about to run to their deaths.

My point is, campers do bring your flags back. Who do you think retrieves the flag after you die? Who covers your leave once you take enemy flag? Campers.

Dude, if you have a K.D. that's gold how do you have it? Let me guess that brigadier also has M3 equipment and is a buyer.

The reason everybody rejects buyers and say that they have no skill is because they have better equipment and STILL yes STILL need to boost their power to get a few kills. So tell me we are in a 1v1 I have M2 while you have M0. You have 0 supplies and I have 1k of each. You can't get the pickups cause I go drug-lord mode and kill you and take all the boxes off the map.

Can you explain why it would be unfair for you? Also, imagine that I do that to all the players in a 10v10. So is it really biased?
