Advanced tips for the advanced defender

A guide to aggressively defending

This is a smaller guide with a few advanced tricks for you.

Now, the steps contained on this guide are taught only to the highest ranking soldiers in the Hive’s army, please do not distribute them.

  1. Lay mines on key areas of the enemy’s charge.

Mines on the ramps in Noise can prevent the blue side from making a move, and active guards can prevent ANY attack and crush morale.

  1. Use AFK players and Mults (People who wait for the goldbox and are useless.) as meat shields.

This one takes a bit of practice, your goal is to use AFK players and Mults to block off key points in the base for the enemy to either be enticed to attack or be slowed down. The hard part comes from the fact that AFK players will want to know why they’re somewhere else. Also you have to block the enemy charge, but allow the flag runner access to the base while running.

An alternate tactic is to use them as shields when charging by pushing them sideways in front of you, but this will not work against Firebird, Freeze, or Thunder.

  1. Take advantage of your terrain.

If you are in Noise, Firebird on the red side can be exploited with it’s cone of fire. You don’t have to be pointed at the enemy or even perfectly level, but your attack WILL be less devastating. The same with Freeze, and Smoky, your angle can be used either with or against the terrain.

If you use these tips you’ll be a crack defender in no time.

Good luck and may Queen Gapulus bless your very existence.

They can also be used for attacking, in maps like Noise the red team could push them down onto the blues to distract them then attack while they're busy.

At any rate, I think I've been playing too much Noise CTF.

No, you don't HAVE to use a friend, I was just saying the inactive player that just sits there can be used like a human shield.

I don't think it counts as sabotage to use a saboteur for something more useful than just sitting around and not helping the team.

Mult is someone working for the other team. They will block you from capturing the flag, try to flip you, etc. So as an example if I am playing for red team and I put a mult into the blue team, it is just another account, but my friend then plays on the mult account, and does what I said above.

:excl:  :excl: I am not, by any means, a mult, nor do I use mults. I was simply educating him about something he was unsure of. :excl:  :excl:
