On topic: I have an iphone, but I have friends who hate them. The one thing about samsung that I will say is that it is more customizable, and it is cheaper to repair/ replace. HOWEVER, I think that both are good in their own ways, and am would be happy to have either.

Ya, but guess what? Samsung made other stuff not phones back then. Steve Jobs changed that, making the first smartphone and best ever....

Please do a bit of research before making such statements there where a fair few smart phones out before the iphone.

I've used both Samsung and Apple flagships, and I must say, despite being great, Apple is the one for me. Buying an iPhone 6 very soon, Samsung's 4 GB of RAM can't keep up with Apple's 2 GB - that's because Apple used NVME storage, which is MUCH faster than that used in the S6 and Note 5. It does everyday tasks soon, and IMO, has a much better camera. I know a lot of people hate Apple, but I don't see why - they say it isn't customizable, but that hasn't really bothered me to this day, and after giving a high end Samsung device a try, I'm going right back to Apple. This is all just my opinion tho :)

NVME storage has nothing to do with RAM. Both Apple and Samsung use LPDDR4 in their latest products regarding RAM.

Regarding storage, yes, Apple uses an SSD standard called NVME.

And just to let you know, Apple uses Samsung's LPDDR4 RAM, make sure you throw your iPhone into trash because it has "cheap" Samsung components in it.

 

And, the iPhone (6S - $243)  costs less to produce than the S6 Edge ($290) so think about calling Samsung "cheap".
