A message to Isidas... (Rant)

Lemme make a point,there are three types of isidas

The Camper : This guy is what you have described,blah blah heals vulcan blah blah

The Helpful healer : This guy is how 60% isida's are like,they support attackers,and help defenders,whenever they see someone at low health,they heal them up,these people get top of the scoreboard easy

The Wrong User : This guy doesn't know how to play with isida and doesn't know that he could actually heal a person,but anyways yeah tahts that

 

 

Overall people use this gun to heal people,not to attack,if some people are defending let them defend,Isida's usually get rewarded with flag captures that their OP teammates have harvested,and the isida themselves get points.

Their is no right or wrong use of Isida.  If someone wants to heal other tanks, camp, or use it in offensively, in tandem with others or as a sole raider, is entirely up to them.  When I use it, I chose and change its function depending on circumstances.  While when using it, I frequently charge up other team players, equally I am not their slave either.  The number of times Isiders have charged other tanks up at their own expense is countless.  At the same time the vast majority of players are selfish and after being charged up will then go on to steal the health box by physically struggling with a team Isida to prevent the Isida from receiving it.  This is not only selfish it is stupid as well because the Isida will go on to re-heal the other tank anyway.  In a group action the Isida should take precedence for having primary access to some stores especially health.  Of cause their are circumstances when that might not be the case but in group actions yes.

 

Their have been games were I have considered that the actions of other so called team mates so poor, that I have played out the entire game and refused to heal any of them.  If someone starts taking pot shots to encourage me to charge them, I will leave them stranded.  Supplies on the ground are for any one, if I think that a players has used bad play against another team player, for example pushing them off a supply drop or over the edge of a bridge just to get at something first, I wont charge them.

as an isida user myself, im actually really dissapointed in this persons generalization and stereotype he has created about isidas...

 

the isida and vulcan team-relationship thing is by far the most powerful alliance you could possibly create in tanki, and the isida benefits just as much as the vulcan. Its not against the rules, and especially due to the fact they were on your team, i dont understand why your so mad, you guys probably won just by that fact alone. 

 

camping is a legit strategy, for whatever reason, people always get mad at them, probably because its smart. minimal effort is required, and you can still rack up a pretty decent score. and maintain a good D/L... 

 

as of the isida, what that player said was not really nice, but honestly, dont assume that everyone who uses isida is like that. as an isida player myself, ill heal anyone who is within my range ;) not just a vulcan and mammoth..

Its funny because you are a Vulcan user.

Yes, we do get angry over people taking nitros beacuse they are very usefull for us because we can run around healing people, if you were about to die and isida comes like 2 seconds late, I am sure you start cursing and em and say mean stuff to em.

People use isida for crystals and XP.

 

 

And not everyone heals the Vulcan users, its usually a person that has M0 or M1, depending on the rank.

To be honest, isidas are actually game savers, to those who play poly CP alot will understand.

Your statement is not accurate.

A player who doesnt consider his isida doesnt deserve one.

Isida is not only for XP and crystals, its a very unique style of play that players like me like. (Im an attacking isida who also supplies midfield support. I dont support the flag carrier because: either I'm Hunter and Im slower so I go kill enemies or stop chasing enemied. Or I'm Hunter and I'M faster with more armor so I take flag. Or I'm wasp and no one is faster so I have flag. Or I'm wasp and I'm faster so I return flag. If I see flag on its way and I was anyway going to get flag then Ill support flag. If on my way out or in I see a tank i need of health ill heal him). I use Isida for the variety it gives. I never curse an Isida except one that ignores players needs or is noob.

Most players will heal the vulcan....

STOP SUPPORTING THE CAMPERS!

I'm serious, this is old.

I understand the Vulcan is the one fending off entire swarms of enemies, but there are more important people who need support.

Now, I WAS just defending with my Vulcan like usual, until three other Vulcans joined and did my job for me...

Alright, I start attacking and helping with the effort.

"operator u suck"... This Isida, who was doing nothing but support the three other Vulcans while I took all the punishment, said that I suck.

So I said: "It's funny, an Isida who sits there doing jack squat complains about a supporter who attacks 'sucks'."

"Maybe if you'd support the actual effort, I'd see you as more than a cheap punk.".

Then all hell broke loose because "I was being mean to the Vulcans' precious Isida".

I had already taken and captured a flag while the Isida who said that was busy kissing the other Vulcan's butts and making sure they were never damaged. In other words, making no difference in the battle.

Now my message to Isidas will be a bit mean, but this is ridiculous.

 

 

1. Make effort to do something for the team.

The first part is simple; Don't focus on ONE camper when the ENTIRE team is busy attacking.

Now, this might surprise you, but OTHER PEOPLE are on the team. With the exception of the lower ranks, usually there's three or four people actually doing something while the others sit around doing jack squat.

 

 

2. Stop supporting Vulcans exclusively.

I'm tired of this, just because I'm doing the most damage to incoming attackers doesn't mean I'm your priority.

People always complain about this at the higher ranks, that a DA'ed Mammoth-Vulcan with two Isidas can dominate a match.

I know firsthand that JUST DA will only get you so far, you need to have good awareness and an Isida IF you want to attack. But DA alone can make you an excellent defense.

 

3. Never call people a "noob" when they take a Speed Boost.

We're going to actually use it, so what does it matter? If you take a Speed Boost what are you actually going to accomplish? Sure you'll move faster, but the whole point of an Isida is support and healing.

You can do without it.

 

I hate to rant on such a trivial thing, but this was just too ridiculous to NOT rant about.

Boy you are surely mad   :lol: Calm down honey. isidas are useless in team battles. "You're on your own in team battles" i always go by that. You should do the same and spare yourself the butthurt ;)

Isidas really aren't useless in team battles...Have you ever tried killing an isida chain + a few drugging Vulcans?

 

And dude, "You're on your own in team battles"?? Note the "team"? Try a DM won't you?

isidas are useless in team battles.

1) team battles are kinda what Isida was made for .ya know. A support weapon

2) Low health.running with the flag.no repair kits in sight . About to be killed.and allofasudden a friendly Isida comes zooming out of nowhere .heals you and allows you to make the capture (often at the expense of a death for that Isida) .so Isidas are useless in team battles huh? Isidas often play a huge role in team battles.healing everyone .making sure that the key defenders and attackers are healed and safe (along with the flag runners / point holders ) just imagine how badly your team would do without at least 1 or 2 isidas
